I can't tell you how many times we have driven by this place over the years and never stopped in. We were on the hunt for a reasonable Italian restaurant located nearby., and once again, Yelp was of great help. (Rhyme somewhat intentional). Brusco's is located in a small strip plaza on Federal Highway. There's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is unassuming from the outside. When we entered, our waitress, Sue, greeted us kindly and let us choose our table. Brusco's has a sizable menu with an excellent price point. I believe most of the entrées come with your choice of salad or soup. Be sure to check out the specials menu hanging by the door as there were lots of excellent offerings. In fact, I went with one of the specials, Lemon ricotta pappardelle pasta. The pasta is made in house, and you can tell it is fresh upon the first bite. The sauce was light, and the dish was presented beautifully. My husband went with the eggplant Parmesan, and he ordered a reasonably-priced side of sausage. (A diner sitting next to us, told us that the owner and chef makes his own sausages on site..) His eggplant came with a choice of pasta. He was very pleased with his dish. The portions were quite generous, and we were able to take leftovers home for lunch the next day. Sue was very attentive and made our meal quite enjoyable. We will be happily adding Brusco's to our restaurant rotation when in the mood for Italian food. read more

Every time we visit, we make it a point to try something new, and each dish is just as incredible as the last. This was the best Italian food my husband and I have had since traveling to Italy. We came upon this restaurant trying to find something close by for dinner. It was amazing. Andrei was so welcoming and attentive. We tried the fresh snapper special appetizer. Both our meals came with options for soup or salad. I got the pasta fagoli and he got a tortellini chicken. Both delicious. He got the gnocchi dish with chicken alfredo sauce and I got the a chicken sciliana (layered chicken and eggplant parmigiana). Both our meals were absolutely delicious and big. A few months ago I met a girlfriend here for an early dinner and we had an excellent meal. I highly recommend making a reservation, because without it we would have been turned away. Brusco is a small neighborhood place with quite a following. We saw a few of their "regulars" walk in without a reservation and they couldn't get a table. Our server had a lot going on, but she was friendly and efficient, and we received good service. The garlic bread is amazing. I try not to eat a lot of bread, however ordering this is a must. I believe the dinners come with a roll of some sort, which we didn't get, probably because we ordered the garlic bread, which was totally worth it, as it was the best garlic bread I have ever had. For my entrée I had the Snapper Francaise. The Snapper was cooked perfectly, and came with a side of pasta. Brusco is the perfect local Italian restaurant. They have excellent food, good service and fair prices. I 100% recommend Brusco. read more

After reading Stephen S's review of this restaurant, I felt it would be the perfect place to meet a girlfriend for dinner. It's located in Deerfield Beach on the east side of Federal Highway. I knew it was a "small" restaurant from his review but had no idea that it was as small as it was. I'm so glad we made reservations, as even on a Wednesday evening they were packed. Not only was every table taken, but they turned away a number of folks who stopped by and who called that wanted to dine in as they were totally booked for the evening. There was only one gal working out front. She took the orders, served, and took our payment, too. Considering how busy she was, she had it all together waiting on everyone. She even took time to answer our questions and special requests. And considering the packed restaurant, our food was surprisingly delivered in a timely manner. We started with an order of garlic bread. It was a nice loaf done crispy around the edges with buttery garlic inside. Each dinner came with a small salad. Both of us are not fans of field greens/mixed greens. She was nice enough to give us each a minimum of these in our salads which came with a house vinaigrette. For our main meals, my friend had their snapper francaise, market priced and not too expensive, with linguine. I had their chicken francaise with angel hair pasta. The eggy batter was light and airy and the sauce was nice and lemony. I'd order this again, definitely. I'm a hearty eater but the portion was so huge (3 medallions of chicken), that I wound up taking half of my dinner home. We were both too full to consider dessert. As tables are closely spaced, we got to see some other meals being served. The meatballs were huge and looked quite good, as did one of the pizzas that a large table had as their "appetizer" before their entrees. I'm already planning on returning. read more

Food was excellent, started with the Sicilian style Peperoni Pizza to try a few slices and take the rest home, Wow! Very good. The Seasoning on the crust was perfect, Great flavor! Large slices, Light eating. Not like the heavy doughy kinds other places make. Beer & Wine Only, Free parking in front. There is an EV charge Station nearby at the Target if you need a charge while eating. It's a close walk. I ordered the Veal Siciliana which was excellent, Veal, with Eggplant and a side of Pasta, Comes with salad and bread. Veal was seasoned and prepared perfect for me. Even the Pasta was excellent. Great sauce flavor. Grandson had the Lobster Ravioli, When I looked up to ask him how it was, he was done and said it was Excellent. I told him to eat more pizza and have another beer. This is a 2 day review, I wish we had taken photos but it was so good, we didn't stop to think about it. Day one: we got the Spicy Calamari appetizer, Carbonara, Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parm, Cannoli, Tiramisu, and Lemon Sorbet. The Calamari was crispy and just the right amount of spice and the marinara sauce that came with it was definitely homemade and delicious. They include garlic knots with your meal, we ended up dipping it into the calamari sauce it was so good. The Carbonara was phenomenal, creamy and rich the pancetta was flavorful and fantastic. The Scampi was just as good, the shrimp were large and plentiful. The chicken parm was accompanied by that delicious sauce and large piece of chicken, it was great as well. None of us could finish our meals, the portions are large and it really is a great value. The cannoli was freshly filled and the cream was awesome, not too dense and was creamy and flavorful. The Tiramisu and Lemon Sorbet was made by the owners wife, and she did an amazing job! The Tiramisu is a must try, soft, creamy, just amazing. The lemon sorbet was tart and refreshing, just amazing. Their service, 10/10. Ms. Sue was super friendly and honest when asked about the menu. Our drinks were never empty and she was just awesome. She provided fresh plates so that we could sample each others dishes and was very thoughtful. My sister's boyfriend has parents in Italy, so he grew up on fresh Italian food and he was very impressed by this restaurant, reminded him of his mother's cooking. Day 2: I took my grandparents whose parents were from Italy, they call sauce, gravy, and are very hard to impress with Italian food. We got the gnocchi, eggplant parm, and Lasagna. They had a special and we got mini cannolis as well. The gnocchi were traditional potato gnocchi, soft and delicious. You can choose from a few sauces and he chose the bolognese, it was filled with meat, it was very hearty and plentiful. I have never had gnocchi like that before, he said that it reminded him of his mother's gnocchi, he said it was "sensational", I've never heard him praise food like that. The Eggplant parm was just as well received, you can also choose which pasta you want with the dish, this one had angel hair pasta, there was so much and it was covered in that delicious marinara sauce. My grandmother loved it. The lasagna was a large portion, well seasoned and full of meat, the only word that can describe it, is delicious. We were also provided with garlic knots like the previous night, 2 per person and they are decent sized. Service: Ms. Sue was fantastic and even remembered mine and everyone in my parties name from the day before. Drinks were kept full and she handled my sometimes difficult grandparents with ease. When we left, she even gave us hugs and wish me a safe flight back to SC. This is restaurant while unassuming, is a must try, it is now a family tradition for us that when we come to visit, we must eat there. My wife and I were looking for a local restaurant open on New Years Day. She was craving Itaiian, and I remembered a coupon I got when I visited a WinnDixie out of curiosity. Brusco's was open! We got there about 7:30 pm it was empty, never a good sign. We were greeted enthusiastically. I ordered veal Francaise, she ordered baked salmon. They came with soup or salad. Her cream of mushroom was the best we'd ever tasted. Rich and flavorful. The meals were delicious, like the best authentic Italian. The owner/chef told us his story as we devoured. The orognal owner was Brusco, on busy Federal Highway 26 years. It is tiny, only 12 tables. His family came from Italy 10 years ago and they all work at the restaurant. We had a tartufo gelato for desert. The current special is shrimo and blue crab in marinara with paggeltelle pasta. Give it a try. It's quiet and the food is delicious. read more

What a treat... I've been meaning to stop by there for quite some time so I'm very glad that I finally did. Everything is cooked fresh to order so be prepared to wait a little bit longer perhaps but everything that came out was absolutely delicious. Service by Sue was great. The chef came out to make sure everything was wonderful. We had a cheese pizza that was really really good (and still good the next day), ravioli that was exceptional, and chicken parm that I highly recommend. My wine was tasty and reasonably priced. I was driving north from Fort Lauderdale and needed food for visiting friends and Brusco's came up with favorable pizza reviews and... so it was. I ordered two pies a regular cheese and a Sicilian and both defined average or just below. The Sicilian was too doughy and would have benefitted from betting prep and a crispier base. The regular pie didn't have enough olive oil or sauce and was just dull. I would say it's more of a two and a half star but In the absence of fractions I upped it to three. read more

I am torn posting this because it feels like my hidden gem but the world needs to know how amazing Bruscos is! I live in The Cove area and this is hands down the best Italian in the area. The portions are perfect sized. The garlic bread is TO DIE FOR. The tiramisu is soooo tasty. The eggplant parm with angel hair is my go to and the blanco chicken pasta is insane. One time they went out of town for a month and I thought they closed down and was extremely depressed because I knew I wouldn't find anything that can compare. Brusco's is a hidden gem that we were so excited to find, and it did not disappoint. My family is staying in Lighthouse Point and we found it randomly while looking to eat outside. They have a few outdoor tables which was perfect. The menu is really comprehensive and all the entrees come with a soup or salad and a side of pasta (or you can sub broccoli for pasta for $3!) We got Caesar salad, house salad, pizza, eggplant rollatini, and meatballs. Everything was so flavorful and really reasonably priced. They listened to our directions like asking for dressing on the side and everything tasted great. Our server, Sue, was the sweetest most delightful woman. She was so helpful and friendly. Food was very tasty ! Portions are not very big but tasty. Tiramisu dessert was 8.00 and was a couple bites . Baked ziti was very good as was the broccoli rabe and sausage. Prices a little steep ! They were out of lasagna and the dessert I wanted so they replaced with the tiramisu and baked ziti and called me to have me pay the extra difference , good business practice would be to just replace the item free of extra charge. I've been here in the past, under the old ownership, and loved it here. Came here hoping for the same. Nope, nope and nope. I always believe it's a bad sign there is no one else eating. I think I know why. Friend and I came here to eat and found out they changed owners a year or so ago. That's a red flag to us. The ladies working the tables were very nice. So we took a chance. We ordered the stuffed meatballs for an app. The cheese was either unseasoned or very little. The entrees were chicken parm and a chicken franchise. The parm dish seemed microwaved. Chewy on one side and ok on the other side. Sauce looked boring and was. Pasta just good. The franchise was better but all around just ok. The garlic knots that came with meal had zero garlic. We didn't hate it but left a bad enough taste to not want come back. I read the reviews and see 5 stars. I don't get it. But I'm done here. read more
