I have been a customer for several years. I believe that they are honest, straightforward and hard working people. They may seem a bit "forward" at times but I find that refreshing. They tell you like it is, help when they can and they are always willing to discuss any issues or questions I may have had. The young men always offer to help me when my item(s) are heavy. I think most people don't ask the right questions, expect too much and blame them for their own mistakes. People need to Read all of the information that they post before they bid/sell any items. I helped my mother move and down size. We had to pay a mover almost $700 to move all of her stuff to R&R auction. We had numerous items from large leather sofa and love seats, very nice desks, dinining sets, bookshelves, storage units, armors, jewelry, 10 bags of Anthropologie clothes, shoes, dressers, Samsung washer and dryers, tvs, arts, you name it we had it. We had other businesses like them come and see our stuff they told us they can probably get 4000-$6000 for us. The only problem was we had to move quick and the other businesses did not have time that fast and they would have come and collected everything themselves. After 5 months of waiting, I got a check for $237!!! For everything. I had two electric matters base/bed that were never used from mattress firm that I had bought for $600 each. That was just two things. I am beyond disappointed. Never again. I much would have rather donated everything. This is insane. read more

I see a pattern looking through the reviews and the people who donate their items, (because that's basically what you are doing if you give your belongings to R&R), are not happy and getting ripped off but the buyers seem ok. He needs to achieve a better balance by maybe upping the prices? I had nice bikes they tried to say sold for $10 each. No way. This place frustrated the hell out of me in every imaginable way. First, if you win an auction, you'll ALWAYS get conflicting information on when you're supposed to pick it up. The web site will tell you to pick it up on a particular day, the invoice that's sent to you will always tell you to pick it up the day after the auction ends (no matter what day of the week it is), but the staff will inevitably tell you that you're not supposed to be there on that particular day to pick up. Perfect example: I won an item on the Saturday before Memorial Day. The auction itself said I should pickup on Monday, but the invoice said Sunday. Drove down Sunday, closed. Monday, closed. Showed up on Tuesday and was told that I should have known pickup would be on Tuesday. Second (which kinda ties into the first item), if you call their phone number, they don't answer. If you email them, they don't respond. This makes it almost impossible to determine when you should pick an item up if you have conflicting information. Finally, what you see in the pictures is not always what you get. Example: I won a stack of 20 records. The pictures showed the album covers as well as some pictures to represent the vinyl inside; all looked good. However, when I picked up the records, nearly half were heat-warped and were bent about a solid two inches; they were useless and completely damaged. When I pointed this out, I was told that I could come down and inspect the items before bidding...that just seems a little bit of a bad response. I recommend staying away from this place. read more

We made the mistake of inlisting the services of this company. Although they came highly recommended our history with them was anything but good. They we very happy to come and get our property but when it came to selling/auctioning it they (sorry) sucked. They took about 2 months to get our items sold and us paid . Worse yet there were several items that we consigned to them and didnt sell. We cant prove it but the couch and 2 chairs were in excellant condition and should have sold for at least garage sale prices. Finally we were told that our oak dining room table was broken and not saleable. Although old, this table was in excellent condition when it left our house. It was a solid oak table and would have to been dropped off the truck to have been broken. In closing, if you are considering using this company, I would run (not walk) away as fast as possible. read more

R&R Auction were easy with which to work. My pieces sold for more than I expected and I was so pleased with the results. I brought some items to them in person and then they came to my home to take more items. All items were sold and the structure of the seller's proceeds makes up for items that don't sell that well. Consequently, I made more profit on the higher selling items which is better than an across the board percentage. I would use them again and have recommended them to friends. read more

The reviews you are reading about the lady running R&R are true. She flies off the handle easily. I have witnessed her being rude to customers asking legit questions about the items they are picking up, and have experienced it first-hand. I just brushed it off. I've also experienced a couple of times where I won something and found that it was not there. No apologies offered. There was always an excuse for it. This alone was a bit off-putting, but the reason I am taking the time to review R&R today is an experience I had last week that warrants a review on YELP. Let me explain how I unintentionally brought the wrong Navajo rugs home with me. I think this is an area that the auction house needs to address, because I don't think I am the first one to have this happen. I brought a friend with a truck to help me pick up a table I purchased in the last auction. I also had some other items to pick up. Finding your stuff can be a hassle. There are different sections with ranges of numbers where you can find your items, but sometimes there are other items in that area. In short, you have to go around the auction and find your stuff, and finding items can be difficult at times. We looked for my rugs for awhile and couldn't find them. My friend saw two rugs on the floor and asked if they were mine. He said that there was no number on them. I asked if they were two small Navajo rugs. He said yes. I figured we finally found them. Apparently there were two lots of rugs, and we took the wrong ones. It was an accident. A few days later, I got a call from her. She said that I had picked up the wrong rugs and that she needed them back. Her tone was very rude right away. I had no idea I had the wrong rugs. She went off on me for awhile about making sure you have the right items, etc. I felt like a kid getting yelled at. It was not a good feeling. I asked about bringing them back the next week to combine exchanging the rugs and picking up future items. I live over an hour away. She exploded with that suggestion, and said that the rugs were part of a shipping order. She said she needed them right away. I then offered to ship the rugs to the person directly, and then pick up my own on my next trip. She shut down my suggestions. Her reason 'couldn't give out their address'. I came up with another solution. I offered to send them to her. She reluctantly agreed. She chewed me out-I can't recall the exact wording, but felt she was being unreasonable. At one point, she said 'fine' keep those rugs and you will be blocked from our auction." I never said I wanted to keep them? Finally she said I could mail the rugs to the auction house. She was very hard to reason with. I was very upset by what felt like an attack. I decided to drive the rugs back right then and there. I was halfway there and left a voicemail to let her know I was heading that way. She called back a few minutes later and said that they would be closed by the time I would arrive, and that this is why she told me to come on the weekend. I wish the call was recorded because I do not recall her saying to bring the rugs on the weekend. What I heard was that she needed them 'right now'. I let her know that I was already halfway there. I asked if I could leave the rugs with one of the businesses next to her and get my rugs. She agreed. In my mind the problem was solved. I also apologized for being short with her, but that I felt like I was coming up with solutions and she was shooting them down. She explained that she was frustrated because the customer she was shipping to had called and was angry with her that the shipment was late. I thought we were good. So I dropped off the rugs and picked up my rugs. I was pleasantly surprised to see the rugs I was getting were nicer than the ones I returned. Problem solved I thought. But,the next Sunday I logged on the live auction, and found that she blocked me from R& R auctions. It made no sense. That's right. I brought the rugs back to her within 2 hours of her notifying me about the situation, and she blocked me. In reality the blame for this issue has more to do with their policy for picking up items than blaming customers. My suggestion is for R&R to follow the policies of other auction houses and gather the items for customers to avoid issues. Although I feel I was wrongly removed, there are other auctions. read more

R&R Auction Inc house has repeatedly given away my winning auctions out from under me on three separate occasions. At first the excuse given was a program glitch which I can understand, the second occasion during the Christmas holidays last year was an excuse of accounting which I do not accept and the third occasion on April 14 was an excuse of a conflict with their software auction site that does not properly work with Hibid,com correctly (and there is no mention in their auction listings of using their website to ensure winning a lot number). What is truly unfortunate is my personal experience with the owners attitude of rudeness and in some cases down right nasty to a customer. I own a business and know how important it is to value a customer no matter how small the purchase. Yet with this last and final purchase from R&R Auction Inc, the "owner" charged me $10 for coming in the next day to pick up my single item (within normal store hours), was extremely rude when I questioned why part of my winning bids were given to another person and had no acknowledgement or addressed of my concerns . I am not sure what happened to the ownership in the last year with this business since prior to Covid and up to 14 months ago, their customer service and business etiquette was great. However, of all the auction houses in Phoenix which I purchase from, this is the only business where I have experienced this kind of treatment. Obvious to say I shall no longer be bidding from this vendor since I know there is a chance that even should I win a bid, I may not be able to receive the item I won. read more

We have had nothing but good experiences with this auction house. They have been helpful and understanding with us when we've communicated with them. As with anything in life there are rules and guidelines and if your new to the auction world it's important to understand those before entering the auction world as either a seller or buyer. Each place is different so make sure you understand the rules. UPDATE (6/25): Almost immediately after posting my initial review, an employee from R&R call me and told me that they would be mailing a check to me for the remaining balance of what I was owed from March. I did receive the check in the mail and I consider this matter resolved. Overall, I personally would not recommend this company but they did in the end pay me what I was owed so I thought that was worth noting here. BUYER BEWARE!!! I consigned items with this company. Several of my items were sold, paid, and shipped. This company still has not paid me. I was told that a previous order had a chargeback placed on it by one of their customers. That issue is between the auction house and it's customer but they are trying to screw me over. So buyer beware, these people are dishonest and rude. The owner is only available 1 hour a day apparently and still has not called me back to address this issue. read more

I had a similar experience to Sue Ann T. My computer showed that I won 8 lots, but my invoice the next day only showed winning 5 lots. In talking to Invaluable, my on-line bids were not accepted even though they showed on my computer as being accepted. Be careful we these folks, especially with the "live" auctions. I don't like being screwed over so I will take my business elsewhere. Sellers beware that these people chase the buyers away. When they chase all their buyers away, there won't be anyone left to buy your items. read more

I had (50) lots that I put together, so they wouldn't put a bunch of my stuff together and screw me over, but they still did, cause they are plain stupid! They were in such a big hurry to put items up to make as much money as they can, they don't don't care! And they make less money along with everyone bringing items in! I had bronze bookends and they didn't even mention they were bronze, I got next to nothing for them! along with everything else I brought, lucky I was just doing a test run! I hired Sheila and Lonnie in Nov 2022 Glendale AZ I was moving and wanted to have an estate sale for my house I was moving from R&R informed me if I brought my items to their store on Sundays everything on Sunday was $5.00 so I decided to have an estate sale $5.00 was not enough for my items. later they said they do everything at $5.00 which is incorrect , since my compliant with the AG office they have changed their website to correct their lies. I had many good items name brand purses with receipts inside , furniture etc I will supply pictures. ( as I was unable to upload with this ) per their request I paid them $500.00 to organize and set up , Lonnie said they would set up tables outside in the back yard to sell my items which was not done. Yes I did have to delay a week which I appreciated it due to movers not showing up due to truck problems . We discussed how much I could get for some items, she said china sold for $60.00 at one sale so she knew I did not want $5.00 for each item . R&R are crooked & dishonest and they did not make any effort to work out with me , they basically let people in my home I had to leave due to my dog ill and dying i trusted them because they were licensed and my realtor referred them however later I found out he did not know them , he got a flyer from them at a network meeting , R&R took or sold many items that were not listed in the list of sold items they gave me but were removed from my house which the Ad showed all my items listed in the pictures . My Lane Cedar hope chest was removed and not listed two people had to lift it because it was big and heavy , strange no one seen this removed or payment made. After the sale the next day I had to meet their customers to load and pick up Shiela told me to move items outside and leave it how do you move furniture large items outside by yourself they used my moving boxes paper and plastic they supplied nothing. I emailed and texted Shiela many times after the sale copies are all included in my complaints and did not hear back nor receive any list of my sold items nor a check , I went to their store Shiela was not helpful said she thought she paid me she said she never received my calls, text and email's , I asked to meet with Shiela and Lonnie they are listed as the owners of the company, never heard back. They asked me to leave or they would call the police , Sheila told AG office she was scared of me I am under 5 ft older person . I filed a compliant with the Attorney General Office and BBB, BBB said R&R never responded so BBB gave them a D rating , Attorney's office were told R&R paid me however Sheila said she could not provide a cancelled check, recently I asked AG office to ask for a copy of this check no reason for that excuse it took few months and few letters from AG office before R&R responded to AG. If they were upstanding company they should reinbused me for their fee of $500.00 and the items they sold and missing items taken and not listed. Apprx 50 pages were sent in to validate my claim Pictures of my items, list of what they sold which was not much, it is disheartening they cheat people . One man whom returned a item that was left in a piece of furniture he purchased , said he had never been to an estate sale but stopped and seen the sign , he said everything was so cheap , people were walking out with items just giving a price he said one person offered $20.00 for a shelf of items and appliances. Please be careful I would not use them, I took my agent's word he knew them , my rule is you treat people how you want to be treated, I should of checked them out prior you can view my complaints at the AG office pictures , lists paperwork and with the BBB office I would not want this to happen to others. Steer clear or with caution if you're an on-line bidder. Precedence is given to audience bidders. My top bid, placed 3 days befor the auction, was $150. Every bid increment the audience bid was taken first. I was watching (obviously I wanted the item). The audience bid was taken before my high bid and, before I could touch the keyboard to bid higher, it was sold. I've been bidding on-line for 20 years and you just realize when auctions don't want on-line bidders to win. This was my first and last experience. Never again. read more

My husband and I purchased from R & R once before, no problems and the staff helped us load. It was just me this time and when I got there the gal was quick to tell me there was no way they would help me load the items, that they couldn't risk liability for peoples cars, that they could not get hurt and then not work, blah, blah, blah. She went on to say that the gal should have charged me extra for not picking up on Monday, although I called to confirm their hours for Tuesday. I get that there are rules but to be nasty about it is unnecessary. Also I guess I am the only female to pick up an item. We've done lots of auctions, and they have always helped. " This is where R&R Auctions provides such a vital service at a reasonable cost. They came, picked up the items for a fee and then put my Mother's items into several auctions over a six week period of time. They kept meticulous records of each item and each transaction. After the auctions were complete they sent a full account and a check for my share. Most importantly, it went smoothly from start to finish. I cannot even imagine how they keep everything straight with auctions every weekend and having so many families to help. I don't necessarily blame them for the costs of the shipping (though they are the ones who chose the shipper so they do have some responsibility). I took some stuff down to be auctioned. I had a blue Italian glass decanter was one of the items I took in. When auction time came I was watching all my stuff but I never saw the decanter up for auction. I asked about and was told they weren't sure what happened to it they thought it might have gotten broken. Really?? Didn't know what happened to it?! They said they would look into it. I didn't hear from them so I emailed and asked again and they still weren't sure. I said how weird how it just disappeared. I was told I could get a tax write off for it. That decanter was one of the best things I had to put up for auction and they don't know what happened to it. I thought I should let you all know this before you decide to use their service. I don't think they handled my situation very professionally. read more
