One of the worst fish n chips I have had. The fish was served drenched in the frying oil. The color of the oil was a bit dark so don't know how long that's been sitting in the frying pan. The fish was cooked but not the batter so I'm thinking they probably cooked the fish first and then dip in batter and fry. The fish was bland and tasteless. The fries where good, crispy and light. I've been eagerly awaiting the opening of this eatery, being a fan of 110 & Bellevue in the Arroyo store( and not a fan of the 210 traffic). I am pleased that the menu is quite similar. I'm not too thrilled with the ambiance, though. I am puzzled as to why they thought using the shuffle board theme was a good idea. You used to see these in bars back in the 90's, but does anyone really play this anymore? The thing just takes up space that could be used for seating. They have a great beer selection, but the wine list is not as good as at 110 & B. Wines are only served by the glass. The waitress let me go into the store to buy a bottle to bring in, but that was a bit inconvenient. I hope this issue gets fixed. read more

Stop by here today unexpectedly and I ordered a bison burger with a side of fries and a glass of water with lemon. The bison burger was pretty oily and Messy, but it was super delicious and the fries were crispy not soggy at all everything came out to $13 plus tax which isn't bad for what it was. I will not be ordering this bison burger can not that it was bad, just wasn't my taste. I did notice a shuffleboard but did not see anybody playing I think it'll be a fun time to come here at night and see how others play. I highly do recommend their blood orange beer is it is to die for it is so smooth only 7% alcohol and I did not even taste the alcohol it was just a really good smooth flavor tasting drink. Omg this place is great! Tucked in a small corner of the whole foods, open your eyes or you might miss it. There's shuffle board in there and a TON of beers on tap. I ordered the Mushroom Flatbread Pizza which was absolutely delicious and a Blood Orange Beer which was very good and sweet at the same time. By far one of our new favorite places. Yes it's in the market but we love it. The derby fries I just want to go back for those. Great selection of beer and wine as well. Okay...so don't look at the four stars and say to yourself, "Maaaaannnn, he's just trying to put that place on the map" or "What is he thinking? It's in a goddamn Whole Foods in East Pas!"...but what the four star rating denotes is the fact that it's a solid little spot with good craft brews on tap, it has a more than adequate selection of pub food, has employed a good wait staff, and lastly, has a very knowledgable (and personable!) bartender. Their daily food specials are on par, if not better, than most local bars in the area, and you can have at it on their custom built shuffleboard table if you like. The Shuffle Bar gets four out of five stars because it hasn't quite established itself, but once it does, look out. Because for being nestled in a market that low-key overcharges people, here, you pretty much get what you pay for. read more

My wife and I decided to try the place our. She orders a glass of wine and the glass has residual lip stick on it. We show a server the glass and ask for a new one. He replies no problem and comes back with the wine, but when we look at the glass, we notice the top of the glass is the only part missing condensation and that he just wiped it off with a towel or napkin. I've been in California for about a year now and I still haven't found a red wine that I like. I've done tons of research on red wines and places to wine taste but I just can't bring myself to spend a fortune tasting them. Even if I had found a wine that I enjoyed at the winery I probably wouldn't be able to find it at my local grocery store. On top of that, every bottle I purchase at the grocery store just ends up collecting dust because I can't justify throwing them out... but I can't choke them down either. With that, yesterday I came across this little hole in the wall bar. The best part being that all of the wine they pour is located in the store! 4 2oz samples (of your choice!!) how could you go wrong, right? When I arrived an hour before closing (most bartenders would hate me) the super sweet bartender asked what I was in for. I explained everything and she was nothing but helpful. She asked me what I liked and she gave me a small taste of 8 different reds! What a sweet heart! I then got a flight of 4 2oz reds that I chose out of the ones she let me sample. I was finally able to find a red wine that I liked out of the four! And a couple different ones just in case they're out for some reason. Now I can go to Whole Foods, pick up dinner and grab a reasonably priced wine to enjoy every so often! I'm so thankful for the help I receive there. Came to try out this place on a rainy afternoon, most of the tables were filled up but there was only one peron waiting tables. I had the fish n chips and my boyfriend had a chicken sandwich. It took about 35 minutes for us to get our food. My fish and chips was just ok, the fish was mostly batter and really hard. We had lunch here today. I got the Fish and Chips for $10. The wife got two sushi rolls and the daughter got Mac and cheese. The food was good, my fries were excellent, and the service is top notch.
