My Computer Tech is a business I found in Yelp while I was drinking my coffee this morning. I…read morekilled enough time so I would arrive at the business when they were open. There wasn't anyone there and I thought at first I was supposed to buzz to be let inside. Then I realized by reading the sign it's a buzzer for delivery people. Duh Marianne! I decided to walk over to Best Buy and talk to the Geek Squad. Flash Forward to 11am after an unsuccessful attempt two other places, I decided to stop again on my way home. Alas there's no one there again. The second visit I took a photo of the dark inside door! I'm very disappointed that this place doesn't have the hours advertised yet there's a sign out front offering free estimates. I'm not wasting any more time here.

My Lenovo Yoga 710 has been having screen issues for the past 6 to 8 months. After several attempts…read morecontacting Lenovo support they were completely useless and unhelpful. All they said was "unfortunately your warranty expired" etc. I bought my Yoga 18 months ago and the screen problem appeared after the warranty expired. The Laptop became inoperable. Its unbelievable that a company like Lenovo will sell a faulty device and wash there hands with the warranty-policy bullshit. Anyways, they recommended me going to GeekSquad to get it fix. After looking them up on Google, Yelp and Consumer Affairs they have a 1 Star rating....yeah...thanks Lenovo for trying to screw me once again you POS. Anyways, I looked online for places nearby to get my laptop fixed and found Supamodz. I was very skeptic at the beginning about bringing my laptop to a small shop like this, however, Steven was extremely nice, humble and knowledgeable. He found the issue with the screen flickering was a fabrication glitch on the way the LCD cable was installed. He got that fixed in just 2 days at a very good price. My Laptop has not shown ANY SIGNS of flickering or the screen shutting down. He did a great job. Better yet, I did not had to bring my laptop to GeekSquad and go through their apparently HORRIBLE customer service robots. As per LENOVO I will never buy one of their products again.

It kept shutting down. No amount of at home troubleshooting was working for me. Optech Solutions is in my neighborhood. I had never been inside previously but noticed the sign that said they fix phones, computers, etc. I was greeted by Stefano & Simon a father and son team. They were friendly, attentive and very knowledgable about my MacBook. I left it with them with crossed fingers knowing that it was an older model. I received a call from Stefano later that evening and learn that my motherboard was partially fried from overheating (I noticed my Macbook would get super hot while I was using it but didn't think anything of this). Stefano said that he would do his absolute best in replace the motherboard but there would be no guarantee of it functioning because of how delicate the process is. I kept my fingers crossed and wiped away tears! I dropped my MacBook Pro off on Sunday and the next day on Monday I had gotten a text from Stefano that said he was successful!!!!! He was able to not only replace my motherboard but upgrade the hard drive from HDD to SSD which would greatly improve the performance. You have no idea how happy this made me!!! The cost was completely reasonable!! All in all my visit to Optech Solutions was a fantastic one and I would highly recommend this business to family and friends. I always prefer supporting a local brick and mortar shop vs. a huge store like Best Buy. I will absolutely be visiting them again for any of my electronic needs.
