Baffi's Restaurant

I read a review in the Sun Sentinel touting the restaurant being very good and reasonable. A small Italian restaurant in a strip shopping center. They have six or seven tables. Basically a pizza place with a fairly large menu, Service is slow since they have only 1 sever. My wife loves Chicken alla Parmigiana, Chicken, Napoli sauce, and mozzarella cheese., Served with pasta ( spaghetti, ziti or linguini), and sauce (Napoli, pesto, or Alfredo). Small portion that she thought was average. I chose the Linguini Frutti di Mare, shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams, and homemade Baffi's Napoli sauce. It was ok, nothing special. You don't get a choice of soup or salad just plain rolls, not garlic.

We decided to try Baffis because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. A small little restaurant and family owned. The food and service was excellent. The staff is friendly and efficient, really did a great job. We ordered the Contadina pizza and Linguini Carbonaro for dinner. The pizza was served steaming hot with thin crispy crust, cheese, sliced tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, onions. Its one of the best pizza's I've had. The linguini carbonaro was also served hot and was creamy with bits of bacon and linguini. It was excellent! Both were delicious! Their desserts are homade. We ordered the Pavlova as a Mother's Day treat. Not only a beautiful dessert but amazingly delicious! A small was enough for two of us. We highly recommend Baffis as one of the best restaurants in the Coconut Creek/Boca area. We cant wait to return!

There are a couple tables inside to eat at, but they also do a lot of take out. And the chef/baker also supplies a few restaurants with their freshly made pasta. Everything here (except the meats and cheese) are made by Mirko, the owner. All the desserts, the breads, the pastas and the cooked dishes -- that you can buy frozen to take home and heat up. He has a daily lunch special with your choice of pasta and your choice of sauce. It's quite a bargain. We just shared a large sandwich -- made from one whole huge long ciabatta. We had salami and cheese on our sandwich -- but they have many types. Plus they have focaccia bread if you prefer. There are too many types of pastries to list. They all looked delicious. I also bought a chocolate croissant to take home for later. Mirko is from Rome. And he travels back to Italy often to check on his other businesses there and for supplies. So call first before coming by to make sure they are open. This bakery is worth a detour whether you're craving something a bit sweet with a coffee or looking to take home an Italian dinner.

We tried it for the first time. Happy to share it was very good…read more We had a chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and it was a very large portion. The cutlets were hand made with yummy crispy edges. The sauce was more of a tomato almost felt like a cross to an ala vodka. It was very good. Good garlic rolls too. We also had a steak and cheese sub. The steak was good it probably could have used a little more on it but i would still order again. I'm happy to finally have a good Italian just a moment away from home. We will try the pizza next. We carried it out. Place looks cute though we Will probably go there to eat next time.

A little thin, like it forgot to bulk up. The bleu cheese dressing? Same story--lacked its usual thickness and pop of flavor, like it needed a pep talk. But then came the baked ziti with eggplant... cheesy, saucy, bubbling with flavor. Honestly, if comfort food could text, it would've sent me a heart emoji right then and there. And the garlic rolls. My goodness. Soft, fluffy, absolutely smothered in garlic. These weren't side items--they were the main event. Forget background singers, they were the star... the Taylor Swift of garlic rolls. I swear, I could smell them through the takeout bag in the car, and yes, I considered pulling over to "test" one. No regrets. Pepperoni Grill does what a neighborhood Italian joint should do: keeps it consistent, feeds you well, and throws in garlic rolls that could probably start a fan club.

Nothing that would stop us from enjoying ourselves. The 50% off wine bottles was a big win -- we had a bottle of Sancerre that was excellent and made the night feel like a great value. My girlfriend ordered the chopped salad; it was fresh and good, though a little on the bland side flavor-wise. The margherita pizza is always a 10/10 -- consistent, simple, and done right. I had the chicken francese with sautéed spinach instead of pasta. It was good, but I wish the sauce had been reduced a bit more for deeper flavor and a touch more salt. Overall, nice atmosphere, good wine deals (Wine Wednesday + happy hour), and a place we'd definitely come back to. Solid spot in West Boca.
