I use a mix of road and trail shoes and I need "stability" shoes due to my amazing ankles. The young lady who helped me noticed that as soon as I took off my boots, so I figured she'd be helpful. I'm not terribly picky about colors or brands, though I've got some favorites and generally know what I need. I tried on a couple of pairs and purchased some new road shoes during this visit. Simple and fast! (At least one of those describes me.) Can I get shoes cheaper online? Sure. Would I get the same level of service and instant Q&A/ feedback with the opportunity to actually try them on? Not a chance. Should I support a local business? Is that even a question?!? Plus, they have a box where you can donate your old race medals and they get recycled to for a good cause: "Medals4Mettle (M4M) awards medals to kids and adults fighting debilitating diseases and illnesses to spread love, kindness and encouragement. I did research on reddit and this came up as a recommended store. Awesome. I looked at their website which says they have several steps they do with you. First they evaluate what your need is and the health of your foot, then they put you on this foot scanner, then they analyze the data for recommendations of shoe, then you pick your shoes based on the software data, then you use their treadmill to see how those shoes work. It was a long drive to this place but we were willing to do it because they're doing all this work to figure out your shoe type for you and we're like great. We know nothing about shoes, we'll get some analysis and some advice on what would be best for us as we're going to be spending a lot of time standing, walking and maybe running in them. There was no evaluation of our need. We get on the scanning device which provides more measurements than I could possibly understand along with your shoe size, and the pressure points and good points on your foot. The goal being to try to reduce the red areas or dark purples. The sales person starts bringing me a few pairs of shoes. They're all way too small. Turns out the scanner has me at one and a half shoe sizes too small. So much for the scanner. Another batch of small shoes is brought out that don't fit. Why isn't the sales person getting out the tried and true shoe tree that you put your foot on and adjust the heel and the width to get the correct size already? The other issue I have is there was never any linkage (that I was informed about) between the scanner and all its data and my arch, and my pressure points and the shoes that were being brought to me. Was the sales person just bringing the one size recommendation from the scanner, and none of the other data meant anything? I don't know. Ultimately they didn't have anything in stock that fit me, but one pair I thought might be okay. They didn't have any treadmill to try it out on. They didn't give me analysis like you pronate or whatever. So I don't know what I do foot wise. So you know what I did? I went online and ordered multiple sizes in a crap shoot and hoped one would fit. I found a size that fit this way. I still know nothing about my feet and what I should have bought. Oh well. All this stuff on their website did nothing for me. Take it for what it's worth. That's why I rate it a three. It was no better than walking into a Payless shoes for me or blind shopping on Amazon as no one provided any insight into anything for me. If I find something that seems to feel good, well I guess the shoe is properly doing its job.

I drove down from Vegas wearing brand new shoes that did not fit, even though they were sized higher than what I normally wear. My toe pain overtook my apprehension and I dragged my formally slender body inside. Monika came up to me and helped put my mind at ease. She spent time checking out what was wrong with my current shoes then took me over to scan my feet. Turns out my left foot is longer than my right. She started pulling out boxes of shoes to find the right fit for me, then we went through what colors I liked. What shoe companies I liked. I came in looking for a pair of shoes that would actually fit me properly...I ended up buying two pairs. One pair was not her store, so we arranged for the shoes to be shipped to my home. I was so relieved, I went back the next day, on our way out of town and bought another pair that I really wanted and my wife came in and bought herself a pair and sliders. Service was great. Friendly staff that love what they do. Prices were very reasonable, even considering shipping. Just go. Go now. You will not be disappointed.

Who knew that finding shoelaces would be so difficult? I guess I should have just gone online to buy them! I first went to REI and then Road Runners and they both didn't have any in stock, so I then tried this store out and they had a good selection of shoe laces, but also many other items too besides running shoes. I liked some of their apparel and checked out some of the hydration packs they have in stock. Three or 4 staff members helped me out and everyone was so nice and really attentive. One guy even tried looking up a hose I needed for my Osprey 3L hydration pack, but they didnt have any in stock or online. But, I did find a pair of shoe laces and I will definitely be back again for my running needs!

I wish I could give negative star!!!…read more I just purchased shoes here and walked out with a terrible feeling because of the rude attitude from the older lady working there. Spending money on a Friday night and leaving upset is not acceptable. I had a very disappointing experience at this store. When I came in with my daughter to try on jazz shoes, the older lady working there was rude from the very beginning. I asked her to bring both styles for my daughter to try, and she responded with a negative attitude like it was a problem. She didn't want to let her to try both styles. . Instead of simply bringing both pairs, the older lady refused, saying one "wouldn't fit." That decision is not hers to make it's the customer's choice to try and compare. Today was my first time visiting, and I was shocked by how unwelcoming this employee was. A sales representative should be helpful and friendly, but instead she made me feel like I wanted to walk out immediately. While my daughter was trying both pairs, I asked my daughter questions to make sure the shoes fit well (since there is no return policy). Instead of letting us focus, the lady kept interrupting by negative talking and being rude and It made the entire process uncomfortable. There are so many other stores that sell dance shoes, and I wish I hadn't wasted my time here. If this store wants to keep customers, they need staff who actually want to help, not drive people away.
