Pizza time is known mostly by NYers who come down here in season & crowd the interior of this small place: they seem to like it but it is overpriced & in season impossible! The food is ok not great. I had the baked clams which seem to be cut up & mixed in with the stuffing. Tasted good but i prefer the whole clam with the breaded mixture on top & baked. They were very expensive for six clams although they were a good size. I asked for a slice of pizza also so the whole bill was over $31? A bit overpriced it was pretty good but not my favorite Italian takeaway. My favorite has closed temporarily & I'm waiting for them to open back up. Impatiently! If you are in the mood for certain things like baked clams or stuffed artichoke or pizza, it may satisfy but pricey & alright not great! They are trying to be friendlier especially in the summer when the locals are their clientele. read more

Did a deliver order tonight after Flying in late afternoon. Holy crap how I miss this place and am so Happy to taste it again! PERFECT pizza Dough and it holds up in delivery. And the artichoke is simple amazing. Vodka rigatoni is the best in the nation and a hidden secret there. It traveled extremely well and had enough sauce to lop up alllll the goodness in a garlic Knot! This is a funny restaurant. They do alot of things really very good. But they do a couple of things that are not so good. Here's the very good that keeps us coming back: Service is a B+...Atmosphere is a B+...you have that Bronx vibe going on here. Food: The best chicken marsala and chicken francese you will get anywhere...these 2 dishes keep us coming back for more. And we definitely need and want more. I really love a veal marsala however the veal isn't up to my extremely high standards...it's not butter soft the way I like it...it's a little chewey and dry which tells me the quality is not for me. I'm a hardcore parmesan especially veal parmesan. They use way too much parmesan in both the pasta sauce and the veal dish so I'll never order either...a simple spaghetti and tomato sauce has a ton of parmesan in it...not for me.I love linguine and red sauce but I'll never get it here. Their broccoli rabbe and spinach with garlic and oil are also top notch just like the chicken francese and chicken marsala dishes. The pizza is excellent also its the first thing I tried on my first visit here. I'll give this restaurant a solid B+ even with the couple of things that we don't like...and the fried calamari is a huge portion...stay away from the fried mozzarella they dump too much parmesan on it I had to scrape it off and will never order it again. Since Pizza Time has been our favorite place for consistently delicious Italian meals for years, we decided they were the best choice to cater our grandson's 1st birthday party for 20 guests. This place is pretty good, but I don't really understand the hype behind this place. Everyone says this is the best pizza place in Boca, but I've definitely had better pizza at different restaurants. They have a really good lunch special so I do recommend going during lunchtime. The pizza isn't bad or anything. I just kind of had high expectations because of all the overwhelmingly positive recommendations to this place. The pizza just didn't hit the spot for me, my husband frequents this place more often and he says that it's a hit or miss on the pizza. Rudest employees, terrible customer service, and overpriced mediocre food. I ordered a pizza, pasta, and a half chicken breast on the side. They said 25 minutes and I arrived in 20. I paid and was told to wait outside. Almost 30 minutes pass and they bring my food out, but it's missing the side half chicken breast. They said they would make it for me, so I continued to wait. After waiting 10 minutes, they brought me the chicken. I got home 10 minutes later and the chicken was literally cold like it came from a fridge and about 6 different pieces of chicken. It looked like they scraped together whatever chicken was laying around. I called and asked to speak with a manager because I am a frequent customer for pizza and spend a lot of money there. The employee put me on hold and then I was hung up on. I called back and a different employee answered. I again asked to speak with the manager and the employee asked "what for?" and said I can speak with him and he would relay a message to the manager. I said I didn't want it relayed because I come there often and there is an issue with my food. He said "I'm sure there is. I'll have to put you on hold all night to speak with a manager" and I asked why it would be all night. He said because the managerS are really busy. I was just there, they were not really busy on this Tuesday night, and considering there is more than one manager one of them should be able to speak with me. I asked if that is the customer service they provide to their regular customers and he scoffed saying "you can hold" and put me on hold. At that point I'm so pissed I hung up. I will not be returning. They used to be really good, but their attitude towards customers is shit. There are better places with kinder employees where I would rather spend my money. read more

Since I'm a captain of a restaurant Club from our Valencia Sound Community, the chosen genre for us this time was pizza. I arranged to have us all get together to meet and enjoy dinner here at Pizza Time Ristorante at the recommendation of another influential Yelper. We were 11 people. I was told that reservations were not accepted. It was First come first serve, however, the manager, Guy, understood my predicament and within 15 minutes had us all seated comfortably close together in this very small venue. I was very worried at first but luckily it all worked out. I wanted so much to try this place and it didn't disappoint. Four of us sat in a booth as the others were placed at a table for 7 right next to us. This is a very busy restaurant- an indicator of great food. There was a nice variety of pizzas to choose from. We had the "special " pizza ". Everything was on this crispy crust. Just like NY pizza. We shared a bottle of red wine and ordered the chef salad to share. We also had very flavorful garlic knots. Others had various other pizzas- smaller sizes- one had a cauliflower crust with meatballs on it. My husband had the lasagna which was a huge portion but he ate it all miraculously. He definitely enjoyed it. Only beer and wine can be served here. We all enjoyed our dinners and were able to enjoy each other's company. Pizza Time has a few other locations offering the same recipes. This one was located in a East Boca location with a parking lot. It was easy to navigate. There is no outside dining but there are several chairs outside if you have to await an inside table. As far as pizzerias go, this is one I'd go out if my way to frequent if great pizza is what you are craving. read more

Craving pizza before I dig into Turkey for the next 3 month, I happened to have been in boca and I love to try new spots. This one I caught early I was there as soon as they opened. I waited 25 minutes to get my fix, these slices were huge I ate one hot and I wasn't too impressed the second slice I ate about 25 minutes later and tasted better IMO. Food is always decent, however do not place pickup orders here. I have ordered multiple times where order pickup times are off by nearly an hour. Yet again my pregnant wife and I sat outside for 45 minutes while 8-10 others picked up their food without issue. They clearly forgot our order. Until I asked and was told it would be out soon. Not a single apology or owning up to the fact that they had very evidently forgot to make our order. Mistakes are made, but it's how you handle them that makes the difference. Tonight will be my last visit to Pizza Time. The quality of the food has gone down but the main reason we won't return is the staff. In particular the niece and nephew of Guy the main host. The two of them are the absolute rudest hosts and the niece actually gloated in the way she treated patrons. In a time when prices are rising and quality and quantity are going down, I wish you luck Pizza time as your place wasn't full yet you had a waitlist because your host, the niece in the green dress and black sneakers was too stupid to figure out how to seat the room. We waited close to 40 minutes with empty tables as a single diner sat at a table for six waiting for a to go order. She could have been asked to move to any of the empty tables. My fiancé, an incredible Chef, just opened up a restaurant not too far from Pizza Time. He was treating his kitchen & management team to some pizzas before opening service. He told me this is one of the best pizzas he's ever had! By the time I got to the restaurant all the slices were gone! I ordered one for takeout tonight and was so impressed with how friendly everybody was here and how crowded the restaurant was. A 45 minute wait for my pizza which is a great testament to the popularity of this place. Every seat taken. The food looked wonderful coming out of the kitchen. I ran some errands and came back in 30 minutes and my pizza was just coming out of the oven. Oh my gosh! When I got back to our place, I ate four slices and probably could've eaten more but I do love cold pizza so into the refrigerator it went. Absolutely terrible! We have been coming here for over 15 years. It's always been great food, convenient location, a little pricey , but worth the convenience We have heard that there are new owners. Looks like the menu is the same, but the food is terrible. The glass of Chianti was stale and $10 for a small house glass. The pizza was dry and super thick. Went Saturday night around 830 and had to wait a bit... we did opt for a booth rather than sharing a table with another party. We shared a Caesar salad and a mini Sicilian pizza. The salad came out pretty quickly (which was good because I was starving) and it was very big more than enough to share. The pizza (although says mini) was huge! It was about 9 square pieces. The server was good and helpful. The only complaint I had was the ice machine being broken and my dad couldn't have his ice tea because it was warm. Went here on a Sunday late afternoon to try a slice and they had slices of cheese and pepperoni available. They also had some other prepared food in the refrigerated case. We had one of the cheese slices to go. The dough had a nice crisp on the crust but the underneath part did not have as much of the crisp. The dough almost tasted like a mix of pastry crust and bread. There was bit too much cheese and it could have used a bit more sauce although we normally order extra sauce when ordering a whole pie. Overall the slice was good but didn't have anything special that stands out from others in the area. The staff was nice and seemed like a family oriented establishment.
