Great food - we usually order carry out since Covid. Recommend the panang chicken with noodles, pad Thai and spring rolls .

Solid 3.5, above average I suppose, but we're still looking for that golden Thai joint in this neck of the woods. Until we find it, I'll probably keep ordering from Siam Treasure. Pad thai has been hit or miss both times I've tried it. Hit first, then miss. The second time it had decent flavor but was dry and stingy on peanuts and green onions. The first time it was awesome. Basil fried rice is full of vegetables, with decent flavor, not too spicy, but SO oil-heavy. Skip the spring rolls, super boring. Tom kha soup is very tasty. What I love about a Thai soup is that, after you eat all of the solids, you have at least half the broth left, so you can make another serving just by adding some rice and vegetables. Or rice and meat. Or just rice--whatever you want. A pretty nice value for $3.50. Fried calamari is pretty good, very plain but served with a sweet chili sauce. The menu notes "lightly breaded" but I found the coating to be quite thick. These guys are smart and considerate though--for delivery they open the top of the calamari box so that the breading maintains its integrity. I'll take warm and crispy over hot and soggy. They are available through Seamless/Grubhub and delivery is always about 20 minutes less than the estimate. read more

Popped in the other afternoon with a couple Yelpers that love to sample. It was just after Noon and it was dead. I haven't ever thought to hit any of these strip mall shops mainly due to the fact that parking is hard to come by. I assume because of the nail shop and Dunkin Donuts. We got an appetizer platter and a few of the offerings were pretty good. Their version of Crab Rangoon is called a Golden boat. Small circular puffs with just enough cream and subtly sweet. One of the group liked them a lot, so we got an order. The shrimp blanket, a shrimp stretched straight and fried in a blanket of spring roll. I don't know, it's just a filler item. The egg rolls were spring rolls with noodles inside. Fried shumai and potstickers were pretty good. Ordered a few entrees as well, like the Crazy noodles with beef and pork, Crab rolls, Chili curry with pork and chicken and Seafood tom yum noodle soup. A lot of food for three people but we had a good time tasting and enjoying the time. With their curries, different types of rice are offered but arrives in the tiniest bowl, so I found myself ordering again and again. The entrees ordered were good with exception of the Tom Yum soup. Something about the broth and noodles, it just didn't mesh for me. The crab rolls are more of an acquired taste. If you like dipping and fried items, just go for it. A spring roll wrapper stuffed with crab meats, shrimp & Thai spices. It's not costly but with frying it's hard to get the taste of the spices and seafood meats. Service was good. One lady with a wrist tattoo, covered all tables. I only mention the detail because she never shared her name. We were never lacking or waiting and wondering. She was warm and welcoming. Appetizers and entrees came out in a fair amount of time which added to a good visit. My only complaint would be residue on the tables. It was sticky to the touch. Ugh. Sticky tables often mean details forgotten, I hope they see this and steam clean or clean them properly. read more

Cozy little place cookin' up delicious Thai food. As we all know, I like the Thai food. We got the staples: 1. Pad thai- not over loaded with crap like some thai places do. they do it right. 2. Pad Sie Eiw- The noodle were a little too broken up for my liking but I cant hate because it was delicious. If the integrity of the noodle held up, this would have gotten five stars from me. 3. Fried Potstickers- Awww snap. and snap they did. Golden fried pot stickers with meat and a dipping sauce. I recommend you try this. My boyfriend wasn't a fan of the eggrolls but I though they were good. This is a BYOB restaurant so don't forget your Vino! They deliver. They are a friendly staff who cook up the food fast. Waiting for a table to eat is always good but seeing the customers who are waiting for a table, cleaning the table is a surprise for me. Usually when I see customers clean their own table in a restaurant means they are understaffed or regular customers who knows the owners. In this case, the customers knows the family very well and knows they are busy. After 10 minutes of waiting (I did not have to clean my table) I was greeted and escorted to a table. After another 10 minutes I ordered my food. After 10 more minutes - I received my food. The food was decent, I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and Tom Yum Soup. After 15 minutes, I had to go to the counter to get my check and waited another 10 minutes. I would recommend this place if every other place near here is more than an hour wait for a table. read more

I was in the mood for curry, and met a friend here. This was quite good. I got the mummon curry or whatever it's called. I know it started with an M. Wasn't very spicy, and was a decent portion. I even enjoyed the left overs :) My only complaint would be the kanam-Jeep. The onions or whatever is on top of them was dry, and crunchy. The dumpling like things were fine, but just that dry crunchy stuff took away front he moist, softness that I enjoy with that appetizer. Appetizer was served very close to our entree which I wish there was a bit of time between them. Better than them both taking forever, but that was something I like to see. No real complaints other than what I listed. Thai Iced Tea was made well. I asked if they could use coconut milk instead of their dairy creamer, and they said that don't do that. Best Thai iced tea around my area in my opinion. Most places either make theirs too sweet or lack flavor but they hit the nail on the head every time with their Thai tea. The only thing is their cups get smaller and smaller and filled to the brim with ice so you really aren't getting much of the tea. The food is decent but more Americanized. The food at Siam Treasure is very good and consistent. The service is efficient and friendly. It's a really good option for Thai in the area. We placed a fairly large, 15 item carry out order that was ready when promised, in about 30 minutes. Everything was correct and they labeled the dishes so we knew what was what. This is convenient and also important when you have a peanut allergy in the family. As far as the peanuts go, we were able to ask for no peanuts in a dish using the online ordering app and they fulfilled our request. That's very much appreciated. read more

Siam is still one of my favorite Thai restaurants! Lately, my go to has been the Chicken Peanut Sauce since I loved the peanut sauce so much from the Chicken satay. I believe they close for an hour so the employees can go on lunch. I'm not entirely sure what time that is but I do want to see either 2 to 3 or 3 to 4. I'm eating my delivery order right now as I type, so you're gonna get the play-by-play, here. (I should be typing my expense report, but this is much more fun.) 1) Som Tom (green papaya salad): This is awesome. Very fresh, crunchy, spicy! (Beware the chilis that look like bits of tomato.) Nice heat, but wonderfully balanced "yum" sweet, too. Nicely, nicely done! 8.5 out of 10! 2) Fresh Spring Rolls: Nice, non-fried tofu/veggie rolls, served with a syrupy plum dipping sauce. Pretty standard, but good. Even without the plum sauce, they have a hint of sweetness inside them (just like your mom). I'd get 'em again. 7 out of 10. 3) Chicken satay: I forgot to order peanut sauce (or did they forget to put it in the bag?) but these skewers are so wonderfully marinaded that I don't miss it. Honest! 8 out of 10. 4) Naem Sod: Sweet lordy, this is wonderful. Very, very flavorful! It's a very "bright" dish (in flavor, not color). Ground chicken (verrrry finely ground, but beware the occasional gristle), a teeny bit of red onion, lots of cilantro on top (you can eat around it if you're not a huge cilantro fan), peanuts, and a terrific amount of freshly-julienned ginger root. There's a tiny bit of lime in there, too. I am a happy, happy girl. 9 out of 10. 5) Beef salad: Meh. Not tremendously interesting, and the beef slices are a little... I dunno... school-cafeteria-like. It's not bad. But I wouldn't get it again. The veggies in there are fresh and crisp, though. 3 out of 10. 6) Tom kha gai: I give it a 7 out of 10. Decent, sweet/sour balanced broth; not very thick. It's missing something, but I can't put my finger on it. It's got tons of mushrooms, a decent amount of good chicken, some kaffir lime leaves, and... that's about it. No other veggies, no galangal chunks. Interesting factoid: Of all the dishes I sampled tonight, lemongrass was conspicuously absent. Seriously. I didn't find a single morsel of the stuff. Maybe that's what the beef salad and the tom kha gai were lacking. Anyhoo, these folks delivered to my hotel (yay!), and their delivery guy was very sweet (yay yay!). Have had one meal here this year and decided to have dinner recently. Take care parents whose children live with food allergies or anyone allergic. When our party inquired about ingredients, the waitress refused to check with the kitchen for an allergic ingredient. We got up to leave and the waitress continued her diatribe about how there is no food packaging available to check for ingredients even as we were already out the door. Utter nonsense. Tom Yum Soup -- Pretty good but could have been spicier for my tastes. (However, I later read that you can ask them to increase the spiciness of any dish.) This place is hit or miss. The first time was a success, good food and made timely. My following order was 50 min late, no apology, bland and smaller portions. My third and final order was via Grub Hub. I liked ordering via Grub Hub cause at least I could see their full menu. One of the dishes had "ground beef" and I asked for sliced beef on that entree. They called right after the order was placed arguing who let me place an order like that. Excuse me? They said they never make exceptions and menu is as is. I said that the other times I ordered no one said anything, just made it. They said phone orders are not Grub Hub orders. Which means that since they have to pay % to Grub Hub, they skimp on your orders. And they do, the portions were half the normal small size. Also, in the winter they use gas outdoor heaters inside, you could get carbon monoxide poisoning sitting there the fumes were so intense. read more

We have been ordering take-out from here for over 6 years. The food is generally great. There was a time about a year ago when they must have had a different chef for a while because the food wasn't as good for a period of several months - just not as flavorful or spicy. But lately it seems just as good as before. The appetizers are just so-so, but the main dishes are great. We have ordered the yellow curry, green curry, "crazy noodle", tom kha, pad see ew and beef salad love them all. And our friends who have ordered the pad thai always say it is very good, too. The decor in the restaurant is very casual - nothing fancy. But delivery for us has always been very fast and friendly. In all our years of eating there we have never encountered the mean younger person mentioned in some of the other reviews. And I wouldn't worry about that if you are getting it delivered anyway! I have visited this restaurant a few times and am now making it my go to thai spot. I really like their panang chicken and I LOVE their chive dimplings as well. It's located in a small strip mall off of Harlem and Touhy, but don't let that discourage you. The food is very fresh and tasty. It is a very small place, but it is cutely decorated and makes you feel comfortable. As far as service goes, I have found the service to be attentive every time that I have visited. The only gripe that I have is that I wish the portions were a little larger for the price. Other than that, great food, so I will be returning again! read more
