Finding a good shawarma it hard to find one you have to travel to Glendale or the San Fernando Valley to get a good Shawarma. I notice going to the Dollar Tree to shop a new restaurant just open it's a shawarma store called the Shwrma co in Montebello. My wife and I went to the shawarma we enjoy Mediterranean including shawarma, we step in the restaurant this a unique place I know shawarma always serve on pita bread but your choice of sub bread and lavash flat bread. We looking at the menu display and decided to we order the Chicken shawarma combo on Lavash bread it come with Mediterranean side salad. We sat down and waited for our order then the owner came and bring us complimentary toasted bread and hummus we thank him. We try the hummus it was really good fresh we enjoy very much and we spead the hummus on toasted bread it good. They brought our meal it so good especially the shawarma it have a nice grilled line on the lavish bread and the salad looks good. The chicken shawarma have a good rich flavor that we like from a good shawarma and Lavash bread was perfectly grilled thar seal the flavor. The salad was really good we enjoy it. This place just opened. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their hummus, chicken sandwich, and beef lavash to try. The hummus came with some bread and was really smooth, rich, slightly nutty, and lemony. The chicken sandwich reminded me of a Banh mi with that bread and had tender juicy roasty chicken with fresh crunchy veggies and a yogurty like sauce. The beef lavash also had some veggies with meat but this time in a tomatoey slightly spicy sauce. Shwrma Co. is brand new and serving up fresh shawarma, both beef/lamb and chicken, cooked on a vertical spit--the proper way! I tried the chicken shawarma and it was flavorful, fresh, and seasoned really well without being overly salty. The veggies and hummus were fresh too, and everything tasted like it was just prepared. The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming. I definitely need to come back and try the shawarma sandwiches and wraps because they looked so good. Inside has a chill, clean vibe. The menu is very vague, it doesn't give you full details about what is in the food. I inquired about the kebab plate, but they didn't have any kebabs to sell. I asked what type of beef was in the lavash, they couldn't tell me. So I gambled and ordered 3 shawarma lavash. As I am waiting I overheard the cashier explain to another customer about not having kebabs. The cashier said their grill didn't pass inspection. I found that a bit odd. I live 3 minutes away. The food was barely warm especially if I waited 17 minutes for it. The quality of the meat is not what I expected. I've had shawarma several times at various restaurants, this isn't it. This was more like a fatty low quality meat that was tough. My total with tip was $60.17. Not worth it in my opinion. read more

Visited around 4:30pm while waiting for a suit to be tailored nearby. My son wanted a snack before dinner. He ordered the pork Shwrma combo and I ordered the chicken Shwrma. Both were very good. My son's order came with hummus and toasted bread. The hummus with bread was excellent. The manager also gave us a free sample of the salad. It was also very good.
