When the chef and owner, David, realized it was our first time, he came over to welcome us and spoke about his passion for food and his Sicilian heritage. Throughout the evening, both he and his wife moved around the dining room, checking on tables and making people feel genuinely cared for. And then the magic began. We started with the caponata and fritto misto, both fantastic. The vegetables, shrimp, and calamari in the fritto misto were lightly fried and perfectly crisp. For my main course, I had the sole, which was beautifully prepared. My mother's chicken Milanese was absolutely delicious, and the tomato sauce on my father's pasta was some of the best I have ever tasted. Every dish felt thoughtful, refined, and beautifully executed. We chatted with Chef David again on our way out, which felt like the perfect ending to the evening. Savia is more than a restaurant.
