Service: we dined in at 4:00pm opening, so they had no other pressures, but regardless the service was warm, friendly, and personable... really felt at home. I ordered a pizza with vegetables for pickup. Everything went well except for the "taste" of the pizza. There was absolutely no flavor. Not even the mozzarella cheese. My wife loves Chicken alla Parmigiana, Chicken, Napoli sauce, and mozzarella cheese., Served with pasta ( spaghetti, ziti or linguini), and sauce (Napoli, pesto, or Alfredo). Baffi's meets all of the criteria for an outstanding Italian restaurant. The menu is large, with all of the favorite Southern Italian specialties. Welcome is enthusiastic from host owner Jacqueline. Her husband Camillo is the chef and co-owner. So basically, diners join Jacqueline and Camillo for meals in their "home" in a small storefront restaurant in a strip mall just South of 18th Street in Boca Raton on State Road 7, Route 441. At our recent visit, my wife and I shared a half bottle of excellent Portuguese red wine that Jacqueline recommended. We split as a starter a generous order of excellent meatballs in red sauce. My wife selected as her main a superb order of lobster ravioli with shrimp and calamari. I loved my lasagna, which was perfectly layered pasta with meat sauce and cheese. For me, lasagna is the ultimate test of a local Italian restaurant. Usually lasagna is cooked in such a way that the distinctive pasta and meat sauce layers become a mishmash. I am almost always disappointed in the lasagna I order in local Italian restaurants. However, Camillo's lasagna was perfect. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the meat sauce and cheese all worked together superbly. I cannot remember ever enjoying an order of lasagna more than at Baffi's. Service is perfectly attentive and the check is modest for a superb Italian meal. We look forward to coming back often. read more

The staff is friendly and efficient, really did a great job. We ordered the Contadina pizza and Linguini Carbonaro for dinner. The pizza was served steaming hot with thin crispy crust, cheese, sliced tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, onions. Its one of the best pizza's I've had. The linguini carbonaro was also served hot and was creamy with bits of bacon and linguini. It was excellent! Both were delicious! Their desserts are homade. We ordered the Pavlova as a Mother's Day treat. Not only a beautiful dessert but amazingly delicious! A small was enough for two of us. We tried this new restaurant for the fresh homemade pastas and pizzas. We were surprised by how cool this little hidden gem was. Clean and crisp decor, owners were very friendly and the food was delicious. We ordered a fettuccine Vesuvio and homemade lasagne dish to share. We had been there once before and thought the place was cute , so we went back. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and was told they were out so I asked for the veal parmigiana, but requested they watch the salt this time bc it was pretty salty when I tried it before. But then the server said his dad, the chef, decided he could make it for us bc he needed to make it for other guests! I said thank you but in hindsight, why didn't they accept my order in the first place????? My boyfriend requested angel hair instead of other pasta and when he got the check he saw he was charged an extra $3 something for it!!!! The server hadn't even advised us but when we inquired he said we had been charged that the last time (a few months prior) we should've known!!!! This time around there was something off with the taste of the cheese on all pizzas. Kids didn't want to eat they pizza where usually we have challenge holding them back. I know that this may not be the most helpful to indicate that cheese was lacking in taste, but we feel it's important to say it. The pizza is okay but the cheese just doesn't taste good as it could. I had guests over and they all remarked about the pizza in a negative way. This is what an honest, authentic, family Italian restaurant feels like. Definitely the best, real Italian food in West Boca. The food is great, with fresh/top-shelf ingredients and excellent cooking. My favorites are penne alla vodka and fettuccini Sophie Loren, and their pizza and subs are tasty too. And try their marble cake; it's deceivingly delicious! If you expect American-style Italian food (large portion, lots of topping, but bland tasting, like what you get from Olive Garden or Pizza Hut), this is not the place. But if you appreciate real homemade Italian food ( like what you get from Italy or authentic restaurants in new York), Baffi's is definitely the place to go. Very authentic, home cooked Italian. Nice decor and very clean. This a very nice family owned and run authentic Italian bistro with an Italian behind the wheel, not just another pizza joint. The Napolitano style pizza was excellent and so was my dinner. I am an aficionado of a good white linguini with seafood and they did not disappoint. most important thing was they didn't need to drown it and garlic for flavor... it was delicate and tasty.
