I ordered the lasagna, it does have meat. The lasagna came with two garlic rolls and a side salad. The restaurant was busy. The inside lighting was very dim. Plenty of space to dine.Some people may complain about the portions size of the lasagna for take out, but it was good enough for me. I just wish the side salad portion size was larger. Food is always very good. we love the salads and the garlic rolls... I ordered chicken française lol last night order was quite a bit smaller than it usually is I don't know why and also I didn't recognize any of the staff typically it's the same people every time I even asked if it's under new ownership had me concerned that the serving size was smaller..... ( I usually have a little bit left to take home, but yesterday I had it all and was still a little bit hungry ) I come here because the foods very good, but also the servings are usually very generous. very curious why none of the old staff as there on a Friday night if there's a change in ownership hopefully the owner will see this and let me know. Looking for something different; we decided to visit a spot called La Pizzeria in Margate Going in, the place had a large amount of seating, clean inside, and got slightly more packed as we ate our meal. For dinner, we kept things super simple and ordered a large pizza pie with mushrooms & peppers. Moving on with my review; both the food and service was great! The pizza had a nice crispy exterior, vibrant sauce, cheesy, and fresh veg! I do find that the cheese could've been more browned on top, but still good nevertheless. Moreover, service was fast and super friendly. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience tonight and have considered coming back here again. Final verdict 4/5 stars! read more

This was my go-to Italian restaurant when we lived in Coconut Creek/Margate/Coral Springs area. The food is excellent. I didn't realize they have a great lunch menu, with smaller sizes and very reasonable prices. Our server was knowledgeable and did great with recommendations! read more

La Pizzaria is a family owned Italian restaurant the family owns two other Italian restaurants in the area. This restaurant is consistent, and has wonderful value. The choice of soup or salad salad is fresh with each entrée. The garlic knots or pizza dough nuts without garlic are soft and delicious and plentiful. This is my third time coming to this restaurant. The first time I was here for a birthday party in the back room. There were 15 guests with plenty room to walk around the table. The second time I was here, I had delicious shrimp oregenata. And the only comment was that it could've had more breadcrumbs the shrimp which had six on my order. We're just an average size. I did not take pictures that evening Last night, I went back and I ordered a veal dish with a lemon sauce and spinach, which was delicious and had a side of spaghetti with one meatball and extra three dollars to take home for another meal. My friend had a veal dish with eggplant and she said it was the best of both worlds, the eggplant was very soft and delicious. We enjoyed our meal and the service was wonderful. read more

My husband and I have been ordering from La Pizzeria since the first day we moved to Margate in 2019. We ordered pizza and wings from there to feed the friends that helped us move. We were instantly hooked! Since then, we have probably put the staff through school with how much we've ordered to get us through the pandemic. There is no bad meal here. Our favorites are the pizza (of course), wings, sausage roll, stuffed artichoke, spaghetti and meatballs, eggplant parmigiana dinner, and their tiramusu. The restaurant is designed with a nice New York meets Italy vibe. The service has always been friendly though we mostly do takeout because we live walking distance away. I can easily say this is my favorite restaurant in Margate. read more

I could not believe how busy La Pizzeria was on a rainy Tuesday evening. Unfortunately it appeared they were a little short staffed as we waited a long time after getting water and asked twice for a waiter before someone took our order. The waitress was apologetic. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer, it was fried golden and was very good. Our meals included Chicken Marsala, Flounder Francaise, and various pizza slices. My Chicken Marsala was delicious with a lot of mushrooms. It was more than enough for 2 meals. Everyone enjoyed their meals. After the initial delay service was attentive and pleasant. There is a non-taxed fee, added to your check if you use a credit card, I did not see such notification prior to receiving my bill. The balance they use to determine the tip amount they print at the bottom of the receipt includes tax as well as this additional fee. The interior is welcoming and looks like a typical New York Italian restaurant I can't believe it took me so long to visit LaPizzeria, overall it was a very enjoyable dinner read more

Service was excellent, serving sizes massive, but I felt like the food was missing flavor. I would rate 3.5 stars if able. We came during lunch time and we ordered off the lunch specials menu - I ordered the chicken parmigiana plate (which was served with a choice of soup or salad, two garlic rolls and a soft drink all for $14.95) and my husband had the chicken pizza roll (came with a soft drink for $12.95). Salad was fair and I did like their house vinaigrette. The garlic rolls were pretty bland, lacked garlic flavor for sure. My plate of chicken was hefty for a lunch serving, and even though I came starving I left with a doggie bag to feed me for lunch tomorrow. The pizza roll was pretty good, but their marinara was what shined. The waiter was very thorough and made sure to check on us after the food came. Heard from a few people this week about this place and I went in knowing that it was very much a local favorite. Wasn't expecting to be blown away by anything but I was super curious to see how it stacked up against some of my favorite local places. When we arrived on a Saturday night, it was busy, stood waiting to be seated for a little while until this woman walked up to us and I honestly thought she was a guest trying to get past us to the door. We sat at a booth way too big for us, seemed odd since they were busy and there was only 2 of us. There are tvs but no music playing which make it feel more authentic Italian so people can come in large groups and chat with family. I eyeballed on the menu before we came the calm linguine with white sauce so we got garlic rolls and an order of that pasta. We also got soup or salad so I got pasta fagoli. Soup was good, basic, but fine, not overly salty like some can be. The garlic rolls were heavy garlic which I love and warm. When the pasta came out it was piled with calms, only 3 or 4 in shells so it made me nervous that the rest were frozen and thrown in after. It wasn't super flavorful, I brought it home for leftovers and the next day put salt and pepper on it to liven it up a bit. Our server also didn't seem to be having a good night. I caught him frustrated with the bus boy and getting pretty upset with him right next to us. The bus boy also flung garlic all over my husband when he left which is fine because my husband is already Italian so sometimes he needs some freshening up, but I think he (busboy) may be new and that's why we kept catching him in a mistake. It happens. I wasn't ecstatic about our experience but this place definitely has its following and they don't need me, so I'll go back to my favorite place instead. read more

Second time trying this restaurant.. first time dining in. Was hoping by eating the pizza straight outta the oven would yield better results. Not the case sadly. Ordered a large cheese pizza, asked for it well done, along with a chicken parm panini. The pizza came out first, glistening in oil, and not crispy. Was told the chicken parm panini was not ready yet and will be out shortly. It came out 6-7 minutes later. The first bite was the last bite. The chicken was paper thin and hard as a rock. Frustrating as the staff were friendly and the ambiance was pleasant. Waiter did remove panini from the bill. Wanted to like this place since it's close by, but I will be driving to Boca for better quality Italian. read more

Tonight had dinner here and the only complaint that I had was we arrived and took them a long time to come and take our order because they thought the other waiter was helping. The food as always was great and what I ordered actually was something the waitress never thought of and wanted to go and try it. Capreese salad and add grilled eggplant. La Pizzeria is one of our favorite restaurants. They offer a wide variety of dishes and every one that I have eaten has been excellent. The wait staff are all pleasant and quick with their service. I love that two people can sit at their booths which are all able to seat six people. The room is spacious and tables are spaced nicely. The hostess is pleasant and she reminds me of a traditional Italian Mama. My husband's favorite dish is their Eggplant Rollatini while I especially enjoy their Rigatoni Bolognese and the Chicken Margherita. Garlic rolls, hot out of the oven, come with a dinner. Don't forget to try their pizzas which are excellent. Finally, their Tiramisu is one of the best. read more

Barone's was recommended by a family member who has lived in Florida for many years. We decided it was the place to meet for dinner as it was midway for all family members to travel. I can say we had an enjoyable evening. Needless to say, the company was outstanding, reconnecting is wonderful. The restaurant was not very crowded as it was a Tuesday night. It was perfect for us as we had a lot of catching up to do and a larger crowd would have found it difficult to do that had the place been noisy. I must say the food was enjoyable as well. Typical red sauce Italian, nothing exciting but does the job.Salad came first with an interesting viniagrete. I had Three Musketeers, veal, eggplant and chicken parm with pasta. Nice combination. Hubby had Tour of Italy which was lasagna, sausage and a meatball. Both were good eating. If I find myself in Margate again I would return because I know I will get a decent meal at a reasonable price. read more

I have had been here 3 previous times for lunch and had wonderful experiences and food. Today's lunch was a repeat, great experience. The salads served with entrees and 1/2 combo specials are very good and a good start to your meals. On this visit I chose the 1/2 salad and half sandwich combo. The sandwiches offered were all very tempting but I chose the Italian combo, a mixture of Italian cold cuts and provolone cheese. I asked for some Balsamic glaze to go on my crusty sandwich bread and it made it even more tasty. With the salad setting the stage and the Italian combo as the topper, I was full and happy. Service and attention to anything you need or ask for is prompt and friendly. This gem is tucked into the Winn Dixie strip on Sample road with easy access and plenty of parking. read more

Business changed ownership (Guidos) before or during Covid and still appears to have same recipes and menu. Teens wanted pizza and it's very local so it was the choice for Saturday night. Ordered XL pie and Steak pizza roll. They said 30 minutes for to-go pickup. We arrived and at 35 minutes it was just hitting the oven. Place is busy and lots of older clients and plenty of takeout. Bill was just about 40 bucks for two items. Pizza was a little doughy on bottom and likely needed an extra couple oven minutes. Didn't have a lot of sauce and sauce was a little acidic. The steak roll is like a nice sized Stromboli with cheese, protein, and onions. Comes with side of dipping sauce and was also a bit acidic and sweet, guessing it was same as pizza sauce. That roll was very good and gone, bottom gets a tad oily due to cheese or some brushing. Employees are fine. Nothing stellar and nothing bad either. She did say they were busy when we arrived. I would have loved to have found 2-3 garlic rolls for delay and would be a great enticement to return. Slightly better than average but not the worlds greatest pie. They are staying afloat however as Sals and Rosario's have left the area. read more
