As a single, sole business owner juggling multiple hats, the amount of chasing down that seemed required was not in my bandwidth. I only again heard from Mike as I was dropping the unit off at an alternative repair service. Mike sure sounds like he knows what he's doing. His business communication and organization skills could use some work. Be prepared to do more chasing than usual.

When I told him I was hoping for a 1-day to 1 weekend turnaround. He said that I shouldn't worry about the turnaround time of a day or a weekends length since the MacBook had been broken for months anyway. He said I was being "ridiculous" in the most pompous tone he could muster. When I tried to explain that the SAME signs and issues had occurred a year and a half before and was fixed within 1.5 hrs at the Apple Genius Bar or that other techs had listened to me thoroughly and come to similar conclusions that it was in fact the operating system and could be handled within a day. He proceeded to say "Anyway!!!" in a very loud tone (I pulled the phone from my ear at that point) while I was talking, rudely interrupting me and then changing the subject. I looked down at my phone flabbergasted. I do not understand why Jed would think a new customer would EVER continue to use his services with an attitude like that. I disconnected the phone immediately. It lasted a mere 2 minutes!!! Whether my computer could be fixed in a day or a weekend or even a week, I'm open to it all, as long as the end result is a functioning MacBook. He didn't get a chance to know that because he was being obnoxious and unprofessional. As an elite yelper, I do my best to be as detailed and honest as possible. From my experience, I wouldn't even bother with paying for his services, customer service is of TOP PRIORITY and the way he spoke to me (in a mere 2 min phone call at that) was enough to make me disconnect the phone call right away. I've been in contact with a few techs (requesting estimated quotes and turn around times) and this was the ONLY negative incident. I'm still shaking my head at him calling me "ridiculous"!! The purpose of the phone call was to be consulted and informed. NOT disrespected and dismissed. I'm sure there will be a reply from this person. Not sure how they'll try to defend being so rude, but I'm sure an attempt will be made. Please feel free to message me privately for facts and truth.

They were amazing. They evaluated my current system, which is also integrated into an AV system, wrote up a proposal which I accepted. The system they installed is amazing. I have never had as good a WiFi system in terms of strength of signal, speed and reliability. As important, this Smart Start does what they say they will do without any surprises. They call when they say they will call, show up for appointments on time and really back up their services. In my case there has been nothing to do, since their system is working perfectly, but Smart Start Network has followed up a couple of times in the first 30 days after installation to make sure I was 100% satisfied. If you have a WiFi system you want installed, or have an existing system you would like upgraded I would highly recommend Smart Start Network. Lastly, Phil was the senior technician on my job and was phenomenal. Gina works in the office and is fantastic as well. This is my first Yelp review.
