As I knew he would do eventually because he does it with almost every one-star review (there are so many of them!), Bo Patrick came along and whined that he had somehow been mistreated by clients deeply unhappy with his service. Our contract with Fidelity stated that the sale would include artwork. It did not specify oil paintings. We did ask Fidelity to auction artwork, and all the artwork we wanted to offer for sale was photographed weeks ahead of the auction by Fidelity's employees or agents. To be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. In his reply to my original review, Bo claims that "The day before the auction [my family] removed $20,000 in artwork and now you are upset because we charged you a commission to do that but that's exactly what the contract allows us to do." First of all, it's quite a shock to read that we owned artwork worth $20,000, because that's not what Bo told us at the time. He gave us a much more modest assessment of the paintings' value. Second, regardless of the worth of the paintings, that is not what happened. I don't know if Bo's memory is so poor that he cannot recall the events of his sale with us, if he is so lazy that he did not bother to check the facts, or if he is sufficiently deficient in honesty that he doesn't care about the facts. But his account is wrong. Bo knew that the oil paintings would not be for sale. We had a Zoom meeting with him and Kelsee more than three weeks before the auction in which he tried to persuade us to let Fidelity sell the oil paintings and our father's home; thank God we never seriously entertained the idea of letting him sell the house. But we told him immediately after the Zoom meeting that we had decided against selling the oil paintings. When Bo originally talked to us about the paintings, he wanted to have an online auction, so that people all over the world could bid on them. But that never happened, because we told them weeks ahead of time that the oil paintings would not be included. Again, to be clear: WE DID NOT ALLOW FIDELITY TO PHOTOGRAPH FOR THE AUCTION ANY ORIGINAL OIL PAINTINGS OR ADVERTISE THEM FOR SALE ON THEIR WEBSITE. You cannot believe anything Bo says. He whines that he "had buyers from all around Arizona and other states drive-in for those paintings.... When they arrived, they were very upset with us as an Auction firm.... You affected our reputation that day big time." But if Bo had people traveling from out of state to bid on items we told Bo were not for sale and did not let Fidelity photograph or advertise for the auction, well, that sounds very suspect to me. It is by no means our fault if Bo advertised for sale things he knew would NOT be for sale. We did not affect his reputation--HE did. If people were upset with him that day, it is entirely his fault. Bo won in our lawsuit against Fidelity not because the contract let him charge a commission (the judge agreed that it was a very badly written contract and did not redound to Bo's favor) but because, as I stated before, at the hearing, the judge allowed one and only one witness to speak: Bo's partner Kelsee Wirtjes. Please read my original review to see what happened next. In the time since I posted my original review, Fidelity has received two more five-star reviews, but three more one-star reviews. Their previously poor rating is even worse now--and it's entirely their own fault. The crucial point remains the one with which I concluded my original review: Why would you hire an estate sale company who is so disliked by most people who have hired it? Learn from our mistakes. However much he tries to shift the blame for his bad reviews to the people foolish enough to hire him, the fact nonetheless remains that most people who hire him to run an estate sale are extremely unhappy with his services. read more

A friend recommended this company to me for the sale of my mom's home. One of our family members reached out (before I signed anything with this company) and said they prefer to go with a family friend realtor instead (keep in mind this family member waited until I had found Fidelity to bring up this other realtor which was frustrating for me but here we are). Their company came recommended so we went with them. WHAT A MISTAKE!! They had no clue as to the value of artwork, or the value of a truck, or a fur coat and jewelry. If I would have known that they were this irresponsible, I would never have hired them. If you want to give your stuff away for pennies, this is the company for you. The funny thing is; they made more money than we did. And their regulars, not sure which ones, but had the audasity to steal some items that were not in the auction. Karma. I will NEVER recommend this company. Totally disgusted and totally disappointed that we trusted them to do a good job for us. They talk a good game, but the results are horrible. And the finale is the person that recommended conversed with him and Bo told her that it was a success. When I spoke with her and told her what happened, she had Bo call us and I told him that he should look up the word "Success" in the dictionary, that the entire auction was a "DISASTER". I can't express how kind and thoughtful dealing with the owner Bo was. My deceased parent's home was destroyed and condemned by the city by a hoarder. (Like the kind you see on TV.) I was ready to give it back to the bank and not deal with it. Fidelity Estate Services came through with a great offer. Not only did they pay the loan off, but they gave an offer to put money in the families pockets. Fidelity literally stripped it down to the studs and rebuilt it. If you found Fidelity Estate Services through estatesales.net, and had an experience similar to mine, please reach out to me through the message feature. I can admit I made some mistakes in this process, the first of which was ignoring the low reviews from people on this site. I assumed that over the years it was inevitable that a company would have a few bad customers, and for the most part, the reviews were positive, right? Herein lies my second mistake: a failure to read both the reviews and between the lines. Buyers love this company, sellers seem to have much less positive experiences. On the phone Bo was friendly and personable. We discussed my parents' estate, I sent some pictures and we set a follow up conversation as I was calling around to see who could work within my timetable. Bo seemed particularly interested in the vehicles (two motorcycles and a truck), as were the other companies I talked to. Other estate sale services told me that the vehicles they sell are handled on a different commission structure and not subject to the flat 30-35% (which varies from company to company) and over the phone Bo told me the same. This wasn't reflected on the contract I signed, but we had discussed this on at least two different occasions, so we must be good right? Like I said, I can admit I made some mistakes in this process, and expecting a verbal contract to be honored was certainly a mistake on my part. Fidelity's crew arrived at the agreed upon time for setup, staged everything, assured me everything was in order other than a motorcycle title I needed to track down, and based on that I assumed we were good. It turns out that none of the vehicle titles were actually good to go so I had to do a fair bit of legwork after the auction but, hey, I had never done private vehicle sales before and it was a complex situation with the estate so I can't really be too upset about that. This was, it turns out, the only part of the process I can't be too upset at. After the sale, but before they would provide a list of what was sold and what it went for, we arranged a clean up to get the house broom ready. We settled on a price and, as I needed to offset the tax burden of the estate, an itemized list of what was donated (see below). They were able to empty out the house in a day, but in the course of doing so the alarm system had to be unplugged and would not boot back up. Normally this wouldn't be a huge deal but we still had some goods in the house and, surprise surprise, the one night in over a year and a half where it didn't have an alarm, it was burgled. Truly an amazing coincidence. This is where things begin to deteriorate. I received payment (which I have been advised to not cash until my issues are resolved) and find that the vehicles, which made up roughly 75% of total sales, were in fact subject to the standard commission structure. After setup fees, commission, and cleanout fees, I grossed less than half of total sales. While this would have been disappointing in and of itself, things only got worse from there. The list of donated items I was promised was not included in my receipts. I reached out, asking for it, and received no response. I waited a week and tried again. At this point it seems like I have been ghosted. Somehow, things got worse. There are things you don't want to hear after a bad experience with an auctioneer, "I can't believe the truck went for so little, I was willing to pay twice that" is one of them. This came up when I was helping get a title sorted for someone who had bought one of the other vehicles. Apparently he had bid significantly more for a pickup, and when he couldn't place half down in cash at the end of day (he offered card and check), they auctioned it off among the people who were still there for roughly half what he had bid for it. He told me that he went to a lot of auction and that this one was... different. The vehicles were the clearly the focus with everything else an afterthought. He said he'd never been to an auction where they would offer an entire room and, if there were no bids, just move on without focusing on any of the furniture or other goods. $50 for everything in your late father's office, no takers? Moving on. Hey, buyers love this company for a reason! Months later, and a few calls to the website I found Fidelity Estate Services on, I received the, or at least a, donation form (see below). There are many words I could use to describe what I received: 'laughable', 'insulting', 'questionable', and many others I simply cannot say in a Yelp review. Unfortunately, a word I can't use to describe the donation form I was sent three months after I was promised one, is 'usable'. While I'm disappointed at the financial loss, what really bothers me is that so many things my parents loved, instead of going to people who would continue enjoying them, got tossed to the side to quickly sell a truck and a couple of Harleys. I am very disappointed with this company . The fiduciary company I hired to deal with my brothers estate hired Bo and his company . I live out of state so it was hard to keep track of what was happening and I was discouraged from being there when they started the cleanup of his house. I think the auction of the things in his house went ok, but I don't think the vehicle auction brought in what it should have . Additionally whatever people were hired to clean out his house saved NOTHING personal !!!! They had been told to do so by the fiduciary company I hired . My brother had a lot of my dads things plus his own personal things ( photos etc ) that I was told would be put aside for me. When asked where everything was , Bo said there was nothing ! If you hire them , just get what you want beforehand . read more

After the first appointment, 5 stars but by the end 1 star. This was my experience: Seller Beware. What should have been a huge success was a giant failure, at least for us and I will have to bear that burden on behalf of four estates the rest of my life. Lesson 1 we were told Fidelity Estate's clients would pay more than spot for silver and gold coins and bars; for the most part that is NOT the case and then you have to pay the commission. I advise going to your local Gold and Silver exchange; a lot less commission and you'll get spot price. Lesson 2 we were told to give Fidelity Estate everything, which we did, BUT then they only sold part of it and gave the rest to another auction house without letting them know it was from 4 estates. We were told only less valuable items would be sent to the other auction house but this was NOT the case as even four antique pieces of furniture Fidelity Estate specifically said to include were forwarded to the other auction house. Lesson 3 make sure things are correctly labeled before Fidelity Estate lists the items Online. We tried to get it corrected but were told it was too late; thus affecting sales price in our opinion. Also, we NEVER received an inventory list as promised. To this day, we're not sure what Fidelity Estate had in spite of an extensive spreadsheet of a lot of our items that I already had made for my personal use. Lesson 4 look at sample pictures for the Online auction. The background cloth they used was terribly wrinkled and some of the pieces weren't fully dusted thus making for very poor quality pictures. Lesson 5 if you think your items are going to be in YOUR auction, that's not necessarily the case as Fidelity Estate mixed in other items from other clients into our auction items. There were several other things that happened but let me end with: if you have a choice, and you do, use someone else to sell your prized possessions. Bo begins his auction with the pledge of allegiance which I find inspirational. A lot of time is spent on presentation of merchandise and no false promise of what is offered. The staff truly loves what they are doing and are helpful and efficient. Bo's voice is clear and his chant is not over done. He was honest about what he felt he could sell and what he thought would be worth it to me. I look forward to continuing our business relationship. Four stars only because of the original encounter. I will also update as the process continues. I am so disappointed with this company. They had high stars so I chose to send them an email with some of the things I need to sell as well as possibly needing them to have an estate sale for me. Bo and his partner Brad were so helpful during the process of appraising and then auctioning the valuables in my parents' estate. I originally was referred to Bo when in Arizona a year ago when my father was still alive and in assisted living. A court told me I needed an appraisal of my parents' large collection of Native American art and other valuables to complete an conservatorship. Unfortunately Dad passed in February and Bo helped me with the court-ordered appraisal after coming to California to secure the valuables before I remodeled their residence. It took several months to set up a series of online auctions on Invaluable, but the results were worth it. It would have taken me a lifetime to sell the volume of Indian art, coins, sports memorabilia and other knickknacks. I was especially impressed with the prices that my parents' furniture from the 1950's brought. My father chose Fidelity Estate Services to handle an auction for our family heirlooms and we were very disappointed. He sold everything way too low and no where near their value as antiques and he never told us that he was not very good at getting the crowd to become excited about the items. My dad requested that he not sell tables full of items for $5, but he disobeyed my Dad's request and sold several tables for $5. WE GOT HARDLY ANY MONEY FOR ITEMS. MR. BO PATRICK LEFT OUR PROPERTY UNSECURED AND MANY ITEMS WERE STOLEN INCLUDING COINS FROM A COIN COLLECTION AND VALUABLE RINGS. Then there were items that disappeared from our home, but they do not appear on the sheets that Mr. Patrick provides so he must have taken the items or they disappeared when our home was in his care and control. We had to sit and wait until after 6 pm even though Mr. Patrick left at around 2pm, for everyone to leave our home. He and his clients TRASHED OUR HOME, spilled coffee on the carpet and he is not even taking responsibility for the mess they left and they destroyed our marble floor. He will not return a call back because he does not feel that he is responsible for cleaning the rugs or fixing the marble floor, but he is responsible. It is my opinion and the opinion of our neighbors who were present at our sale, that we would NOT HIRE Mr. Patrick and his team ever again. THEY SUCK!! He does not tell his clients that he also collects another 15% from the buyers. He even STOLE OUR HAND TRUCK and used it for over a month before he finally admitted that he took our hand truck and never paid for it. What a JOKE THIS MAN IS. He even got mad at me and made several prank phone calls to our home phone number because I put the truth on Ripoff Report.com #1408153. This man claims that he has 30 years of experience, I would say he has a lot of experience in ripping people off and taking advantage of elderly people. Be careful reading other REVIEWS. We hired this company to sell an extensive estate from our parent's home. This was not an ordinary sale--Our parents previously owned an antique store and were lifelong collectors of fine items. Every day prior to the auction, We were promised a detailed lot review and visibility into the actual auction. No information was ever received. I can't overstate that we requested this information on a daily basis. After the auction, we were promised a detailed auction breakdown for each lot nor was it received. We were charged $12,000 for a one day move to relocate the auction items less than 40 miles. This was ridiculous! Prior to signing a contract with this company, we were told to expect net receipts of $35,000-$45,000. Our final take on gross receipts of $34,000 was $10,000. This company is a scam! read more

DO NOT USE THIS AUCTION SERVICE . My name is Cindy Stahl. Ginger and myself went to most of Wayne Patrick's auctions. I used Bo Patrick to auction my large collection of watches, mostly vintage, and antiques. He used online auctions. I was never sent full accounting for the auctions showing what was sold and the dollar amounts. There were more huge issues. The first two auctions did not did not include all of my items. I discovered many of these remaining items in three other auctions but had to force Bo to admit these were my items. He very begrudgingly admitted that he made the mistakes after I provided proof kof his errors. The errors were his as he did not keep proper records and placed my items in other peoples auctions. Even then I did not receive payment. He at one point hung up on me discussing the issues. None of the errors very even remotely my fault but I lost a considerable amount of money. This has been very frustrating and stressful. read more

Bo has a great auction house, but he gets greedy and tries to cheat people. My 60 items were spread between 4 or 5 on-line and on-site auctions. I received payment for the first on-line auction, and then nothing! I phoned him a month or so after the auctions had finished and he acted surprised that I had not received further checks. We are talking about 30 items that I was not paid for. I had witnessed myself in the on-line auctions that the items had sold, but Bo claimed that the buyers had backed out. OK then let me pick up my items. Mysteriously they have disappeared. I don't believe it. I would never recommend this auction house. Without honesty a business is nothing. read more

Flew in and purchased a boat from one of Bo Patrick's Fidelity Auctions. As the boat was registered out of State, getting the correct documentation was difficult at best and took a little time. Bo, true to word, ensured that all proper documentation arrived. Other auctioneers might have gotten their money and left the purchaser in a rut to figure it out on their own. Not Bo. His communication about the transaction was impeccable and timely. Although incredibly busy he always took my calls, and then spent the time to inform me as to his progress with the attorneys he was working with. TAKES CARE OF EVERYTHING FROM SET UP TO CLEAN UP! I highly recommend Fidelity - my parents were moving from a remote location in Tonopah back east with family. We tried dozens of estate sale companies in the area but we were too remote for them. We were even too remote for the Good Will truck! Then I found Fidelity and Bo came right out and went over the whole process with us. Our main concern was the remote area- but Bo assured us he has a following and a very effective advertising plan. The auction was packed and cars were lined up all the way out on the highway. Nearly everything sold. They came out and cleaned up after the auction so we did not need to return to AZ for any reason.
