I ordered their lunch special "SET Vegan" ($20), which comes with a tofu pad thai, tofu yellow curry, and steamed rice. You pick your spice level--I chose Thai spicy. The food came out in about 10 minutes. The pad thai was top-notch--balanced flavours, adequate richness--with plenty of puffed tofu (rather than the usual thin strips of firm tofu as per the classic dish). The yellow curry was solid, coming with mixed veggies and puffed tofu, but only moderate flavour complexity. Neither was all that spicy but still had a nice kick. For $20, the value was great--lots of food and good quality. Really nice spot, extremely vegan-friendly, fast and good service, and good value. Very much recommended.

The lovely lady who runs it was incredibly sweet and mentioned that they'll be celebrating 10 years since opening later this year! We started with the crystal tapioca pork balls, which were delicious on their own and even better wrapped. The Lad Nah was another highlight, great aroma and flavourful gravy. We opted for the lowest level 1 spice and it added a surprising depth to the dish without being overpowering for us. It was the kind of subtle heat that keeps you going back for another bite. Khob Khun Thai definitely fits the spread for 'hole in the wall' and 'mom and pop' restaurant with welcoming service and genuinely delicious foods. We'd love to visit again to try more of the menu.

I phoned in the order for pick-up (vegetarian roti without egg; $18.95 plus tax) and it was ready 15 minutes later. The kotthu was well-made, with plenty of curry leaves and a nice array of spices, without being too spicy. There were plenty of veggies (cabbage, onion, okra, green beans, carrot, and cauliflower), and plenty of shredded roti of course. I'd say it lacked a little salt but that's better than being over-salted. The portion was very large and filling. Far from the best vegan kotthu I've had but it's such a rare dish to find that I appreciated this very much. I would definitely return. Recommended.

Great that they have a lunch special and (not surprisingly) I opted for the chicken and cashew nut minus onions. The presentation was nice with the rice, salad and something called a crispy wrap. We ordered from the Noodle House through one of the delivery services recently. We were able to…read morereceive free delivery if our order was a certain amount. The restaurant served Thai and Vietnamese cuisine so I ordered chicken pad thai, fresh rolls with pork sausage and chicken satay. I asked (through the web site) to make the pad thai spicy (In a scale of 1 to 5 and '5' is Thai spicy then I wanted mine a '4') and they complied. Except they used Sriracha and the sauce is yellow (I'm used to a more brown or red sauce). I was also missing the tanginess of the tamarind and, the noodles were too soft. The chicken was tough and didn't taste like much. As for the appys, I've never had a fresh roll with pork sausage and I'm not sure if I'll have it again. The sausage was dry, tough and didn't have that sweet, unctuous flavour I like. Also, it needs more cilantro. The chicken satay fared better. It wasn't dry and the peanut sauce was nicely spiced. I will probably not order from here again.
