Just ordered delivery from them this weekend, and we were not disappointed! I love their food because it's always consistent and delicious! We had the pad see yui with beef (really good), the pad Thai with shrimp (yum) and the red curry with chicken and all three dishes were great. Portions are good too - 4 of us ate for two days! read more

Food is delicious and the staff are helpful. It's our go to in Surrey! Soups are so good and the pad Thai is tasty! Very cozy place!

I enjoyed their Royal Pad Thai. The noodles have a good chewy texture and the taste delivers equal flavours of sweet and tangy. The staff are approachable and knowledgeable of their menu. I never felt rushed when ordering and exploring options. The ambiance inside the restaurant is casual and dark (but intimate). I appreciate that there are plenty of parking stalls for this business plaza. It is very accessible for commuters too with bus stops right around the corner. read more

I have visited this restaurant several times over a few years. The host did recognize my wife and I. He remembered our last order and asked if we wanted it again.. My wife has the Pad Cashew and chicken and I had the Pad Thai. Both dishes are very good and very consistent. The service was quick. The restaurant is fairly small but we always find a seat. They seem to do a large amount of takeout. read more

Menu is authentic. We have never had a poor experience here. It is a go to for us.

Another awesome dinner with the family here. Expect a party in your mouth with every bite! Suggest ordering share dishes and extra rice to explore the amazing flavours. read more

A few weeks ago I ordered two Pad Thai noodles, one chicken and one beef. I have ordered food several times and have been very pleased with the service, my last experience was not so pleasant. I left a message asking for someone to reach out to me, no one has done that yet. While eating the chicken Pad Thai noodles, I was chewing and swallowing someone's long hair that was not mine. Obviously, whoever was preparing the food did not follow health and safety regulations. A hair net should have been worn to avoid this kind nastiness from taking place. Good hygiene practices need to be the heart and soul of every restaurant. Following up with a customer is important it shows empathy and concern and it builds trust. Not all feedback can be positive at times, but it does allow for improvement amongst the culinary team. read more

Hidden gem it is! We wanted to have Thai but by the time we left we decided not to go far as we were super hungry! Found this place on yelp but almost missed it!! Tom kha soup is fantastic and so is yellow curry. We really enjoyed the chicken with cashews and pineapple fried rice. Service was quick and friendly. Quality and quantity both surpass your expectations. Worth dining in! read more

Came here with some friends after visiting Guildford mall nearby. We ordered spring rolls and satay skewers as appetizers. Both were yummy! I ordered the Royal Pad Thai, which I thoroughly enjoyed. The authentic Tamarind sauce really hit the spot! The service was quick and attentive. I would recommend this place for delicious chomps and good service. read more

Food was great. I had the pad thai and my spouse had the yellow curry; both were fantastic.

I curse myself for choosing my first thai food experience to be one of the best reviewed restaurants in town. Because now no matter where I go I'm always disappointed in the foods lack of flavour. Therefore, on no one's fault but my own, I found the pad thai and red curry at Saba Thai lacking in flavour. The portions were good for the price, but I would prefer quality over quantity. We ordered food for take out, but I noticed the servers were dressed in traditional (I'm assuming?) outfits. I always appreciate dining in restaurants that provide a unique experience so perhaps if I give it another try we will dine in next time. read more

We stopped by for late dinner and just made it before their kitchen closed. Unfortunately, some customers were turned away five minutes after we had placed our order. It was just about 45 minutes before closing. We ordered a number of items: Thai satay skewers, pineapple fried rice and gang sapparod. Food arrived fairly quickly. I noticed they did not have coconut rice as an option. I like the aromatic coconut rice with my curry dishes but the pineapple fried rice was a good substitute. The satay skewers arrived first. The chicken and pork were nicely grilled. The peanut sauce was flavourful and not watered down. The curry and fried rice were a good portion size for the price. There was a decent amount of prawns in the sweet red curry. I like that there were fresh pineapple slices on the fried rice. The staff really wanted to go home that we were not offered a dessert menu. Overall, the food was worth four stars. I was happy we were not turned away. There is parking behind the building and the restaurant accepts credit card payment. read more

Came here on the way to Whistler on a Friday night based on the good Yelp review, although I was slightly disappointed with the menu and our waitress wasn't very friendly, but the food was fantastic! About our waitress, she was kind of smiling till you asked questions and you could almost see her roll her eyes.....but still kept smiling. But half way through the dinner, we had to ask for chopsticks, then we asked another waitress because ours was not there, this other waitress was actually nice and friendly, so I guess we were just unlucky. The place was half full when we went and got busier throughout the differ, the food came out pretty good and they were delicious, we had papaya salad, tom yum soup, green curry, shrimp and pineapple red curry. All of them were delicious. I am glad we came here but I am not sure if I'd return again given the service and limited menu selection. read more

Went to this restaurant for lunch while visiting Vancouver. The food was okay nothing special. The service was good.

Went here with a coupon from the entertainment book Ordered lettuce wraps. They were delicious with a nice spice level and a large portion. Also had cashew chicken extra spicy and yellow chicken curry with rice for two. The portion sizes were large and the flavones were perfect. Only problem is the price. Cashew chicken was $15 plus $2.50 for rice that's almost 18 dollars for one dish. I can go to Sandar's Thai Garden and get the same dish for $12 Will probably go back but not as often considering Sandar's is cheaper and close by. read more

Best Authentic Pad Thai I have ever had! The server gave us a few recommendations and ALL were delicious, including the Papaya salad. We dined in but because they were all so delicious, we ordered the same dishes to go! Love the traditional vibe of the restaurant as well. Staff were kind and attentive. If you love Thai food or just a yummy Pad Thai, definitely recommend coming here! read more

Food is amazing n the owners are so sweet. My family and I have been coming here for years and it's our favourite Thai restaurant. We would come here for birthdays, special events, and whenever we would miss their amazing food. read more

One of the best thai foods ive had in a while! Would recommend! Seats are a bit uncomfortable though but could manage.

I came here for lunch for 6 people. I liked the service (smiles, attentive, and prompt), food quality is good, but the number of meat portion is smaller. The price is just right for me, but others may find it pricey due to smaller meat ratio. My favorite dishes are the 4 piece Thai satay skewers appetizer(option to double order for almost half the price). The Royal Pad Thai was my favorite one, it has the semi chewy texture I likr, good flavors, heat and loads of nut; it could use more meat portion to make it perfect. Also the Thai ice tea is recommended too. read more

Discovered this restaurant almost 20 years ago and has since been our favourite place to go for Thai food! The staff are very attentive and friendly. The food comes out quick... sometimes too quick... but is always amazing!! Portions are fair, but noticeably smaller since COVID, but pricing hasn't changed much. read more

Food is always great here. Always get the Sabai Thai Pad Thai. Haven't tried everything yet, but everything I have tried has been very good. Dine in is cozy, take out is easy! Highly recommended read more

I'm sure there are plenty of good restaurants in Surrey... I just don't have the need or desire to spend much time in the area. Well, we found ourselves in a 2 hour lineup for a book signing near Guildford one Saturday and decided to get some food in the area afterwards. That's how we ended up at Sabai Thai. As the name suggests, Sabai Thai is a Thai restaurant and it's located at the corner of 104 Ave and 150 Street, right next to Guildford Town Centre. This restaurant is fairly small and the tables are cramped. As it was a Saturday night, the restaurant was pretty full except for a few tables near the windows. Unfortunately, these seats weren't that comfortable as they were extremely deep and low making it difficult to eat at the equally short table. We were a bit worried that they wouldn't be able to fit all of our dishes on our table but we somehow managed to squeeze everything in. We stuck with a few classic dishes including the Pad Thai ($16) made with prawns, tofu, green onions, and crunchy bean sprouts and ground peanuts. The Green Curry Chicken ($16) arrived with a particularly intense hue of green (similar to the one I had at Thai Box 2Go). It was fairly good with a light heat level and a creamy coconut milk sauce mixed with green curry paste (which no doubt was the reason for the green colour). Eggplant, peppers, sweet basil and peas round out this dish. Last up was the Deep Fried Whole Tilapia ($18) served with peppers, sweet basil, and a spicy sauce. There's not a whole lot of meat on this fish but I liked the spicy sauce. Overall, the food was fairly good (mainly catering to the western palate) but the service was quite lacking (I suppose that was because they didn't have enough servers working). read more

My favorite thing to order is the green curry with so much developed flavour. Portions are excellent and so are the staff.

Pretty good but a little pricey, I would recommend the place, nice decor, foods fresh

Great Thai food. Generous portions. Our go to place for Thai. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good parking at the back.

We ordered two dishes and spring rolls. The lady on the phone told us the one entree size was a large portion and so was the rice. This was not the case. $50 take out order that was told was a good size meal for 4 people fed two. The value for your money is just not there. There was half a chicken Breast in one dish and only 3 prawns in the $16 pad Thai. Will never order or visit this restaurant again. When we called we were told too bad! Thanks for the two appetizer size meals for $47.95! read more

Decided to come here on a impromptu trip to Gilford mall. Instead of going for mall food we found this place instead. Started with pork satay skewers which is a nice change from most places always serving chicken. They were good, between the two of us they were gone in record time. Had the red curry with beef aside with pork and bamboo stirfty and both of these were delicious. Overall I really enjoyed the food and the service was fast and friendly. The one downside is the price, this place is a little on the high end of the scale. Price is really the only thing that would get in the way of a 5 star rating. Also if you are in to iced tea do give their Thai iced tea a try. I'm not a fan of iced tea but even I enjoyed it. read more

Lovely food, good portions. The service is quick and will make suggestions. The ambiance is a little dim but the food is amazing.

Meh. Got red curry and spring rolls. Asked for extra spicy but received Mild. Received a decent amount of curry, which was good. The curry tasted alright but super disappointed in the spring rolls. Every bite had a dry glass noodle in it that tasted like a toothpick. Thai by Thai on Scott Rd still holds the title for best Thai food in surrey. read more

Pros : - Food is fantastic, this resto definitely offers unique and flavorful food - Good lunch specials Cons: - Similar to what many other reviewers have stated, this resto is Far more expensive than it needs to be, especially for a restaurant in Surrey, if you try a little customers can definitely find a thai/malaysian restaurant for equal value at a much cheaper price in New West/Surrey. - Website menu prices are very inaccurate! read more

Sabai Thai Restaurant - Lunch Specials - Thai Near Me - Surrey, British Columbia

In terms of my expectations here of Thai resto, my very 1st one in Surrey, I'd say it does compete with the DT ones, yet I had expected better value. Meaning that with the overhead here a lot less than Vancouver, but surprisingly, the entrees still averaged around the $16-17 mark. Having said that, the food's yummy and authentic. Ordered the same boring (why change lol) green curry chicken, and distinct colour, almost like a lime green as opposed to yellow/green creamier colour. Impressed with the red & yellow peppers as some places just use the cheaper green ones. Yummy too, and even the medium spice had some kick to it. Don't worry I can handle a lot more lol. The pad thai also pretty good, lots of prawns, tofu, and egg; noodles done nicely with a yummy tomato flavour. Now, this was a big portion, enough for lunch next day. Interesting note is the Princess of Thailand was here, and the consulate orders from here, so that's a good sign ;) read more

One of the expensive restaurants with nothing speacial to offer. I mean the interior is not very outstanding, food is regular thai food n so i didnt understand high price dishes. Maybe the traditional costumes for servers make the price go up.lol . Jokes apart, i didnt like the place compared to the prices. Over all it has decent seating space. Little visible bar with no bar counter. Servers are dressed in traditional costume and keep a smile on their faces. One of the server was litle upset with us coz we didn't mention no egg for our vegetarian fried rice. Really?? I mean... well I apologized n carried on with my dinner. Food tasted nice. We ordered regular rice with red curry. I was again disappointed with the spring rolls. Frozen ones fried n served. I mean if you are charging $10 for 5 little pieces of spring rolls then atleast make them fresh n little big in size. The location is right opposite of guildford mall but the parking is behind the building. I know other pocket friendly thai food places to go for next time. read more

I'll stick for now with the $12 special for lunch during the week. I'm glad they have this and I may buy something else from time to time. As I already said, they make great curry. I ordered red thai curry with chicken, stir fried prawns with cashews and rice. The stir fried prawns with cashews was good. The portion sizes have gone much smaller. The red thai curry was watery, hardly any chicken and too much fish sauce and coconut oil. The rice did not taste like jasmine rice, it tasted oily as if coconut oil was added to it. read more
