Not the best first impression. Granted, it was a Saturday night, and I called an order in for a pizza at 7:30. I was told it would be ready in 25 minutes. I got there at 8:00 paid and they told me to wait outside and someone would bring it out. Well I waited, and waited, and waited. I watched people come after me get their food, and finally at 8:35 I got the pizza. I love good pizza and I'm a Dave Portnoy fan. He gave this a 7.8 which is pretty good by his standards. I'm pretty sure he got his pizza on time. Now for the food. I'm not sure if I was just so hungry at 8:00 and now that it was closer to 9 I was kind of disappointed. but I've heard so many rave reviews about the pizza here and yes, it was good, but not the best in Boca. After I put a slice in the air fryer it did crisp up the crust. Can't wait to try more food from here. The chicken cesar panini was delicious. The bread they use is like pizza bread. It's huge. Cesar dressing is very good and chicken looked fresh. The lobster ravioli was also a huge portion and tasty. Comes with a small salad which was good and garlic rolls but they were pretty rock hard. That was the only thing that wasn't good. Came to Pizza Time after seeing an Instagram post about their Chicken Caesar panini. I'm a sucker for a chicken caesar wrap, so I figured a panini would be equally as amazing. We came on a Saturday around 7:30. As soon as we opened the door, someone stepped out, with no greeting, and instead immediately took our names as there was a wait. Was a little bizarre that we weren't even able to step inside first, and weren't given any wait times. So we had to wait outside, near the entrance (because they simply call your name) in the very hot and muggy FL weather with no idea as to when our names would be called. Luckily, we only had to wait about 10 minutes. When stepping inside, while it's not incredibly tiny in there, it is very very cramped, the way they have everything set up doesn't allow for a lot of space. There was even a table that had to sit with a person rolling silverware. There are about 8 to 10 booths, and then just long tables in the middle of the restaurant. And while some of those tables are able to be separated, there's not a ton of space to separate them, so it seems like if you're not sitting in a booth you will inevitably be sitting at a table with other people. Because of the closeness of the people, and the smallness of the space, it did get pretty loud in there at one point, I felt myself having to raise my voice just to have a conversation. There was also confusion at first about which server had our table which created a bit of an awkward moment. Our server ended up being Jo who was really nice. While it wasn't the best first impression, I was crazy hungry and ready to eat. We ended up ordering a mini mashed potato pizza, a large cheese pizza, a grilled chicken caesar panini, and six garlic rolls. One thing I will note about the menu, is that the items are not very descriptive at all. There are specialty pizzas that take an hour to make, but it doesn't tell you why they take an hour to make. The mashed potato pizza did not tell you what was on the mashed potato pizza. They even have a Mexican pizza that doesn't tell you what's on it. After I ordered I realized I should probably ask my waitress if any meat came on the mashed potato pizza because I was with two vegetarians. Turns out there is bacon on top of the mashed potato pizza. That's not a mashed potato pizza, that's a loaded mashed potato pizza. And it's incredibly important, especially for vegetarians, to highlight that. Their lack of menu descriptions, had I not just assumed and asked, would have required rework from the kitchen to remake that pizza without bacon on it. Granted, if you're unsure what comes on something you can always ask, but our waitress didn't seem 100% sure at first after asking the question. If you just had clearer menus, waitresses wouldn't be forced to try to remember all the ingredients of the dozens of menu items. Onto the food: the cheese pizza was good. Your standard cheese pizza, nothing too crazy. The mashed potato pizza (no bacon) was definitely a first for me, and was exactly what I expected it to be. Crispy crust, fluffy mashed potatoes, and a super cheesy, broiled top. It was even better reheated the next day, I added a picture to show the cheese pull even after reheating when separating the pieces. The garlic rolls were okay, maybe a little over done. The flavor was great, but definitely a little hard. The chicken caesar panini, however, was absolutely delicious. Just enough Caesar dressing, the chicken was grilled to perfection, the panini bread was seasoned beautifully and had a wonderful crisp to it. I was incredibly delighted that this item lived up to the hype. All in all, with our food, and three fountain drinks, our total came to $77.04 which I think its decently priced. It's important to note that they do charge you $3.09 for using a card, which was not made known to us until our bill came, so our total was actually $80.35. While the food was really good, it just felt like an overwhelming experience. In short, it was noisy, cramped, the table next to us was having issues with their food which was causing a bunch of back and forth, I don't like the hidden fees after already having eaten there, and the lack of menu descriptions. After paying over $95 (which includes a 20% tip) I don't think I'd be back. I'd get the panini again, but based on my experience, I'd have to get it to-go, and with living 25 minutes away, it probably wouldn't hold up the same. read more

It's based on the fact that their online menu and actual cost are about 20% off, which is significant considering the food is not cheap to begin with ($30+ pizzas). Here were the differences of my particular order: Special pizza (menu $30; actual cost $34) Lasagna (menu $17; actual cost $19.50) Cheesecake (menu $5.50; actual cost $8) Then they added a $2.72 charge for using a credit card so there was a $12.72 total diff between what was on their menu vs what we paid for our takeout order. I believe that a $12.72 discrepancy is a significant amount. The food is very good there but they do need to update their online menu because I like to know what I'll actually be charged when ordering. read more

Monday night pizza night! Heard great things about the pizza so we had to try it for ourselves. Pizza time has been in business for over 20 years according to our waitress. To keep things short and sweet this place hit on two of the three pillars of restaurant dining. Food: 4/5 Thankfully the pizza at pizza time was the best part. We got a half sausage, half cheese XL pie. The bottom was crispy and the cheesy was gooey without being oily. The sausage was high quality and delicious. It was a great pizza and could easily satisfy the urge for a solid NY style slice. The mozzarella sticks had a great cheese pull and we sub'd the traditional marinara sauce for vodka sauce and it was also great. The only bad part of the meal was the dessert. It was a scoop of the Neapolitan and a scoop of the pistachio ice cream. Both seemed like they had been in the freezer for far too long and rock hard and not fresh. Teammates: 5/5 Our waitress and the other team members we spoke with were all super nice and helpful. Our server must've refilled my drink 3-4 times without even asking. I would go back for them alone! Ambiance and decor: 3/5 Imagine you're in a pizzeria with booths that feel like they are on a patio inside of dining room. Then imagine it's the 1990's, add some dusty corners and old plates that have silver scratches throughout. Just moved down to Florida and randomly picked this place as it's near my apartment. Ordered the veal pizziola with whole wheat pasta. Fast-forward a bit spicy, and it came out perfect! The view was tender, the pasta was cooked al dente, and the sauce was delicious! They included a small side salad with dressing, which was fine and some garlic nuts, which were only OK. THE WORST EXPERIENCE AT PIZZA TIME!! I ordered four stuffed peppers! At $15 per pepper, you would expect them to be delicious!! The way this idiot packaged the peppers, he individually put them in plastic containers so all the mozzarella cheese was stuck on the top of each plastic container, but after tasting the peppers, there was no beef, just rice and loaded with garlic! They were the worst peppers I've ever had! I called and asked for a refund, and the arrogant owner would not refund me, which would be the smart thing to do! My family came here tonight for an early birthday celebration for me. It was so busy, but our server, Juliana, was attentive, patient, and incredibly personable. I've wanted to come here for some time and so happy I did. We started with an order of bruchetta and garlic rolls. The garlic rolls were good, and everyone said the brushetta was too. I am not a big fan, so didn't try it. We ordered a pizza for the table... My son is vegetarian and picky, and my grandson also is picky, so they enjoyed that. It looked wonderful, and I fully intend to go back to try it. My son said it was better than Pasquales (our fave pizzeria). I had a chicken parm panini and at half of a half. It was so good. That was hours ago and I'm still stuffed. My son had a chicken broccoli Rabe panini and he said it was superb. My sister had a calzone which was bigger than her head. They brought out a giant slice of cheesecake which had a Graham cracker crust and cream cheese frosting to share. Man, what a great dinner and a great time. This place is so good but the prices are definitely elevated compared to any other pizza spot. The sauce is their secret and its the best! We love their eggplant parmigiana and you get your choice of pasta with a side salad. We always ask for extra sauce as the leftovers the next day never has enough. The dinner comes with garlic rolls, which we always forget to say no garlic because it's too much for us. The pizza is great too. We usually call for pickup and typically it is a longer than expected wait but this last time they were early. They even called us back to tell us it was ready. Today I called and ordered at 11:35 am, and was told pizza would arrive in an hour. I called at 12:50 (15 minutes after the pizza was to arrive) and was told it would be another 20 minutes. 45 more minutes passed and I called again to check status. The incompetent staff member told me "it's only been an hour" but it had been 2 full hours. 11:35 to 1:35 is 2 hours for those that can add. It is now 2:20, and my over-priced pizza, ordered at 11:35, was never delivered. Would not recommend, pizza is average anyway. read more
