My son stopped in at this restaurant to bring home to us pizza and a salad the other night. First and foremost the pizza was excellent, as was the salad. My son told me he had a nice conversation with the owner which is always nice, and I thought we should let our neighbors knw that this is a very good pizza place. My first disappointing pizza from East Side, found accidentally my first pizza was great. But when I went back tonight for my second pizza. Over an hour plus to get it delivered....it was late, cold and soggy. My first pizza was delivered by East Side....tonight was delivered by Slice. I chased these guys down from their former Michael's in the Cove. I always enjoyed my "Saturday lunch Slices" in the Cove. Finally took the ride up to the new digs. Small, and crowded and well worth the effort. Great NY style slices and some familiar faces. The pizza rules, can't speak to the rest of the menu, yet. East Side Pizzeria is near my house, and I really wanted to like it but no such luck. This is not only the antithesis of NYC pizza but of good pizza anywhere. This is what pizza would taste like if it came out of a vending machine. This is just another South Florida shop selling vastly inferior, strange suburban pizza. The quality of the ingredients was poor, and the prep of the dough was poor. We made the mistake of ordering a regular pie and a Sicilian (in local parlance that would be a square) and both went into the garbage. read more

Went here the other day and ordered a large pie well done. When I got home I noticed the pizza was undercooked and soggy. They really need to work on the quality of the food. I've honestly had better pizza in the Costco food court. Many others in the area beat the quality for less. read more

Stopped by the first couple of weeks after it transitioning from Beachside Pizza; nice lady behind the counter, updated decor, good sausage pizza by the slice and the same deals. Picked up a few pizzas to go was okay and then this last week we are starting to see a little diminishing. Came to get the order, they gave it to someone else. They made the order again and forgot the black olives, crust is a bit off whack and sauce a tad bitter. Guess the transition team Mike and company and now we have the B team. Pizza was good but also got a chicken Caesar wrap and it tasted weird and was honestly disgusting so I asked for a refund because I wasn't going to eat it and it was 15$ and they wouldn't give me my money back and instead wanted to give me 3 slices of pizza (I didn't need that much pizza because I was going to the beach) and they were super rude about the whole situation. If I could rate negative stars I would. I used to order from the former owner who apparently had much more knowledge and pride on quality and customer service of his products. On July 6th, I ordered a full pepperoni pizza from the new owner. Long and short of it, the pizza dough was raw and each slice averaged 1 to 2 pieces of pepperoni. I never question price if the food is good...but when I texted the owner Michael about the disappointment and more so to give him the heads up to improve his quality, I received the rudest most heartless text back from him. It so happens, I lost my 15 year old niece to a car accident the same day so cooking was not on my agenda. I have attached copies of the texts between he and myself so you can see what a sad careless heartless person this new restaurant owner is. I've heard he treats his employees like crap, hence why they have no pride in representing him and in my opinion, he should consider selling slush puppies on the beach. Not a fan of the new owner here. Twice when I was there he was being extremely rude to the woman who works the register, one time literally yelling at her infront of customers over giving away free tap water.. They also don't use the AC, cant even eat inside. I feel bad for anyone who works here being around that oven. Woman at the counter is so nice and friendly though. Beyond Terrible!! My husband got an Antipasti salad it came with no dressing. I had eggplant parm with pasta hardly any sauce on the pasta. Would not recommend. I called to complain and was put on hold and waited 10 minutes and no one got back on the phone. read more

Brand new pizza place in a former pizza place location. Right near the beach on palmetto. Outstanding pizza. We had a meatball pie and a regular pie. Ny style!! Thin crust with slight char. Tangy slightly sweet sauce and the right amount of cheese. Meatballs very flavorful and sliced thin. Also got the garlic rolls: they are amazing; doughy, garlicky, with some carmelization on top and not greasy. Great place!!!!! read more
