(4.5/5) Was craving Thai food and finally tried this amazing restaurant on Hastings. We came in on a Saturday evening and were sat immediately with no reso (yay!). The server was really nice and introduced the specials to us. Our group of 4 decided to share a variety of dishes and overall, everything was amazing. For appetizers, we selected the magic noodle salad and chicken satay skewers. The salad was indeed magic...when pouring the spicy and sweet sauce over the noodles, they changed colours from blue to purple. This was a very entertaining touch, although I'm not sure how attracted I was to eating the blue noodles. If you enjoy novelty and a sweet/sour salad dressing, this dish can be for you. The skewers were well seasoned and the dipping sauces were delicious - especially the cucumber one. Onto the mains - my goodness everything was so good! While the tom yum and drunken noodles tasted exactly as advertised, I was quite impressed with the crispy pork and duck curry. The pork was crispy and was an aromatic dance of flavours. It paired well with string beans and the fragrance of the fried basil. I did not believe that lychee and curry could go together, but the duck curry proved otherwise. It was intriguing to have something sweet and fruity pair so well with the red curry. The duck meat was also tender and well cooked. Overall, all the flavours of sweet, sour, and spicy satisfied us deeply and definitely put us into a partial food coma afterwards. After sharing everything, the cost was around $45-50 per person, and we had leftovers from the curry. My only comment is that medium spice felt more like mild for us so definitely choose hot if you enjoy spicy food. I would love to come back to try other items on their menu!
The spring rolls were nice and crispy and came with the perfect amount of sauce. The pad thai with chicken was good, but I have tasted better. The drunken noodle with chicken was really flavorful. It is spicy, but i tend to have a low spice tolerance than most people. The deep-fried banana with ice cream was so delicious. It's been a long time since I have had one and this was outstanding. The customer service here was absolutely outstanding. The staff members took the time to discuss what they would recommend from the menu. They also recommended different spice levels and or substitutions that they offered. They checked on us multiple times throughout our meal. I would definitely recommend this place, especially because of the amazing customer service that we received. I would rate the food 4 stars and the customer service 5 stars.
Toronto has a lot of great Thai food, but Vancouver Thai food always lack a bit in my opinions, when I was about to give up on my search, I came here. Best decision ever It's so good! Everything I had was amazing. I highly recommend the squid, it's so delicious, I could eat 10 plates of this. The stuffed chicken wings is also amazing, it's so creative. They are packed! Super busy all the time. The service is good!
Went for lunch with friends. This restaurant is consistently delicious! The prawn pad thai was exactly what I needed Service is great. Decor is beautiful.
AMAZING!! Had a reservation and they were holding a table for us when we got there. Got seated right away and they gave us menus. They were not pushy for us to order, but we had kinda looked before hand and had an idea of what we wanted. The staff here was really nice and VERY attentive!!! We ordered and the food came out piping hot. Portion size was spot on for the price was tasty. Great job!!
Nice place on Hastings Street. There is plenty of street parking around the area. It has a casual setting with a few booths, and tables along the other wall. Service was great. They have lunch specials (smaller version of some of their dishes). We got the stuffed wings, magic noodle salad and the pad thai lunch special. The stuffed wings were good with the chicken meat and spring roll style stuffing. The magic noodle salad come with a small bowl of sauce/dressing which was vinegary so we didn't use it all, maybe half of it as that was enough to give the dish flavor. The pad thai was good too as it had a good blend of flavors. Not one thing overpower the other.
Got this recommendation from a friend and it did not disappoint! Have been struggling to find good Thai food in the Burnaby/ Coquitlam area so was blessed to be painted to this gem. I order the standard pad Thai with prawns and red curry with coconut rice. Both were absolutely fantastic and portions did not lack in size. Price point was fair I also added a side peanut sauce which I always do and this one was massive and delicious. Not a bad word to say about this pace looking forward to next visit to go deeper into the menu. Highly recommend Mange!
We came here when I was totally hung over... but sobered up as soon as I got to eat the food in my belly. Everything was well flavored and we finished everything. I like how everything was bright and colorful, pleasing to the eye.
First time trying this restaurant out and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's got a super casual and cute interior of the restaurant. The service was great... our server asked us if we had any allergies as well which was wonderful. Hope to come back soon in the future to try out more of their dishes!

It was the first time trying curry with tofu and it didn't disappoint! Will definitely go back again to try their other dishes.

The shrimp cake was nice and crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. We definitely ordered a little too much. But I'm not complains about having it again for dinner. Can never get bored of Thai food Pro tip: make reservations if you done want to wait.
Enjoyed a delicious Thai dinner with a gf at Siam Le Bien. My first time here, but not the first for my friend. We shared the Tom Yum Prawn "Hot and Sour soups", Crispy Pork belly, Pad Thai (prawn), Pad Ka Pao (ground pork), and two Thai Iced Teas. Everything was yummy. My favourite of them all was the Pad Ka Pao. Delish!
I'd spotted Siam Le Bien Thai Cuisine a few months ago while we were in the neighbourhood. It's next door to Kamamarui Ramen & Don Heights. Seems to be very popular for takeout. Service is friendly and patient. Always a good sign when it's run by Thai people. They ask what spice level you want (our waitress suggested medium spicy) but I would go higher if you want heat. Barely a blimp/kick of heat with the medium level. The menu consists of appetizer, soup, salad, noodle, fried rice, curries, wok and dessert. They also have a weekday lunch menu ($13.00) that runs from 11:30am to 4:00pm. Trip #1 - Thai milk tea ($5.00) - strong flavour, excellently made. - Som tum (#12) ($12.00) - good portion size. Sauce was well balanced with good notes of sweet and sour. Solid way to start our meal. - Siam magic (#14) ($14.00) - the bean vermicelli was really interesting with a translucent blue colouring. Had a bite of N's dish; again, delicious with a well balanced dressing. - Crab fried rice (#22) ($18.50) - good wok hei to the fried rice. You don't see many places offering real crab these days. Tasty. - Jasmine rice ($2.50) - not sure what happened but the rice was mushy. The only miss in an otherwise tasty meal. - Red duck curry (#27) ($19.00) - good portion of BBQ duck pieces and vegetables. Curry was good but we wanted it spicier. Trip #2 - Tipsy mai tai ($8.00) - 3x Coconut rice ($3.00) - Chicken satay (#4) ($10.00 for 4) - skewers were excellent; tender and succulent. - Pad thai (#19) ($15.50) - B's parents really enjoyed the tamarind sauce. One of the better quality pad thai's that we've had. - Green curry (#23) ($15.50) - green curry was slightly thicker and the coconut milk flavour was more prominent than in the red. Pork was more tender than the chicken too. Really enjoyed the nicely sized chunks of eggplant. - Red curry (#24) ($15.50) - red curry had more of a kick than the green although it was much thinner. Bamboo shoots provided a nice crunchy element. - Spicy eggplant (#29) ($14.50) - the sauce covering the eggplant was addictively good. Eggplant had a fantastic texture. Both visits to SLB resulted in very enjoyable meals. Will be back soon to try a few more offerings.

What a treat! I really enjoyed everything about this place. As soon as we walked in we were asked if we had a reservation. Unfortunately not, but we were seated anyway. Not in the best seats, but it was fine. The air con was blowing directly at us so it was quite cold. We spoke to the server and they immediately helped us move our table back so we were more comfortable. Overall, service was excellent! Seafood Tom Yum fried rice 5/5. Bursting with flavor. Big chunks of chicken and shrimp. T yum flavor really shone through. It's one of their specials so it might be limited time, I'm not sure. Massaman Kai 4.5/5. Chicken was tender, fall off the bone. Sauce was delicious and creamy. However, there were a few pieces of potato that wasn't completely cooked through, but some were perfectly fine so that was only a small miss for us. We only had a little bit leftover but still had to pack it home so none of it would go to waste. Mango sticky rice 5/5 not on their menu but so happy they had it this day. Delicious and the perfect way to end such a wonderful meal. Lots of mango, rice was wonderfully cooked and still warm. 100% coming back again! read more
Our last minute Thai dining decisions led us to Siam Le Bien. Very good food. Ken was a fantastic server who knows about the gluten free entrees offered on their menu. I ordered the red curry with pork for $24.50 and a side of Jasmine rice $3.50 since rice is not included. My meal was just delicious! A clean, comfortable place with classy service. This I my second time here and I'm still impressed by the quality of service and food! The staff is super friendly, Covid compliant and the restaurant is new and the decor bright, clean and welcoming. The dishes are regular Thai sized portions and the flavours are authentic. You can choose different levels of spice but we like all our curries 'Thai' hot! This is the first time in probably 10 yrs that we've had the good fortune of ordering stuffed chicken wings and they were fantastic! Must try them if you've never had them before. We also ordered the pineapple fried rice, green curry and red duck curry which 8 highly recommended. It's very unique and has generous amounts of duck meat but also pineapple chunks and lichee! So so good! The green papaya salad was also very tasty and medium hot was perfect for this fish, any hotter for a salad would be too hot. Are you guys ever skeptical of Yelp reviews? I believe in them, Lol (although many people say Google reviews are more reliable) but I'm biased to Yelp. Haha. I came here today because of the good reviews and I cannot agree more! I just dined by myself today since I was running errands. I ordered the Thai iced tea, pad Thai (lunch combo) and stuffed chicken wings. I loved EVERYTHING! The Thai iced tea was absolutely refreshing. Pad Thai had just the right amount of kick and the stuffed chicken wings were crispy and full of ingredients. I also ordered their curries and mango sticky rice to go. I am so impressed with the food and the service! Would definitely come back and have dinner next time! read more
The dishes are tasty, portions are big for the price, but the service is so sloooooow. I also find it strange that there's no beef option. With their noodles and curry you have the option of chicken/pork/tofu. Also it's a Western Thai restaurant so spicy isn't actually spicy. I ordered pickup on a hot summer day, they told me to come at 7pm but my order wasn't ready until 7:15pm and the restaurant was uncomfortably hot inside. I decided to dine in today and service was poor. Don't ask your server for recommendations because she'll give you a generic reply "very delicious, try it." We wanted to pack 2 dishes and get the bill. It took them 25 min to do this, which left me with a poor impression of the restaurant. read more
Decent Thai place in Burnaby Heights. Parking is available on Hastings as well as some city owned lots around the corner by the fire station. The place looks pretty plain. At least they didn't overdo it with the Thai decorations like many other places around town. The food was decent but low key. I guess it's the Thai equivalent of diner food. Goong grob - 4 prawns wrapped in crunchy dry egg noodles. Pretty tasty. Padi si ew - thick noodles tended to clump together. Nice and flavourful. Yellow curry fish - curry had potato chunks. Fish seemed reasonably fresh and not mushy. Pad ka pao - nice tasty beans. Typical stir fry but with quite a bit of liquid. Nothing really stood out to be honest, but the food was decent. Wouldn't mind coming back at some point. read more

We came here on Sunday afternoon and the lunch rush was still going. We managed to get a table. The service was excellent. I liked how our server prepped our expectations when we ordered that the kitchen was extremely busy and our food may take a while to arrive. She checked with us if it would be ok for the food to be served once it was ready instead of having everything arrived at the same time or appetizer before mains etc. we appreciated that. When the food did take about half an hour to arrive, we were cool with that. Besides dining in, the kitchen was busy with take out orders too. It was quite an endless stream of people coming into pick up the food. I had the the pad kra pao chicken medium spice and it was so good. Spicy enough for me. As it was the lunch special, it also came with spring roll and salad. This was not mentioned on the menu so it was a nice surprise. I also tried the stuffed chicken wing and shrimp cake. Both were equally delicious. My friend had the tom kha gai with coconut rice. That was tasty too. If you like some alcohol with Thai food, you are set here. Besides, beer and wine, cocktails are served here too. The iced Thai milk tea hit the spot too. Now we have another Thai place to go to on a Sunday. Our other go to Thai restaurants are either closed on Sunday or only opened for dinner service. read more

We saw this new Thai restaurant was highly rated on Yelp and Google Review, so we must try their Thai food and see if it was really good or not. First of all, it's easy to find parking on Hastings or the small streets. The entrance got a sign, so it was easy to find the restaurant. I called and preordered the order ahead of time. Once i got to the restaurant, the food was ready for pickup. Customer service was great. A server would ask if we wanted to have plates and forks/chopsticks. We ordered chicken satay, pad Thai with tofu, pad Thai with pork, pad si-ew with pork, traditional Thai salad and Thai fried rice with beef. All of them tasted great and very authentic. The traditional Thai salad had purple or blue vermicelli. The presentation of the salad dish looked interesting but it tasted good. We asked for mild on all the dishes but we didn't taste spicy at all. Both the pricing and portion were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others. I would also like to come back and try other dishes. I ordered everything for takeout. I hope I can dine in the restaurant one day. read more
What a nice surprise!!! First time at this Tai restaurant and honestly it is a delicious hidden gem in Burnaby Heights. The service offered by Nan, is courteous, helpful , diligent , friendly and very profesional. We had a blast with our order of stuffed chicken wings, Som Tum green papaya salad, red duck curry and garlic pepper chicken all accompanied by jasmine rice . They are fully licensed and the portions are generous and prices very affordable. So happy we of been able to visit this delicious culinary tai restaurant. We will come back again, for sure !!!! read more
Food was flavourful. Cashew chicken from lunch menu was good, lunch portion is smaller. They don't give lime with water and only one small price with the food. Busy at lunch hours. I got the pad thai and the mix seafood with the coconut rice. The coconut rice was superb and the pad thai was the best all in vancouver. Trully recommend. Delicious food and friendly staff !! We came in for dinner to try the February special: Khao Soi, it comes with wide egg noodle, light curry broth and a juicy chicken leg. ($15) I like that this dish comes with a light and creamy curry broth and the presentation is beautiful! The crab fried rice was had a delish flavor and fried really well! It looks plain but the dish is packed with flavor ($17) The restaurant has monthly special dishes which is good for customers to try items off the menu We came back for the lunch specials for take out. Ordered Pad Si Ew with tofu, cashew nut chicken, veggie spring rolls, coconut rice & coconut custard dessert Good food quality - fresh & tasty. I was worried about the spiciness, so I ordered mild. Next time I'll try medium. Glad they have the spice level request available when ordering. Had to use SkiptheDishes - arrived well packed & still warm. No AC but they have a ton of fans which really helps love the air around. Red duck curry- oh my gosh. 5/5. The lychee and tomato are the perfect complement. This d a must try Thai iced tea- 5/5. So good. Super intense flavour. Worth the price! Spring rolls-4/5. Not bad. But not great. Nothing to write home about. Wouldn't recommend. Chicken wings- 4/5 crispy but once again. Nothing crazy. The perfect stars here are for the red duck curry. That is their star dish! Would return again for sure. Great authentic Thai place. It gets busy though; came here early at 17:30 and we just missed the rush! read more

We specifically drived here to visit the restaurant cuz I heard this place serves the best Thai food in Burnaby. The shrimp cake is absolutely delicious and I recommend everyone to order this dish as a starter. It is super crispy from outside but the fresh shrimps are so juicy and tender from inside. Green curry is pretty authentic and I luuuuuuuvve their tom yam soup so much, don't miss this if you love spicy food ;) Pretty reasonable price for good quality food. Service is good. read more
One of the best Thai joints in the Heights area! Honestly we are so blessed with all the amazing Thai restaurants and this is just another I'm urging you to visit. The staff are so nice and this place fills up fast. I highly recommend making a reservation as there was a steady line when we had gone and lots of pick up orders. The pad Thai was excellent and I cannot stop raving about the yellow fish curry! Fish fillets in an aromatic yellow sauce - perfection, there are 3 booths on one side of the restaurant (nice and isolated) and tables along the other side of the wall.
