This place is terrible. My Salmon tasted like they found it at the bottom of the ocean dead, and cooked it anyway. I swallowed a bone not expecting one to be in my salmon, my friend found four more in her salmon. Who knows how many more could have waiting for me to find in my salmon, my brother got the wrong hamburger, my friend got the wrong drink but when she got the right one, it had no ice.Dont get me started on the wait. Went there around 10:30 am so we were able to get lunch and breakfast. Service was quick and our waitress was super nice. Adding the side note that I'm vegetarian, I'd have to say there's a ton of options for food. Coming from someone with a strict diet, it means a lot to have choices. Everytime me and my family visit Branson Missouri we have to stop by and enjoy at least one breakfast at this Shoney's. It is one of the few Shoney's left in the South Central United States that I am aware of and it offers great quality food especially for breakfast that is reasonably priced. Went with the family while on vacation. Food was very unsatisfactory, I'd imagine something from a nursing home with very little taste. The host that seated us was extremely rude and just walked away when I asked for a booth since we had 4 children with us. The best thing about the meal was the ice water, since they didn't even have a full buffet out for dinner. I had my 2,4,9,15 yr old children and was charged 3 full children buffet prices whe 2 should have been free. I would highly recommend against this restaurant. I would bet the Chinese buffet down the street has better food and service. Hope this saves someone the time and money. read more

I was so excited to see a shoneys because growing up we would eat there all the time. They closed our location in the 90s so it was a great blast from the past. The baked spaghetti was still just as amazing and great prices. The location was clean and spacious and no long wait. If my husband wouldn't care, I would only eat here while in branson!!! My husband and I both ate the dinner buffet because there was a huge selection of hot and cold foods. The dinner was supposed to be a "seafood" buffet that cost $14.12/person, but the only seafood was fried and cocktail shrimp. The food wasn't great. The hot meat entrees were lukewarm! My husband's fried chicken was ice cold, his fried fish room temperature, as well as his mashed potatoes. My fried shrimp and dried out catfish was also room temperature and tasteless. The small gray steaks were so bad and seemed to have been soaked in water for a long, long time. The food seemed to have been cooked frozen food because nothing tasted like it was freshly prepared and was bland. The dessert selection was very limited. I had the strawberry shortcake, but it was so gross!!! The frozen strawberries were pure mush having lots of artificial flavoring. The whipped topping for shortcake tasted like whipped oil with no flavoring and lots of sugar. My husband also had iced tea for $2.19, but he never got it refilled. Total for this pitiful meal was $30.61. When I inquired about receiving AARP Senior discount I was informed they have never heard of one. The food on the buffet was really overpriced and the food we tried was just pretty gross. My advice is to eat at the Golden Corral buffet or the Grand Country buffet when in Branson. Do not eat the buffet at Shoney's or order off menu. read more

We visited the Shoney's in Branson, MO on 2/25/18 for lunch. (order #204266) We ordered burgers, and asked to have them made to order. When we finally got our burgers, they did not have the toppings we requested. And when I asked for a refill of my drink, it was delivered to the table next to mine. We also ordered dessert, and we were told it would only take 13 minutes to prepare it and bring it to our table. 50 minutes later, the dessert finally arrived! The service was horrible, and the food was average. And when we went to pay for the meal at the register, we were not even asked if everything was satisfactory with our visit, like most restaurants would do. Service is our top priority, and means a great deal to us. That is the reason for the 1 star! read more

A pretty new building, clean and well kept. I got the pot pie which came with the soup, salad, and fruit bar. The pot pie was good and so was the bar. The server was friendly and always was getting rid of old dishes. I also sampled the cod fried fish and fries from another plate. They were both pretty good as well. Nothing extraordinary but a decent meal at a decent price. I would go back to try some other things. Would recommend a visit if you like a good standard American menu. read more
