What makes a good restaurant or just some place, consistency. This place isn't either. Friendly staff but their pizza some weeks are ok and then you get one that is horrible. Is it training, is it employees don't care or ownership. The pizza I had this evening was one of the worst I have ever had. The sauce was burnt, extra cheese was nowhere to be found. Inedible food, incorrect ingredients, and zero management empathy.I ordered a $42 takeout meal including a pasta fagioli soup and a pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, and fresh green peppers. Instead of fresh sweet peppers, the kitchen used cheap, jarred pickled peppers that ruined the pizza. The soup was just plain tomato soup. My colleagues and I couldn't eat it.As a nurse on a 48-hour straight hospital shift, I called management as soon as I was physically able to. The manager was incredibly rude, sharply questioning why I didn't call the same night. I even offered to bring back the remaining half-pizza and soup to prove the poor quality. She entirely dismissed my offer and refused to give more than a $10 refund on an incorrect $42 order that went straight into the trash. Terrible food quality and even worse management attitude. Were driving around Coral Springs aimlessly in search of a pizza joint that sells slices. We finally noticed the Pizza Carousel in the Pine Ridge Square with simple parking. DECOR: Traditional Italian STAFF: Kia was friendly and super chatty FOOD: Oversized slices of cheese pizza with a nice chared bubbled crispy crust. PRICE: $3.50 TASTE: Perfectly cooked, sweet tangy sauce, but needed more garlic. Pizza Carousel never disappoints! The pizza came out hot, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. The crust had the perfect crisp with just the right amount of chew. I came in with my daughter for whom I ordered the baked ziti. The options for baked ziti on their website's menu is listed as: -cheese -meat sauce -chicken -extra cheese So, I ordered the kid's baked ziti for my daughter- I did not say meat sauce, so it should have come out with just cheese. Unfortunately, meat sauce was ground throughout the sauce finely and my daughter upon finishing finally bit into a bigger chunk and realized there was meat, which obviously disgusted her. When I spoke with a female manager I asked for it to be taken off the check, she said that I should ask next time if I have any dietary preferences to which I responded, this is the FIRST ever place I've ordered baked ziti and it wasn't a vegetarian item & that should be disclosed upon ordering that there may be meat mixed throughout when ordering what is believed to come out as vegetarian. She rudely said "well not here," and started explaining she's been doing this for many years. The rudeness shown by the manager and the server (Maddy) was honestly shocking, as I was not rude about it, I just gave my suggestion that it should have been disclosed. I've worked in restaurants and customer service and their rudeness to me in front of my 9 year old daughter was upsetting to say the least. Average pizza at best. I Haven't ordered in quite a long time and I see the quality has gone way downhill. To be honest, I think I would've rather had a frozen tombstone pizza. After paying for the service fee and the delivery fee and the tip I could've bought 5 tombstone pizzas. Worst part about the pizza was the dough. Extremely chewy..... so bad that It began to hurt my jaw. Obsessed with Pizza Carousel! I have been here twice now and can't wait to come back. First time I got a carry out order and second I sat there for lunch and everything about it is amazing. Their salad is incredible and it comes with all of the entrees. The amount of food you get is amazing and the food is just delicious. Was next door at the UPS store cogitating on dinner plans when the sign for Pizza Carousel drew me in with their 15% offer for UPS customers. Our order was takeout - the Wednesday family size spaghetti and meatballs special with a side of 12 garlic rolls for $13.99. We added two slices of spinach and broccoli pizza for good measure because we weren't sure the family meal would feed five mouths. Staff was very friendly, and it seems like a mom and pop business. The dining area is small but cozy looking - probably a great place for a casual date night. Food was prepared quickly. The spaghetti meal comes with four hefty meatballs and wound up feeding four, with some leftover spaghetti. The sauce was a little lackluster, but was easily flavored up with powdered garlic and crushed red pepper; the meatballs were good. I tasted a sliver of the pizza and while it wasn't the best I've ever had, it was good (they even flavored the spinach). With the proximity to home, I will definitely return. read more

Every food in this restaurant tasted like garbage. We also waited close to two hours for the order which was just two large pizzas and garlic bread. One of the pizzas we ordered was the supreme pizza. The supreme pizza had toppings that fell off too easily because the toppings were not cooked, it looked like they just put the toppings on after the pizza was done cooking. The cheese on the pizzas fell off too easily too. Last but not least, all of the pizzas we ordered tasted and smelled bad, really bad. The garlic bread was also really bad. How does a restaurant mess up garlic bread? You know a restaurant is really bad when they mess up on the garlic bread. We paid close to $100 for this garbage. Should've just went to the dumpster instead if I wanted garbage for free in less than two hours. I've had better pizzas that were frozen and from cheap Asian buffets. Even the people living in trailers can make better pizza and garlic bread than this garbage. I bet Elie Wiesel ate better food when he was captured. Ordered a sandwich. It was late in the evening about 8 o'clock. It was a simple sandwich, hot sandwich, but it was dry and terrible.

I went to get an eye exam in the same plaza. As i walk in I see a sign that says 35 years under a pizza place. Now I'm a guy from northern jersey who has a true and real appreciation for good Italian. I grew up trying new pizza spots throughout NJ, Manhattan, Brooklyn, queens, and even in new haven when visiting family in conn. Easily have over 150 Italian spots under my belt. So 35 years in the Italian food business, I'm expecting the fire. I can confidently say that (at least for lunch) this spot was exactly mediocre. Pizza: dough was delicious, the crust was thin and crispy and the sauce tasty. But imo there wasn't enough cheese and it wasn't done enough. Chicken parm: just an avg parm. Sauce was delicious. We stopped in two weeks ago, for the first time, and SO happy we did! Amy was our server, and she bent over backwards, telling us all about Pizza Carousel and welcoming us in the sweetest possible way. We love her!!! About the pizza... we were blown away. The crust is so fresh, crispy and light. The sauce is the best pizza sauce we've had... so fresh and perfectly seasoned. I almost forgot their complimentary garlic rolls....soooo goooood and so much better than other pizza places. I wish I took pictures. The pasta fagiole was, like everything else, so FRESH and homemade tasting. Lastly, the salads are enormous and, again, incredibly FRESH!! Honestly, the quality and kindness at Pizza Carousel is head and shoulders above others in the area. They are lucky to have a sweetheart like Amy... she's a keeper!! 3.5 stars. I have been meaning to try this restaurant for awhile now. The service is great -- the young servers are friendly and attentive. There is plenty of parking available. The food is just mediocre. The Pasta Fagioli soup was great, although it was more of a tomato soup with pasta and vegetables. The garlic bread was yummy. The pizza had a good crunch to it, but the sauce was too sweet -- the same goes for the sauce on the pasta. The Chicken Marsala tasted fine, but it was swimming in oil. I've lived near pizza carousel for 3 years but never went before. A trip to Marshall's changed that. While we were in the area we figured we'd stop in for dinner and I'm so glad we did! The staff are all insanely friendly and they all work together to make sure you have a great experience. I thought the pizza would be your basic pizza, but the crust and veggies were so fresh! I can see why they've been in business for over 35 years! The pasta with garlic sauce and garlic rolls were the highlight for me. Definitely a must-have if you come. Since moving from the NYC metro area, I have been searching for a good pizza spot. I gave Pizza Carousel a chance and this is what I found: 1. The place is not very clean. Windows, tables & floors could be much cleaner. Tables are broken and jerry-rigged to stay standing. 2. The servers are really nice and seem very willing to make you happy. 3. I ordered a large pizza to go w/ 1/2 mushrooms ($16.99) but the mushrooms were the canned variety and were not very good. The crust was airy and crunchy. The sauce was nondescript. The cheese was regular. overall I give this pizza a 4 of 10 4. Also, I ordered an Eggplant Marinara appetizer ($10.99). It was mostly soggy breadcrumbs with razor-thin almost undetectable and bland soggy eggplant. Couldn't taste the eggplant. I give this a 1 of 10. 5: I paid $30 + for these two inferior food items. Needless to say, I should have cooked myself which was our original plan for the evening. It hurts me to just throw money away like that. We literally threw it all away in the trash. I just want to say, We really wanted this food to be good because the staff seemed nice and we are searching for a quality go-to pizza restaurant but they really need to work on the basics. We went to Pizza Carousel for dinner last night. I had a hot Italian sub and my Jeff had a meatball/sausage parm sub. The subs were enormous and had a large amount of meat, cheese and other toppings on them. The garlic rolls were great. The manager "Gabby", came over to greet us upon arrival and he offered us both a glass of wine later on with our meal. The server was very helpful and friendly. To be honest, it's been awhile since I've eaten here. No specific reason why. But it was all around such a nice experience, we'll definitely be back very soon. This restaurant has been around, in the same location, for 35 years and there's a reason why! Among the many places to eat in Coral Springs/Parkland....Try it!!! Pizza Carousel has been here a very long time. I've been coming here at least 20 years. I love everything on the menu except the pizza. The tuna on a pita is OUTRAGEOUS. If you have nothing else here, get the tuna on a pita. 5 YUMMIES!!!! The subs, pasta dishes, appetizers and everything else is excellent. I've tried everything and I have never been disappointed. The service is great and I feel like I'm going to my friends house. That's how nice they treat you. About the pizza. I have to tell you, the pizza is not bad, it's just okay. I think of myself as a pizza connoisseur and I am very, very, very picky. Thus, I wouldn't come here for pizza. My issues are the pizza is to doughy (not undercooked, just to much bread), the sauce is ehh and the cheese is good. I prefer a thin crust and a slightly sweet sauce. This was our first visit and we were blown away by how wonderful the food AND the entire staff was. Going in today, there was a good amount of seating inside. We ordered 1 medium greek salad and a large pizza half cheese and other half meatball & mushroom well done and thin. Shifting right into this review, the meal was very tasty! I found the salad possessed fresh chopped veggies, and the creamy italian dressing complemented the salad very well! The pizza was crispy as requested, saucy underneath, and had beautiful bubbly cheese present on top! Moreover, the server tonight was friendly and attentive! Never come to this place I have been here since 3pm it is not 3:47pm. I ordered a simple lunch baked ziti and a cannoli. The cannoli was 10$ for 1 cannoli and I said take it off the bill. The first round of food I got was ravioli. I did not order ravioli and the waitress has the audacity to say "oh you didn't like it?" And I said "ma'am this is not what I ordered". Takes the plate back. 20 minutes later sends out plain pasta with red sauce. Again not what I ordered. The waitress had the audacity to say "oh the person that I told to make the ziti refused to make it and it's been hectic back in the kitchen" there are 3 people here including me. I told her just give me 2 slices of pizza and I'll be on my way. Such terrible service. This is my first and last time at this establishment. read more

Delish!!!! I got Bob's special meatballs. It's an appetizer of meatballs, cheese, onions and garlic. It's two HUGE meatballs and more than enough for a meal. The pizza was crispy and wonderful. The calzone was HHHUUUGGGEEEE!!! The sauce, the heart of any Italian restaurant was delicious as well. We didn't get it, but they have whole wheat pizza crust and a low carb menu.
