Spending money on a Friday night and leaving upset is not acceptable. I had a very disappointing experience at this store. When I came in with my daughter to try on jazz shoes, the older lady working there was rude from the very beginning. I asked her to bring both styles for my daughter to try, and she responded with a negative attitude like it was a problem. She didn't want to let her to try both styles. . Instead of simply bringing both pairs, the older lady refused, saying one "wouldn't fit." That decision is not hers to make it's the customer's choice to try and compare. Today was my first time visiting, and I was shocked by how unwelcoming this employee was. A sales representative should be helpful and friendly, but instead she made me feel like I wanted to walk out immediately. While my daughter was trying both pairs, I asked my daughter questions to make sure the shoes fit well (since there is no return policy). Instead of letting us focus, the lady kept interrupting by negative talking and being rude and It made the entire process uncomfortable. There are so many other stores that sell dance shoes, and I wish I hadn't wasted my time here. If this store wants to keep customers, they need staff who actually want to help, not drive people away.

She spent time checking out what was wrong with my current shoes then took me over to scan my feet. Turns out my left foot is longer than my right. She started pulling out boxes of shoes to find the right fit for me, then we went through what colors I liked. What shoe companies I liked. I came in looking for a pair of shoes that would actually fit me properly...I ended up buying two pairs. One pair was not her store, so we arranged for the shoes to be shipped to my home. I was so relieved, I went back the next day, on our way out of town and bought another pair that I really wanted and my wife came in and bought herself a pair and sliders. Service was great. Who knew that finding shoelaces would be so difficult? I guess I should have just gone online to buy them! I first went to REI and then Road Runners and they both didn't have any in stock, so I then tried this store out and they had a good selection of shoe laces, but also many other items too besides running shoes. I liked some of their apparel and checked out some of the hydration packs they have in stock. Three or 4 staff members helped me out and everyone was so nice and really attentive. One guy even tried looking up a hose I needed for my Osprey 3L hydration pack, but they didnt have any in stock or online. But, I did find a pair of shoe laces and I will definitely be back again for my running needs!

The service and quality make this shop hard to beat…read more We walked in to the store and found it quite busy, but a sales associate quickly said hello and assured us she'd be over soon for measurements. Sure enough, she came over prepared with that foot scale thing and a notepad, helped us get the squirmy toddler lined up to find her size, and provided a helpful sticker with the size on it so we wouldn't forget. This same woman spent our whole visit back and forth from the back, checking on customers, looking for more sizes and styles, answering questions, and giving suggestions that proved her expertise in children's feet. I was very impressed with her pleasant demeanor considering how busy she was. I always knew my daughter had big feet, but she'd never been professionally measured before so it was nice to see the confirmation that she needed wide sizes! Stride Rite had a ton of options in her size and I noticed that most shoes come in 3 different width options. Add the quality and comfort of the shoes, and it's safe to say this brand rises to the top. After trying on several pairs, my toddler actually refused her old shoes to leave the store! I hesitated spending more than $10 on shoes that my child will outgrow within months, but I fully expect them to hold up through multiple kids. I'm sad this store won't be around much longer but I'll shop online based on this experience!

Be careful you don't get scammed like my son did…read more My son picked out a pair of shorts that were labeled "M" for medium on the hanger. He proceeded to front store to purchase the shorts. The lady took the hanger off and put them in a bag after my son provided his credit card for payment. Seconds after he walked out of the store I noticed they were not a size medium, but a large. I went back in the store and told the clerk what happened. I wanted to exchange for an actual medium which was falsely advertised on the hanger my son purchased.she said "no exchanges, no exceptions." She pointed out the situation sign at the counter and referred me to the manager who said the same thing. I believe my son was scammed by unethical sales people trying to get rid of bigger size stock by displaying them on mismatched sized hangers and using their "no refund, no exchange" policy to reinforce their scam.
