I have been going to this place for years and the food is still top tier! My latest visit was when I was visiting my parents in South Florida. My family and I (party of 4) went on a weeknight. During busy season, it is essential you join the waitlist through their website if you want to avoid waiting a long time at the restaurant. I joined the waitlist a little after 6pm and it was a 60-75 min wait so we were able to wait from the comfort of our home. When it got closer to 60 min, we headed for the restaurant. We checked in with the hostess and by the time we were seated, it was around 75 min from when I joined the waitlist. The place was extremely busy with every table filled and more people waiting outside to be called. We tried to be quick and concise with our order because of this. We ordered the garlic rosemary loaf and the Sicilian salad for the table as appetizers. For dinner, I shared a large The Joey D pizza with my cousin. The pizza had meatballs, ricotta, and shaved Parmesan on it. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. The only con with my visit was the service. We understand the server was busy, but it was disappointing to be ignored when we did ask for things when she visited our table (e.g. refills on water and napkins). Despite the less than stellar service, this is a great restaurant. I highly recommend it for a date night or when you want to impress guests. I just spoke with a manager named Matthew to shout out his staff and the food at this location. He's also a great manager. You can tell the he's worked with his staff closely and he's proud of the team he's put together. What more can I say except Sicilian Oven sends delicious, hot, flavorful food out of the kitchen consistently. Consistency is the key to a great restaurant and this place is dependably delectable. Always. The vibe is very elegant but friendly inside. The staff are always courteous and professional. The food is to die for. We tried the eggplant parm and MB sandwich tonight and both are a hit. Always a great experience here at Sicilian oven! Lee was our server and was really knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients and had a nice vibe. We statyed out with the frosting in a garlic oil. I came here during the week for lunch with a girlfriend and we sat at the bar. They had a good lunch menu, and I went with the eggplant parmesan. It was served with a fresh and delicious salad and some pasta. Portions are large. My eggplant was so good! I couldn't eat here without trying their famous wood fired chicken wings, topped with sautéed onions. Amazing! I ordered the wings, knowing that I would take most of them home for dinner. I didn't realize that I would have so much food leftover. Like I said, the lunch portion was a lot. I had enough food for at least two more meals. I am not complaining as everything was very good. Prices were reasonable. Service was attentive. Parking was easy. Food was delectable. Perfectly located across the street from the movie theater. It was my first time dining here, and I went with a party of five. We were greeted promptly, and despite the restaurant being nearly full, we were seated quickly. First of all, most of the food was excellent. The sausage pizza that a couple of us shared was cooked perfectly, with a crispy crust and quality toppings. Nice job there! Another highlight was the Caprese salad, with tomatoes that were the perfect color and texture. One of our party ordered meatballs, but after the pizza arrived, the meatballs were nowhere to be found. We were sitting near the kitchen and noticed them sitting on the warmer for a while, but our server never came to get them. We then saw another waiter grab the meatballs and leave, so we assumed those weren't ours. Finally, our server (who, by the way, was the worst part of the night and the reason I'm only giving 3 stars) came over and told us that someone else had taken them. It was frustrating because they had been sitting there for 10 minutes, and he didn't do anything about it. He eventually reordered the meatballs, but by the time they arrived, the rest of us were almost done with our pizza. Fortunately, the person who ordered them said they were fantastic! Overall, the food was really good, but the service was horrendous. I had to drink someone else's water since I couldn't get the waiter's attention for a long time. No one was offered a second beer or drink, even though everyone had empty glasses. The ambiance of the place was good, it was very clean, bathrooms, etc. all very well kept. The wife and I had our date night there last night. It was incredible! We had the Sicilian Bruschetta and the Popeye pizza. The food was delicious. The service was top notch. The ambiance was that of a comfy restaurant although it was bustling. It was our first visit but is definitely just the first of many. We highly recommend this place. It is a bit more expensive than your run of the mill Italian restaurant, but if you appreciate food, it is more than worth the price point. A perfect blend of romaine lettuce, garbanzo beans, red onion, celery, olives, shaved parmesan, candied walnuts, roasted red peppers, in a balsamic vinaigrette. My friend Doug and I ordered a large one and shared. It was the right size and the right dish for us. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and when it came time to pay, we just gave her two credit cards and she split the bill down the middle. We had a lovely time at Sicilian oven in Lighthouse Point. We walked in, we were immediately greeted by the manager and were shown to our table. Now, I will tell you that we went at 5:30pm on a Friday night, off season. This place gets packed quick and, during season, there is typically a long wait. Just prepping you bc there is always line...and with good reason. The atmosphere is quaint and it seems like your typical Friday night bar/restaurant with the hardwood floors and the bar and the sport on the TV. But then you get seated and the attention and fun begins. We were a party of 5 and there to celebrate the birthday of an 87 year old Navy veteran. Jack was our waiter and he was so very patient, kind, and 100% Italian (par for the theme). He immediately asked us if we wanted drinks or cocktails and went off to the bar while we perused the menu. The drinks/ cocktails were refreshing, well-made and they came quickly. It was time to order and Jack was quick to ask us what we wanted. He went around the table and made great suggestions and we were off and running. We ordered the large portion of the Anti-Pasto and the Rice Ball (it doesn't say "arancini" on the menu-look for "Rice Ball". We also ordered the Sicilian salad. They aren't pictured here bc we all dug in right away. The Sicilian salad was enough for everyone at the table to taste. It was a beautiful blend of roasted peppers, lettuce, pecans, and more. It was a memorably FRESH salad. Did I mention how FRESH it was? It was delicious and I could honestly eat that every day. On a side note, my mom typically gets the Summer Salad and she says it's even better but we left that for the next time. Now, let's talk the rice ball. Ground beef with some peas rolled in the center of a ball of risotto and then coated and fried "forgetaboutit". We wished we had ordered more. Everyone had one little bite to taste and it was amazing. The Anti-Pastor had the usual favorites: cheese, prosciutto, salami, olives, bruschetta, tapenade, home-made crostini, and LOTS and LOTS of olives. My suggestion for the restaurant, a little more crostini and a little less olives on the board. We had bruschetta and tapenade that we ended up eating by the spoonful because it was so delicious but it would have been better on the crostini. Next, the main courses. I am going to preface by stating that the menu warns you, "Prepare to share..". It says it right on the very top. Did we listen? No! Do we have leftovers for a couple of days? Yes. Everything was prepared fresh. You could tell that there was love in the sauces and the dishes. The Pollo Gabrielle is not on the menu but is online and they will make it for you if you ask for it. It's 3 pieces of perfectly fried chicken cutlets, with prosciutto, and mozzarella and a creamy vodka sauce with peas. THREE pieces of chicken!! A quick note that all dishes are a la carte so my hubby asked for spaghetti to be added and they bedded it underneath the chicken which was perfect. My mom got the Pollo Reggiano. Again, 3 pieces of chicken made to perfection with an amazing sauce on top. The Pistachio Pesto sauce was divine as were the Vodka and Bolognese sauces for the other dishes. FRESH. FRESH, FRESH!! This is the ONLY word for the food coming out of this kitchen. I would recommend 1 pasta dish and 1 protein dish for 2 people. It's more than enough. Jack, our waiter, was attentive, despite an extremely busy restaurant, checked in on us frequently, and even boxed our leftovers table-side. The kitchen was running slow and they forgot my mom's side of spaghetti. The food came out in rounds so that was my other critique. It's never fun to watch someone else wait for everyone else at the table to get their food before eating and it gets awkward when you tell them to eat and they are the only one's eating. Hence the 4 versus a five. The table next to us also cancelled two of their side dishes bc the kitchen was slow in getting them out and they had already eaten their main dishes. We didn't stay for desert bc we had desert waiting for us at home but we will be back to try. So, if you didn't want to read all of the above- here's the short version...great atmosphere, fresh food, fantastic service, prepare to wait during season and get there early during off season, order with sharing in mind. To the restaurant, keep doing what you're doing but maybe work on the kitchen expediting so all of the ordered items in the main course come out together for each table. We will definitely be back bc, to boot, the prices are incredible and extremely affordable. We paid $221 (before tip) for all of the food and cocktails for 5 AND had plenty of leftovers. Went there on a very cold day. They had both the garage door and main entry way door open. The place was freezing. When I asked the manager to close both doors he refused saying the owner likes it like that. Everyone but a few in the joint had coats on. I told the manager to tell the owner to come in and eat in the cold. Doesn't the customer's needs mean anything any more. To make matters worse our food came out in shifts. The time difference between the 1st and last person being served was 10 minutes. We couldn't wait for all to be served or the first person's meal would be cold. Never going there again. Best pizzas in town. I order the Blanco with caramelized onions and anchovy. I have had this with a gluten free option which blew me away it was so good and crispy. The mussels are the best I've had since i moved here a year ago bathed in a rich flavorful broth with delicious roasted garlic i dunk my pizza in the mussels broth. Absolutely stunning.
