Stopped by at Villagio on Friday night on my way to the Free Mizner concerts. I had seafood salad which was amazing $22.00. With crusty bread. The place looks very classy with white tablecloth. Scenery of Italy of the back wall. Service is amazing. I had a fly on my water, but that can happen anywhere. It was promptly replaced. They run especial m-f 50% off their menu. We had not been to the restaurant in quite a while and would not go back. The evening started when they sat us at a partular table even though it was early and the restaurant was empty. Shortly after a group came in and were seated next to us. I asked why they were seated next to us when the whole restaurant was empty and was told they had reserved that table 2 weeks ago and were regulars. SO if that is so and you know that a group was going to be next to us why sit us where we were. (They were a group of young men and were very loud). We moved tables. We ordered our main dishes and indicated that no EXTRA salt be put on the food. I ordered the veal Marsala at the recommendation of the waitress and my partner ordred the Branzini with mashed potatoes. Her food came out with broccoli instead. When questioned the waitress said the mashed potatoes had salt in it so without asking us they substituted. They also presented the dried fish without the sauce. Again the waitress said the sauce had salt in it. We know certain foods have salt but our request was not to add additional salt. We eat out regularly and have never had a restaurant get our request wrong. As far as my dish was concered the 2 pieces of veal were very tough. The best part o the meal was the dessert. read more

food was just OK. Service a bit less than average couldn't get my water refilled. As to the food I ordered the shrimp fried Diablo pictured and the sauce tasted like Ragu or Prego out of a jar. Close to disgusting. The chicken piccata was too heavily breaded and not cooked correctly tasted like flour. The eggplant appetizer was the winner of the night and it was pretty good. Salmon was average as well. they did serve a very nice bread basket which saved the night they serve focaccia as well as very fresh delicious bread. The service was ok but we won't ever go back! The Lasagna wasn't edible, it was worse than microwaveable lasagna! We took 1 bite each told the server, they didn't offer to fix it. They removed it from the table then tried to charge for it. We asked to speak to the manager he refused to come over. Olive Garden would've been better. The best Italian food in Boca Raton! We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Villaggio in Mizner Park. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, making it perfect for a date night or a family gathering. The restaurant is beautiful and elegant--the inside seating features a lovely backdrop of Piazza San Marco in Venice, while the outdoor seating is a bit more casual with a beautiful view of Mizner Park. From the moment we walked in, the manager and hostess made us feel welcome and seated us immediately. The service was amazing from start to finish. We started with delicious appetizers: fresh burrata, tuna tartare, and crispy calamari. For entrees, we had the homemade lobster ravioli, linguine seafood, branzino, and steak. Absolutely disgusting experience at Villagio. I specifically requested a table outside and away from other guests so my toddler and her friend could play near the fountain. Out of nowhere, an older man from another table walked over, grabbed my child by the hand, and screamed "STOP IT NOW." No stranger should ever touch someone else's child. Instead of addressing this completely inappropriate behavior, the manager, Nuro, came to our table and told us to pay and leave, claiming we were a disturbance. My friend was literally trying to close the bill with Apple Pay, while her daughter was on the phone with her father, and the manager repeatedly said he "didn't care" and demanded we leave immediately. Meanwhile, there was a baby crying loudly inside the restaurant, yet somehow our toddlers playing outside were the problem. Our server Francesca was extremely slow and poorly trained, and the food itself is honestly disgusting and overrated. I have even seen a cockroach in my food here before and never made a big issue about it. Allowing a stranger to grab a child, then forcing the family to leave instead of addressing the real problem, is completely unacceptable. Families should avoid this place. Clearly children are not welcome here. The food is horrible and the kitchen is covered with cockroaches. read more

My boyfriend and I went here for date night on February 13th, hoping to avoid the Valentine's Day rush. Unfortunately, we had the worst service. The restaurant wasn't busy--only one large party next to us, and they already had their food and drinks. When we were seated, we were given food menus but not drink menus. It took 15 minutes before someone walked by, and when my boyfriend asked for a drink menu, they brought it and disappeared. After waiting a while, my boyfriend tried to get a server's attention, but the response was a rude "not now" before walking away. I told my boyfriend I hoped he wasn't our server. When we finally got service, we ordered food and a bottle of red wine. The server brought white wine instead, but at least corrected it when we pointed it out. After our food arrived, the server never checked on us. I ordered fettuccine with chicken and mushrooms, but the chicken was missing. Since our server disappeared, we couldn't even address it. I wanted dessert, but my boyfriend suggested we go elsewhere. The server eventually came back--only to clean up after the large party--but still ignored our table. We had to flag someone down just to get our check. At that point, the server asked if we wanted dessert, but we declined. To top it off, my boyfriend mentioned that the same out-of-service stall in the men's bathroom from a year ago was still broken, and the door was rusted at the bottom. We don't usually leave reviews, but after this terrible experience--and both of us working in hospitality--we felt it was necessary. A year ago, we had our second date here and had a great time, so we thought it would be special to return for our first Valentine's. Sadly, it was a huge disappointment. I had to meet someone here for business, and based on reviews I wasn't expecting much. Yelp was spot on. The food was not fresh at all, we had calamari for our appetizer, there was hardly any actual squid, it was mostly just French fries. I've never seen that done using French fries as filler for calamari. I ordered seafood risotto. None of the seafood was fresh and the risotto itself wasn't the correct texture. We live near Mizner Park. We have been to every restaurant in the area, except Villagio. What a nice surprise! Excellent service and Delicious Food! The restaurant's decor is a bit tired and very 90s. They can certainly refresh it a tad. However, the place is clean. Food is hot, delicious and on time. They give you a nice aperitivo to start - delicious bruschetta and tasty bread. The prices are decent for Boca. Make sure get the Vitello Parmigiana. It is succulent. read more

We have lived in Delray for 10 years and never tried this restaurant. I was craving Risotto which apparently a unicorn in South Florida . My daughter used to order from Villago in Brickell all the time when she was at UM and remembered that the Risotto was good. We were not disappointed . The service was excellent, the soft bread was warm and the tomato bruschetta was seasoned perfectly . My mushroom Risotto was very very good. My husband's octopus salad was great. Stopped by for a late lunch after visiting the Boca Museum. We were craving Italian and this place was conveniently located in Mizner Park. They have outdoor dining but you're dining right on the sidewalk while patrons walk by. They try to capitalize their outdoor space by having lots of seats outside but its very crowded and this was the case while we dined. We opted to sit inside. The decor inside was very old school and dated. I ordered a stuffed pasta and a 4 cheese white pizza. The pasta had ricotta and spinach that was covered in this amazing cheesy pink sauce. It was really good! The pizza was thin and really good as well. Our food and service were good but nothing spectacular. If you're already in Mizner Park and want Italian, stop by but if you would a better ambience and food- there a few spots close by that would satisfy this. read more

We stoped in here for a quick lunch after our elopement ceremony on the beach in a tux and wedding dress last month and the staff treated us so well! We had planned to take pictures in mizner park but needed to get some food and relax. The food was amazing, and the manager invited us to take a couple of great pictures inside the restaurant. Fantastic dinner service! My wife and I decided to take part in their "Lobster Tuesday" service. My wife ordered the Maine Lobster with Linguini and Shrimp in a Scampi Sauce and I had the Veal Tortellini in a Pink Sauce! ALL pasta was "Al Dente" and the taste was great! This is one of those experiences when the environment is inviting. The servers are nice but none of the food was good. I ordered risotto and the pear martini. My husband had a steak meal and he didn't like it either. I tasted it and it was a bit grainy. My little girl had spaghetti and marinara sauce. The food took a while to come out, at least about 20 minutes. They did bring a variety of breads and butter out while we waited. The food was pretty pricey, I say that because there are a tone of places to eat that have better quality of food and experience. If they were $10 salads, it would be OK but when you get a $23 salad you expect it to be a little better. I have the Amalfi seafood salad. It had two mussels, two clams & two slices of octopus. Notwithstanding, the service was prompt, efficient, and attentive; the food offered something for everyone, tasted great, and left us satisfied. They ran out of table clothes, but given the crush of reservations, we understood. I indulged in the chicken parmigiana, it was delicious and came with capellini (angel hair) with marinara. I asked for arrabiata sauce instead, which they clearly didn't have, so they threw on some hot pepper flakes. Not the best solution, but more than edible. Every time I come here I ask why don't we eat here more often. The food is so great. Favorites are the tuna tartare, Caeser salad, lobster ravioli, veal parmesan (to die for). Food was ok, although portions seemed smaller than last year. Service was good and the food came out quickly. However I used the men's restroom and it was disgusting. The wooden door was rotted out, a urinal was covered with a plastic bag, the door frame was rusted out and the floor was covered in piles of rust. This took months to happen and the management ignored this disgusting mess. We had dinner last night at Villagio In Boca and I'm a few words " it was very good". Three martinis and a glass of wine to begin with. Drinks were terrific. Caesar salad was very good as well. Veal Milanese and Veal Parmigiana were our entrees and they were perfectly cooked and delicious. Cappacino to close was perfect. There was and is a vibe dining outside which was not only unexpected , but good as it reflects good drinks and dining. The wait staff was very good which is nice to say as in this day of Covid , it's not easy to find as most of the restaurants have all new people. As year round residents I know we will return. Business seems to have dropped since my last visit in March. Due to the weather, no outside seating was set up. However, inside was not very full for a Friday night. There has been some new venues opening up at Mizner to compete with this location. Anyhow, with that said, as a result, service improved a bit even when the staff has decreased tremendously. I enjoyed my Happy Hour Riesling and Eggplant. Our table of 10+ seemed to have had a great time as there was no rush to turnover our tables. So, sometimes it's better to enjoy an older venue than to step into an overcrowded understaffed new place on a Friday night. read more

Villagio left almost no impression on us; I'd have to work really hard to remember a more forgettable place. Nothing horrible, just.... unremarkable. They have an amazing location in Boca, and the view of the promenade is very satisfying, if sometimes a bit occluded by the ostentatious valet station (ridiculous in a plaza with immense amounts of free parking), and the decor and general atmosphere are 100% Boca... but the food,though ridiculously, if expectedly, overpriced, was not really good enough to get us back, or steal us from Yard House. read more
