Probably my favorite pizza spot - ever! The crust is crispy and amazing, I love that they have kalamata olives and not just black olives. The calamari is delish also. And the salad (without the peppers, I don't like them) is very good with Gorgonzola on it. Delish. Worth it, one try and you'll be back for more. read more

The rice balls, pizza and mule were amazing! Staff is super friendly and attentive. Felt bad though my husband didn't not like the wings just wasn't his style/flavor of choice so the waiter was concerned when we didn't want a box for them a manager (I assume) came over concerned too. They didn't want us to be unhappy with the food and that is not their fault it was just a flavor choice everyone has things they don't care for it is no fault in the cooking at all but they took the wings off the order. Definitely recommend this place but I will note if you like traditional trash commercial wings you may not like theirs even though they are good! read more

10/10 service to the bartenders tonight! I love coming here on Thursday nights. They have specials for 9$ specialty cocktails including the old fashions. You cannot beat it! The service/ ambiance/ food was amazing. I highly recommend the cauliflower crust pizzas and the meatballs. read more

Attempted to go Sunday night for the first time at this location. Regulars at lighthouse point. Well we walked out, after 15 minutes and not even being able to put our name on the wait list! If the RUDE hostess screaming at customers is any indication of service at this location, then you have a big problem! Perhaps she gets away with it, don't understand how your particular clientele deals with that. Sorry Delray, I'll drive to Lighthouse point! Great spot with delicious food and drinks! In town visiting family and we all met here right from the airport. We were door busters and got there right at 11:30 when the place opened. The staff was friendly, attentive and so patient with out 12 person party. Mozzarella sticks and the artichoke to start were wonderful. For my main dish I had the Mona Lisa pizza which had prosciutto and kalamata olives. It was so good! Of course, the Nutella pizza for dessert. If I lived in the area I would be a regular! We are weekly customers and truly enjoy Sicilian Oven in Lighthouse Point location's atmosphere and food. Tonight was exceptional with a server we had for the first time, Kaylene. While we always get good service at Sicilian Oven, tonight it was great service. Friendly, attentive and anticipated things (I.e.: my glass was never empty) before we needed to ask. I told the bartender that I'll order a meatball for an appetizer and then my meal. Well everything came at once By the time I ate my meatball. My eggplant parmigiana was getting cold. Then the pasta was tough and definitely cold. I politely mentioned it to the bartender. Her reply ? Yeah , they usually send everything out separately and walked away . That's not a good answer. The correct answer. would be an apology and what can I do to fix this. I was at the bar and it was not busy at all. Disappointed. I go there 3-4 times a month. I don't see this happening. This restaurant has really gone downhill. Once a favorite of mine, now has horrible service(on several occasions), cold and undercooked food, and a manager who could turn excuses into poetry. Offering insincere apologies followed by the justification as to why my family had a horrible experience, will not solve the issue. I'd much rather him own his staff's mistakes and reassure us that the issues we had will be addressed. Rather we hear "We normally have good food", "This never happens", "It's our system's fault". At the end of the day, you can offer free meals to resolve all your problems, but when you fail to see the point a customer is trying to make, you're failing as a manager. read more

The recently renovated favorite pizza restaurant in lighthouse point has been open for two weeks now and is a very pleasant dining experience. We took an early dinner time with our a two year old grandson and were accommodated very quickly before the crowds arrived. The service is professional and the food is great. There are many pizza styles to choose from and traditional Italian dishes too. I especially like their chicken wings which are very tasty. Parking is not a problem , no reservations are taken so expect to wait if you dine out late. read more

Of the myriad of so-called Italian or pizza restaurants, I tend to be a fan of Sicilian Oven as its pizzas tend to be out of the ordinary, more unique in offerings and their other food definitively Sicilian as opposed to being some sort of Italian of generalized Sicilian generic. When I first walked in, my eye was immediately taken by the fact that they had not one but two open fire ovens and that their kitchen area was in plain view, keep neat and orderly with a clean appearance. Their pizzas tend to be of the ticker crust, but of good texture. When they have it (it's generally on daily special only) their clam pizza with a white based sauce is not only unique but one of the best. When last here I ordered their roasted artichoke, their cervelatta and a glass of Chianti wine. My server, Dillon, couldn't have been more professional, polite and helpful. My glass of wine came with a full pour and when my artichokes arrived, they were three half cut portions of good size, perfectly open fire roasted, done with fresh to the taste lemon and bowl of tasty dipping sauce. They also didn't forget to give me an extra bowl for the leaves. The cervelatta came as a traditional rope sausage nicely open fire roasted on a bed of sautéed onion and roasted red pepper. Though I think more of Cambria area, hence not technically Sicilian as it is separated by the Strait of Messina, cervelatta is still from the "toe" of the Italian boot, true Sicilian enough for me, totally unlike the Swiss counterpart, cervelat. As there aren't that many restaurants that keep true to Sicilian or where you can get an artichoke anything or a cervelatta, Sicilian Oven is about as good as it gets for what it is. read more

We have ordered delivery from Sicilian Oven several times via Delivery Dudes, mostly the wood fire Pizza which is pretty good, but yesterday we went to have a late lunch at the actual restaurant for the first time. We sat at the bar which serves beer and wine only. The restaurant was a bit dark, the dining room is large and well laid out with regular tables and high tops through out, service was friendly for the most part. We noticed several of the servers (mostly young girls) were gathered at the end of the bar looking bored, we were there before the dinner rush so the place wasn't busy yet but the Service staff should be aware that they may still have a few customers like us and it made us feel uncomfortable to watch them just standing at the end of the bar as we are trying to eat lunch. We ordered wine and Pellegrino to start, we were surprised that we weren't offered any garlic rolls or any type of bread. We started with the Arugula Salad served with brushetta, Parmesan cheese and their homemade vinaigrette - The Arugula was fresh, but we didn't care for the dressing, it was overwhelming, and overly drenched the salad. For lunch I ordered the Ravioli Bolognese, the pasta is not made fresh and tasted like it was previously frozen, the sauce was good and tasted fresh which is why it was so disappointing to have it served with previously frozen Raviolis. My husband ordered the Penne Cervelletta with Broccoli rabe, he enjoyed the sausage and the rabe but he wasn't thrilled with the Penne, we asked how their pasta was prepared and our server confirmed that they do not make any fresh pasta, they only prepare the sauces, this is disappointing for a restaurant that advertises home cooked food however doesn't make their own pasta. Great service team working around the floor. Great calamari and spicy marinara (cherry peppers used) to go along with it. The spicy is optional and standardly serves with traditional sauce. The pizza was thin and cooked well done which is how I like pizza. The owners have their faces on a wall poster with original pleasing quotes that are also on the pizza boxes and on a self made "hot evoo" they created which all together makes me trust their background and passion towards their restaurant and their people. I would go back again to try their other dishes. Nonna and I split a "The Boss" pizza, a simple fresh mozz and basil pizza. The mozz was fresh, the basil too. I only felt it was a bit too greasy. I understand it comes from the cheese but this pizza's topping shouldn't have created that amount of grease. Grease even all on over the crust. NOW, that may have been evoo topped on after taking the pizza from the brick oven as some makers will and do that so don't take my word on the last comment because I did not ask to confirm! Where have you been all my life??? Right down the street and I had no idea how great the food, atmosphere and service is! I've driven passed it a million times and never tried it. (Maybe because I'm Italian and Italian restaurants are such a disappointment to me) Went there last night with another couple. I had the arugula salad and it was fresh and delish! Although it was way bigger than anticipated and no one but me likes the bitter arugula.. lol. I then ordered the philly cheese with no bread. I thought well, I need protein but no carbs. They served it in a iron skillet with peppers and mushrooms and omg! It was the best dish on the table and they were all amazing. Shocking Experience: Our third disappointing experience. The food is mostly good, except the spaghetti/ tomato sauce. The alcoholic drinks are expensive and small just something to consider. The bar service and the management is the main problem. We had a problem a few weeks ago with a chicken meal being under cooked, we regretted saying anything because it was turned around that we were the problem. We gave up and said it fine and left. . TONIGHT we witnessed a CRAZY situation with a Customer and the Manager Peter. We were shocked! The whole area witnessed the Mgr and the customers interaction. Surprisingly the mgr seemed to escalate and even be aggressive towards the customer by ripping something out of her hand and then stomping off like a child. During their exchange we over heard the lady saying she requested a copy of the check. We heard the mgr say, thats our policy. The lady said loudly it was uncomfortable tipping the server while she was holding the machine while she paid. (On that point I completely agree personally I hate those machines and it feels rushed and awkward) I only what we witnessed and I felt bad for the customers to be treated like that. I know this location had issues in the past about being anti-America but this was a real shocker! Yes it was that bad. I can not imagine how this couple felt.
