The food was very tasty. The owner knows how to speak Cantonese as well to my surprise. The shop is a mom and pop store family ran. I have noticed that they even offer bathroom to the public not just to their customer. All the dishes were very tasty. The only complain I had was their chicken satay skewer didn't have enough satay peanut sauce and that the satay peanut sauce didn't have enough peanut taste to it. Other than that, I enjoyed every dish. Free parking is available out front.

The fried rice was mushy, the pad thai was bland and forgettable, and the Thai basil chicken was way off -- overloaded with veggies, barely any basil, and absolutely no spice even though we asked for spicy. Horrible. Ordered…read morevia Uber Eats. It was quick but sometimes that's a red flag in itself. We are at a hotel. They didn't send any cutlery or napkins which is just common sense. Next there was no soya sauce. And worst of all - NO RICE ! My husband had to go to a restaurant close by to get a side of rice and some soya sauce. After paying over 70$ this is unacceptable. All this aside, we were hoping the food would be good. Our order was Beef Thai Salad, Ginger Beef, Green Curry with Chicken & Satay Chicken Skewers. They also had a promo for 4 Free Spring Rolls with a 40$ purchase, they turned out to be the only thing edible. I had asked for no onions (huge allergies) and not too spicy. The beef salad had no onions, but also zero flavour on the beef. The lettuce had some lime but not any flavour. It was a few cucumbers and lots of bland unseasoned beef. Is super hot chili flakes the only option here ? It looked like the beef should of been really good, but it was like they had washed the beef off completely of anything. The chicken skewers were big but they seemed to be really fatty with gristle - the meat wasn't certainly chicken breast. Even the peanut sauce seemed off. I ate a few bites and spit it out. The ginger beef was a large order. They sent the sauce on the side. Again the meat was super low quality. Lots of gristle etc. Couldn't eat it. My husband didnt mind his green curry, but was less than thrilled about it not coming with any rice !! It too was of poor meat quality. It all smelled quite bad . All in all was so very disappointed . Would never order from here nor recommend. Huge waste of money.

This place expands my knowledge base of Thai dishes. Brian broke out from his parents' famous…read moreVancouver restaurant to branch out with his own tastes of Thai cuisine, making his theme "Thai street food". Don't look for chicken satays here - he's sick and tired of a lifetime of grilling these for customers. Yeah, for him, it's the pork. And ho boy, does he grill it well. Some dishes are 3 styles of pork, and I keep getting his pork jowls: the most buttery, soft pillowy grilled pork I've had in ages. But back to the street food part - it's more the vibe of the place: down-to-earth, 90's pop culture posters and Thai toys, a VHS player showing non-stop clamshell family movies (the other screen shows 90's and noughts' comedies and action movies pointed at the bar end of the kitchen). Sure, Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles, along with your Green, Yellow and Massamun curries abound on the menu, and they're all big portions bursting with flavour, but here's what I go for: The specials. Oh, they've showcased lemongrass fried rice, lard na, clam pancakes, ohhhh... most of the time (and we go almost once a week) these are all I order and I skip the regular menu. And the cocktails! Jerry has a lineup of such unique drinks that I just cycle through the menu, trying a different one each visit. She keeps tweaking the recipes until she's got each a perfect concoction before we even see it on the menu - I keep asking her what she's working on each time I'm there and she fills me in on her latest liquid experiment. Service is great - Nancy and team are all so friendly, they know when to leave you to enjoy and when to stop by and chat. It's a cozy, social place where the wok's always fired up and just makes me smile to be there every time I go with friends or family.
