I've never gone to a local tech repair shop before, only the Apple Store, but I knew they would not be able to fit me in as a walk up and they would either overcharge me or not even care for my laptop with water damage. In my mind I was expecting to take the L on the laptop, but I called B4Computers to see if I had to call ahead to make an appointment to come in. He said no, tell me what happened. I explained to him my situation, he told me to drop it off at the Brooklyn location and that it will be $250 straight to take apart my laptop and dry out the parts (which I accepted because I didn't know how to break down my laptop myself). He was also very friendly and kind on the phone, and I appreciate him giving it to me straight how much it would cost. He called me at the end of the day saying that my laptop was salvageable!! When I went to pick up my laptop (on the same day which I did not expect), he gave me great nuggets of wisdom on how to care for my laptop and what to look out for in case a shortage or something serious happened as a result. He was even kind enough to send me a link to a screen replacement part that I may need if my screen starts flickering, which was really nice because he took the time to do the research for me and I could trust him. Overall, incredible service. So nice and knowledgeable, gave it to me straight and wasn't sketchy about price or anything, and super responsive.
