DISAPPOINTING PIZZA... A 3am pizza parlor in a perfect trendy location near Atlantic Ave in Delray Beach. Bright red illuminated "Mama's Up All Night" name proudly affixed to the front exterior wall. Relaxed front patio table seating but mainly a grab & go custom pizza concept offering slices. A few little red tables inside hugging a massive chalk board with childish chalk drawings and words as a part of the simple ambiance. The front counter displayed several sicilian and NY style pizzas loaded with mouthwatering toppings. So far everything looked promising. The two female employees were friendly and one cut me a slice of cheese pizza and slid it into the stainless steel commercial double oven for a few minutes. Paid a premium price of $4.75 but the slice was oversized. At this point everything went south quickly. Out of my view, the wife took one bite of the pizza and gave me a strange look and told me to try it. Hesitated for a second, then chomped down on the front of the slice and instantly thought my taste buds were shot so took a second bite and told my wife it was completely tasteless with no crunch to the undercarriage either. My wife said it was horrible and sadly I agreed. Based on the first glance of the slice and the welcoming decor, I was anticipating a great slice of pizza. As a self-proclaimed pizza enthusiast with over one hundred pizza reviews, this was the first time I threw a slice of pizza into the garabge as the employees peered in confusion. Not even sure how a slice can have zero flavor, this was a first. I'm curious what brand of garlic, sauce and cheese were used to produce the bland effect. Wonderful spot for a late night drunken stuper with no concern for a tasty slice but honestly thats it - Buyer Beware. The gender neutral bathroom was open to customers only but had a sign posted that the toilet was broken which was only to deter drunks. Wow! Stumbled into this place just by patty and it did not disappoint. My husband absolutely loves thin crust pizza and although I like a thicker, more doughy crust - I still this was delicious! I think it was somewhere in between. It was cooked to perfection and piping hot! Extra bonus: fresh Parmesan was sprinkled on top before serving it. Delicious! The atmosphere for this pizza shop was the perfect addition to downtown Delray Beach. Heard about this late night pizza place near Atlantic Ave so gave it a try. The smell of the chocolate chip cookies overpowered the pizza and they were huge with big chips. The cheese pizza was a big let down with no flavor but all the pizzas looked so appetizing. Mama's Up All Nite is a New York style pizza restaurant that opened in August of 2023 in the Pineapple District in Delray Beach. Chef, Bobby Orfanos ran pizzerias all over Manhattan in the 1980's under his Mama name. In South Florida he helmed Greek restaurants Taverna Opa in West Palm Beach, Zorba's Taverna in Delray and the late Taverna Trela. Mama's Up All Night is open to 3 AM and offers round and square pies, garlic knots, strombolis, calzones, and specialty pies like a New Haven white clan, bacon and onion jam, Sunday Dinner, and even vegan pies. Everything is made with high quality, locally sourced, and organic ingredients wherever possible. I was going to a show in the area and was hoping to get to a restaurant before hand but time did not allow. I was delighted to find Mama's Up All Night a short walk from where I needed to be. There are a few high tops inside and some rustic tables out front. I ordered a slice of sausage pizza and a drink and with tip it was over $10. It was pricey but fast and it was exactly what I needed. The girls working were exceptionally nice and wanted to make sure it was correct temperature for me. There are a few ways to judge Mama's Up All Nite and the first is the ability to get pizza at two in the morning - like I recently did and when getting food that late I was less discerning than I would be at an earlier time. Two in the morning food gets a star just for being available at two in the morning. There is another way to critique this pizza and that's by slice type. Regular slice Sicilian Veggie Slice The regular slice was not good, with a soft bready crust an and an absence of sauce and olive oil. The Sicilian was lousy and coming from The Bronx I'm a little tough but even by Florida standards or any geographical metric the Sicilian was truly awful and was basically bad bread topped with indifference and it just couldn't be eaten. Sicilian pizza should have a crunchy semi-burnt base to offset and compliment the soft(er) top section but that was not present here. The Veggie Slice was good and I'm not sure how to gauge a vegetable slice but it seemed fresh and the good toppings compensated for the okay crust. This pizza place is okay with careful ordering late at night. read more

We ate at this location recently based on my wife's gluten-free app and the super-high ratings for this location. We ordered a gluten-free pepperoni pizza. It was not tasty and less than expected topped with pepperoni, cheese and sauce and had a thick focaccia crust. However, there was not much of a flavor profile to the taste. The ambiance was nice and felt like being home in NY. The pizza was decent and felt like a decent slice you'd get back home. It's not something you'd fly from miles to get to, but something that is good for its community. Service was prompt and friendly. Is it the best pizza place in Delray Beach, it's on the person. The pizza itself is good IF you can accomplish three very difficult things: 1) get them to give you a fresh slice (those are to the left of the glass case, 2) not pile 3 pounds of very strong parmesan on top (Even the owner refused my request not to add cheese on top of cheese) or 3) burn your pizza into a piece of crust when re-heating it. Got 2 slices on a Friday night about 7pm. This was early in the night - not 2am! Girl at front counter was indifferent and unfriendly and acted like she didn't want to be there. Pizza was old and dried out - see attached pic. For $6/slice you'd think they would serve fresh pizza! Does the attached pic look like fresh pizza to you? Very disappointed! Owner is a nice guy but he should know better - and he does know better! Don't serve your customers old pizza that's been sitting around out for 8+ hours! It might have even been yesterday's pizza it was so dry and hard like cardboard. I was shocked. Customers go out of their way to come to your shop and spend their hard earned money and you're going to sell them old dried out pizza? That's not how you should represent your store. If I could give negative stars i would absolute disgusting behavior from the staff whatever little girl was working on Friday January 31st at 1:45 AM was extremely rude disgustingly rude I tripped and fell on the outside patio I fell really bad. I'm a celiac so we ordered the gluten free crust. I gave this 2 stars because it was the best gluten free crust I've ever had. It's a thick crust and had a nice crunch to it. Baked perfectly. But that was the only positive thing I have to say. I ordered it an hour ahead of time and still had to wait 10 minutes for it to be ready. The sauce was very bland- no spice at all. Sausage was boring. Pepperoni was ok. And it was ridiculously expensive. $42 for a medium size. Would never go back. read more

My husband and I were very excited to try their pizza. Walked up to the counter and my husband told the girl we were going to order several pies. She said ok. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza and then proceeded to order more whole pies. Mind you, this is like 230 in the afternoon. We told her we wanted a clam pie and this meatball pie. She says to my husband, oh we don't have those pies and I don't know how to make them. you have to order a pie from the case only. Meanwhile there was an old guy who came in from smoking a cigarette and didn't even wash his hands. He just stood there and said nothing about the fact that they couldn't accommodate our order. So you have a whole menu of pizzas to order but no one knows how to make them and you can only order from the case. So if we wanted a whole pie that wouldnt be possible considering most of their pies had pieces missing! Makes no sense! Why do you have a pizza shop or work in one if you cannot make the customer what's on your menu? Very disappointing to say the least. We would have ordered several pies.
