    Cauliflower nachos $9
    Joe E.

I was excited to find this place on Yelp while exploring Monrovia. Needed a beer after a hike to Monrovia Falls. And to make things better, their menu said "weekend" happy hour. God bless! Unfortunately, that was an old menu shot on Yelp. They didn't have weekend happy hour anymore. And their pints are either $8 or $9 no matter the abv, so you can't even getting a cheap blonde beer if you wanted to skip the pricy IPAs. The food is pricy too. We ordered Cauliflower nachos for $9 and were served some fried cauliflower with a little bit of cheese sauce and some toppings on a salad plate. Not even a regular plate. A salad plate. When I think nachos, I think platters. Just did not feel like I got my money's worth. The waitress was nice and let us try a few beers before buying. She left mid snack and another person took over. She helped a fellow Whole Foods employee, who had just finished her shift, taste her way through the taps. I think food service is different than grocery service, and it could be hit or miss depending on who's behind the bar. We came with high hopes and left with only nopes. Great concept. Great beer selection. Poor execution. Plan on visiting during happy hour or bring your piggy bank.

Today's special 8 wings with draft beer.

Fun atmosphere we can play shuffle. The have 5 TV's which makes it an ideal sports bar...specials on Tuesday and Thursdays but the game beer wings or flatbread for $10 Better burger - 100% pasture raised beef and half umami mushrooms. A surprising and wonderful combination. My only complaint is that the buns are a bit Thick for the burger. The fries are excellent! I look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.

New restaurant bar located at Whole Foods in Pasadena off Foothill (same plaza as Vroman's Bookstore and Einstein Bagel's). My husband and I decided to grab lunch here last Sunday afternoon around 1 pm. This place is small but had quite a few tables inside (and out) to choose from. But we opted to sit at the bar. We were acknowledged by the bartender and given menus. After browsing through it, we ended up ordering: (Currently on Thursdays and Sundays you can get a beer and an order or wings or an order of any of their flatbreads for only a mere $10) Fig & Prosciutto Flat Bread Pizza- (Normally $12 prior to tax)- A good size for sharing with another person. Thought the flatbread had a nice savory, yet sweet taste. But it also had bleu cheese on it, which I am not quite a fan of. Golden Road Hefeweizen (Normally $6 prior to tax)- A smooth beer, according to my husband. I am not a beer drinker so I didn't have any. He liked his beer. Char- Roasted Brussels Sprouts, $6 prior to tax- The amount you get for the price is pretty good and excellent for sharing. I thought it was a nice surprise to find pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries in this side dish. This also comes with bacon, but I asked for it to be on the side (which my husband added to his burger). The garlic aioli was nice, wished there a little more added side for additional dipping. The Brussels sprouts itself was tender. Lamb Burger, $10 prior to tax- My husband ordered this medium. It came with a nice size side salad. The dressing wasn't overly dressed and happy that it was made with the dark green leafys. The burger itself was tender and a great size. But both my husband and I wished the bun itself was a little smaller or a little less bread like (if that makes sense). We both did like that there was pepper on top of the bun though. Tiger Roll, (4 pieces) $7 prior to tax- For any of the rolls, you have the option of having it made with white or brown rice. Being the health conscious person, I opted for brown. I was a little disappointed that for the price I paid, it came with only 4 small pieces. But it was good. This dish would be better if it was charged at $5 instead of $7. --------------------------- (Total= $35.97 after tax, prior to tip) The bartender who served us was great at refilling our water glasses and taking away our dirty dishes. She was efficient. Food was great and service was also great. There are daily specials that I definitely would like to check out in the future. Will come back for sure. And real random, but being that this place is called Shuffle Bar, there is a shuffle board here in the middle of the bar/ restaurant. No one was playing but I am sure you could the next time you come by.

Dig this place! They have 24 great beers on tap! Most of them craft beer :) They have a cool Monday-Friday special. I know on Friday it's Fish and Chips (fries) and they let you choose your pint of beer for free. That pretty cool!

    This appetizer is fantastic!

This place has great weekly deals and the kitchen is quick to push out food. This appetizer is fantastic! For a couple bucks, you get a huge delicious bowl of olives that are WARM! Never thought warm olives would be good, but they are great!

Everything here is delicious! It's inside the grocery store which is odd but whatever it's good. They have so many delicious choices and really good food. We always get whatever they're known for or the specialty when we try a place for the first time. We got the burger and a beer It's clean, trendy and fair priced.

Definitely a place you come to in yoga pants. Definitely stay away if you don't have time to kill on a lazy day (because the service here is slow as hell). Didn't think I'd find a bar at Whole Foods. Was trying to be healthy and really wasn't trying to surround myself with alcohol that day but I found myself walking into a bar.. at Whole foods LOL. Really like the concept! This place is neat. Came here on a Sunday afternoon to just chill and grub on something healthy. I love Whole Foods so the thought of this new cafe inside the market was intriguing. They had football on that day! They also had alot of draft beers and a variety of craft beers which is awesome. So the vibe really is a bar/gastropub-esqe, which is great. The food here is BOMBBB and KIND OF healthy!!! Everything tasted so fresh. I assume it's because they use the produce straight out of the WF market. Between two people, we shared the (1) Pesto shrimp flat bread; (2) Citrus avocado salad; (3) Derby fries. The flatbread was BOMB and crispy. The citrus avocado salad was refreshing and delightful, topped with grapefruit slices and crushed pistachios. The derby fries (fries mixed with avocado aoili) were pretty good! So if you don't have time to afford to wait. Stay away. Because you're gonna get impatient because service here is SO SLOW. Slow to get seated, get a server to come to our table to get us menus, to take our orders, to get our food out, etc. I can't describe it anything else but SLOW. Service really needs to step their game up because it was terrible lol. Customer service just didn't seem like a priority. Like I said, don't come here if you don't have the patience to wait. Also, our order of derby fries never came out. When we asked for it, the server said they're re-making it because it looked "ugly." In reality, I think they just forgot to make it LOL. But props for a creative excuse. We got it on the house so that's cool. I would come again because the food is pretty tasty and felt guilt-free. Not a bad kick it spot. But this is a fair warning: don't expect a lot from service. Like I said, come in yoga pants.

So recently meeting with my person (like yesterday) he suggested the Shuffle Bar located inside Whole Foods. I love getting our weekly HH with him so I'm always down to try his new picks. Leaving from work in Alhambra, it's a relatively quick drive up to Pasadena. Parking plentiful, except for almost getting run over by a vehicle, I made it alive to try this place. I arrived around 5:30 pm, my person was probably there a few minutes before me and was there at the table. We looked through the HH menu and I have to say (my opinion) it didn't seem like there were tons of food choices to choose from. I really should have ordered the burger but it was my mistake. I wanted nachos but it was vegetarian (nothing wrong but really, I want my meat!) so I got the Poutine fries instead. My person got the quesadilla. I ordered the house white wine which was Chardonnay and he got a flight. Ordering in a timely fashion, I eventually had to check on my order because it didn't come out for about another 30 minutes give or take and every other patron before and after us all had their food. At least I had my drink! Now, I have to say, kudos to the staff here because one of them did come back and comp our meal (not drinks) because she did acknowledge that even to her, our meal was taking abnormally long to come out. I do appreciate that. I still wish I went with the burger. The Poutine fries were ok and the quesadilla was just alright. I think in order to really know if this place is good is to try food from the non happy hour selection. Overall, it was an ok happy hour meal but staff were great.

Hello everyone who is interested in knowing about the shuffle bar. This place is Low key, awesomely fresh food made to order that carries a variety of great beers on tap and also in bottles. It's never too pack which is good . They offer a few TVs if you in the mood to eat well and watch some sports while kicking back. The location is quit but yet very nice. I mean we're in the heart of Pasadena, how much better can it get. The staff are all nice, I'm a regular here so I'm known and they are my friends so make sure you drop my name! extra special treatment . Naw JK. Things to try that I love, -Rainbow Roll -The Wings- bbq and buffalo are both awesome -The Calamari -The Pub Burger -All The Salads But feel free to try anything you want. Just wanted to drop some shuffle knowledge on ya'llllllllll....

tl;dr: -Great beer selection at affordable price -Special menu items vary by day (i.e. 3 tacos+beer for $10) -Shuffleboard available to play for free - just need to leave an ID PARKING: Shared lot. Can get a bit crazy on weekends. FOOD: -Tacos: Generous protein serving (choice of beef, chicken, or vegetarian). They're served on corn tortillas with two salsas on the side. Salsa portion was a bit small, but I'm sure you can ask for more if needed. BEER: Surprising variety (hello hell or high watermelon and grapefruit sculpin), but then again, they are in a Whole Foods :) SERVICE: Always friendly. Food service can be slow at times, but they're always prompt with initial drink orders! Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. It's the perfect "screw cooking let's just go out" type of dinner place.

When we walked in, there was a tall, bald male bartender and a blonde female bartender working--neither of whom I've seen here before. We ordered two drinks, but the service from the male bartender was inattentive from the start. At one point, my friend tried to get someone's attention to ask for a lime and wasn't acknowledged. She ended up grabbing a lime herself from the garnish tray--which I understand isn't ideal--but the response we got was completely out of line. The male bartender became immediately hostile and started aggressively cursing at my friend. When I calmly asked the female bartender if this was normal behavior, he inserted himself into the conversation and said, "she put her fucking hand in the fucking jar," in a very confrontational tone. I tried to de-escalate the situation and respectfully explained that there was no reason to speak to us that way, but he continued the hostility and ultimately told us to "get the fuck out." At that point, I paid for our drinks and we left. What made this especially disappointing is that this has never been our experience here before. We've always enjoyed this bar and have had positive interactions with the regular staff. If this had been my first visit, I would not come back. I understand that what my friend did wasn't appropriate, but it absolutely did not justify being yelled at and cursed out. I hope management addresses this, because this kind of behavior is not reflective of the bar I've come to know.

I came in to try a 2016 Imperial Russian Stout I saw they had tapped and ended up trying taster size portions of 6 beers - all very solid.
