Second time eating here and second time disappointed. Original cheese pizza just average. Tuccis is better with HowYa Doin even better than here. Calamari had no flavor and I dont know how you can make a marinara that comes with it with no flavor. Arugula salad was not too bad. We gave it two try's and both times were average at best. NY'kers will probably say it's great but my brother in law has been to the original (he lives there) and even said this isn't the same. Patsy's is one of our favorite local restaurants and we enjoy it for the food, taste and consistency. Well Tony was not there last night and the food was subpar. Our favorite "Original" pizza that normally comes to the table piping hot, thin and crispy with great sauce, came to our table lukewarm, with spongy not crispy crust (even though thin) with dried out sauce akin to the sauce you get on frozen pizza. So a 2.5 on this. The paccheri arrabbiatta which is normally a favorite dish of ours here and prepared in a unique fashion generally light, kind of clear with an oil chile based that exhibits hotness and is lip smacking good came out creamy orange in lieu of more like a traditional arrabiatta nowhere near as good as there normal preparation and taste. Chicken parm was consistently good as always. They get 3 stars for last night and I hope it was just a slip up instead of a new cook in the kitchen and Tony not being around to ensure consistency. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and a full bar inside. Although they had some fans on the outdoor patio, we decided to sit inside. The atmosphere is casual yet vibrant. The place was very busy. They informed us that if we ordered pizza it would be over an hour so we ordered three items for the three of us and shared. We ordered the Caprese Salad $16, Calamari $18 and the Eggplant Parmigiana $22 which came with a side of pasta. We made great choices. Everything was so delicious and plentiful. I said okay and told her I would call right back to put my order In but have been On hold for over 13 minutes. Zero stars currently. Still can't reach them after so many call backs. Came in for Sunday dinner around 7:30 and the place was packed (inside). We were able to get in without a reservation which was a good start. Came in because friends recommended it. So we decided to have pizza as our bread/appetizer. Interesting first thought, how are you an Italian restaurant and don't have bread for the table. All good but thought it was strange. The pizza, nothing special, thin crusted wood fired pizza. They are a dime a dozen around South Florida. For dinner, I went with Lasagna, other did the Brooklyn Spaghetti and Mussels. My lasagna was good, nothing special or memorable. Basic flavors and again lots of Italian places around that do it much better. The Brooklyn Spaghetti was sent back it was so bland and flavorless. The meatballs looked bright pink inside and they tasted strange. Not sure what they were made out of, but that's usually how you judge a really good Italian spot. It was so bad it was sent back for another lasagna. The mussels were good, good sauce. Overall it feels like a Boca-NY trap catering to old NYers who don't wanna drive or travel to get a NY experience. Place wasn't bad, it just wasn't good. I'm not sure I've ever done a second review for a place, much less a second one to just double down on how fantastic Patsys is. We stopped in last night to grab a drink and maybe get take out. Minutes after getting a couple great spots at their marbled bar, we knew we were eating there. And we decided so fast. She went with the lasagna because it felt right, and because I wanted some too. I got their Macellaio(meat lovers) cause it felt right, and she wanted some too. We nailed it as both were some of the best we have had. And the drinks were good, and fun. I got a s'more tini, and she got the martini that's like a whole salad. It cost more than your average Italian spot, but you get your moneys worth and more. read more

I finally was able to try Patsy's Pizza. I heard many good things about it. This review is from my visit there about a month ago. The weather was nice that day so we sat inside by the open door. All we ordered was pizza and it was more than enough. The pizza was very good although the cheese was a little on the salty side. The size of the slices were great. I was able to take home a couple slices for the next day foe lunch. Service was so, nothing memorable. There is limited parking in the front. The few spaces are actually shared with nearby restaurants. We were lucky to find a nearby spot and I don't even know ow where parking is had wr not found this golden spot. I recommend trying the tasty pizza at Patsy's. read more

The pizza is right on every time my wife and I dine there. The calamari comes out hot and crispy. The Caesar salad is fresh and the dressing is not overwhelming. The pizza is very good this coming from a guy who grew up on the Jersey Shore eating the thin bar pie from Pete and Elda's Carmine's Pizza and Vicks. Did not have reservations but found two open spots at the bar. Got some drinks while our pizza was being made and got to talk a bit with the bartender who was super friendly and attentive. Since the 1930s, Patsy's Pizzeria has been a Harlem staple, renowned for its coal-fired pies and now they're in the heart of Boca Raton. I have the cookbook at home and enjoy creating some of their classics. Now I have to see how good the outpost at Meizner Park compares. We found parking right in front. We were amazed every table inside and outside was taken. The restaurant was very, very noisy, we were yelling to talk to each other. Brian, our waiter was on point, personable, and very attentive. I started with a full body delicious Red Montepulcisn D'Abruzzo Battista 2016. We shared a hot appetizer platter with 2 eggplant rollatini, 3 shrimp, 3 baked clams, 3 rice balls with fontina, baked mozzarella, and a goey cheese wrapped in speck over zucchini. We came for the famous coal-fired pies sharing the meat lovers Macellao. The pizza was sizzling, hot, thin crust, covered in toppings and very salty. We ate half the pizza and took the rest home. We shared two small cannolis over orange marmalade with pistachios on top for dessert. They had a light whipped cream filling. My New York City emigrant companions tell me this is a great place for New York style pizza. My conclusion is, I'm not a huge fan of that style. It was okay, nothing to complain about, but hardly "mouth watering." I would also say that one pizza is too much for a single diner, unless you're both a large person and starving. Service: 4 stars Our party of seven got an outside table with a view of the sidewalk and street, so we could watch the world go by. It was a perfect Boca Raton winter evening. Ambience: 5 stars Maybe I haven't been going out enough as restaurant prices climb, and this place is not exactly in the "low rent district," but I was still surprised at how expensive everything was. One very thin pizza, with a cheese topping, was in the $25 range. They went up to low $30s, with extra individual toppings for $3.50 each. Most appetizers were in the $20 range. Salads were about $15, and had no protein component (fish or meat). I can't remember an Italian restaurant that didn't offer a chicken caesar salad, but this one doesn't. We arrived early on a Friday night - got there about 5:30 and there was plenty of street parking and plenty of tables available. We were immediately greeted by our waiter, Brian. He was fabulous. Brian was truly excited about the food offerings - especially the specials. He was a great waiter - he checked on us often, was personable and prompt. We each ordered a drink and then decided to order three appetizers to share - the appetizers were really made for 2 - - there were 2 pieces of eggplant rollantini, 2 pieces of some kind of fried cheese, etc. We asked if we could make it for 3 but we could not. We also ordered a pizza. The food was good but it was nothing like what I've eaten in New York - - especially the pizza. I was looking for real NY Pizza - the kind you fold and let the grease drip out - -this was not that. I did like the very thin crust and the flavor was good but it was all very, very salty. For dessert, we shared the cannoli - - really it was 2 cannolis. The filling was a little thicker than I had expected but had a good flavor. I guess I'm used to the lighter cream - closer to whipped cream in my cannoli. The three of us had a lovely time although the noise was so loud that we all left with sore throats from trying to talk to each other - - by the time we left, the place was packed! My NY friends swore I'd love it. They raved about the pizza at the NY location, and couldn't wait to get that here. Well, it's good. It's not amazing. We ordered two pies, a classic and a Margherita. The thin crust, slight char was spot on, although my friends said it was too thin. I'm a Jersey boy, and I like it thin. But the sauce lacked depth, there wasn't nearly adequate cheese on either one, but they were both good. We also had 3 of the 4 salads offered. The beet salad was the best, the arugula 2nd, and the Caesar was pedestrian. We also tried the blueberry pasta. Interesting. Once. Our server, Christian, was awesome. He should teach other servers how to pay attention to their tables. Well done! On the con side, very noisy, making table conversation difficult. Chairs are not great, but tolerable for the short time there. Pro side, parking is available in the garage across the street and in the same building, as well as street (paid) and valet. We also had a Caesar salad and a beet salad, which I must say were small salads good only for one person that's not a sharing type of salad. Beautiful Italian space on within the Milner area. I have recently become gluten free so I've been trying a lot of new options at restaurants. Audrey, our waitress told us they had gluten free options and one was that you could make any of their pizzas gluten free. So I got the Bianca, covered in cheeses with the gluten free crust. It was delicious. I'm finding that gluten free options have come a very long way and they are just as amazing as the gluten ones. This was a great example of one. The space is beautiful, staff are really friendly, even with the toddler- they said hello to her, predicted some of my needs as a mom like plastic cups, grabbing a new one when she dropped it. A family restaurant since 1931 The awesome tasting pizza is now available in Boca Raton at a reasonable price. 16 inches is the only size that is sold. Soda included free refills. Patsy's is thinner than most pizzas, therefore it does not fill me as much as other pizzas do. Waiter was attentive and refilled my soft drink when I needed it to be. Went last night for dinner with my wife and another couple. I ordered pork chop without hot cherry peppers others ordered different meals. All meals arrived and mine had the hot cherry peppers. The waiter apologized and said he forgot. My meal came back after all had finished eating and was boxed to go home. This is unacceptable. The only thing wrong with Patsy's Pizzeria is that it is not closer to where I live (Delray Beach). But going there this past week was truly like 'coming home'. For more than a decade, I worked a few blocks from the original Patsy's in midtown Manhattan. It was in regular rotation for Client lunches and dinners. So when I heard that they opened in Boca Raton, I was very hopeful. I'm pleased to say that hope was justified! It's just like the original ('ole Blue Eyes favorite). Like most venues in Boca Raton and Delray Beach if you go during peak hours, it is going to be loud inside. Thankfully, there was a 30 minute wait for an inside table, so we decided to risk the heat and sat outside. It turned out to be a brilliant decision. Fans kept us cool, and the set-up is quite comfortable. Our Waiter quickly introduced himself and explained that everything needed to be ordered at one time, although they'd pace bringing it out to the table. We started with a Caesar Salad (fine) and Clams Oreganata (off the hook, delicious!). If I have one issue, it is that they don't bring bread to the table. It felt like a shame not to have some to mop up the delicious sauce with the clams. We then ordered a large regular pie and the Rigatoni Patsy's (basically Pasta a la Norma). The Pasta was yummy, but again, I really wish there was a little bread to go along side. For me the star of the show was that DELICIOUS Patsy's Pizza! Yes, the crust is just this side of a little burnt in places. We still ate every single crumb and I'm only a little ashamed to say I ate 4 slices. Maybe it is best that Patsy's is a 30 minute drive, because I can see that Pizza quickly becoming an addiction. Explained the specials, even showed us a photo of one of them. The caprese was not good. A fourth of a tomato thinly sliced into about 6 half slices. It had some sort of dressing instead of a good balsamic. Get something else. Two of the specials weren't as good as the description. The pappardelle bolognese was very good.
