This location had a better selection of shoes than the Chandler location at Warner & Arizona Avenue, which I have been going to for a long time. And, we found not only did they have better selection of shoes, which included kids stuff, the prices have been lower here than the Chandler store. We always get friendly service when we come here. When we bought a bunch of stuff on Black Friday here, they helped us wheel all our stuff to our vehicle and put the items in. How nice is that? And, we also bought a lot of shoes and the guys whom helped us out, they were all very patient as we were buying multiple shoes for our whole family. Great sale prices and coupons, so this allows us to stretch our dollar much further.

Good Price and Super Fluffy Slippers!…read more I stopped into this famous footwear location because my slippers at home fell apart and I wanted some new fluffy soft goodness to keep my feet happy when I run around on the cold tile. At first I was worried because I couldn't find any men's slippers, so I asked for some assistance and the guy who help me. Me in the correct direction where the men's slippers were a little bit tricky in their location as they were next to the kids shoes and women's. I ended up finding a wonderful pair of $40 fluffy leather with super full for lined interior. They are great and keep my feet super toasty now and have nice traction on the bottom too. All in all I am as happy as I could be with my new slippers and would recommend this place to anyone.

I came into the store to browse, no need to be "greeted" as other folks who posted their reviews earlier have cried about. The staff at this store can be helpful or they can't be helpful, it's ultimately up to me to decide what I am going to spend my money on. I don't need anything more than a few answers to very simple questions that I may have. We are all experienced shoppers, Freaking stupid to expect royal treatment at an average mall store. Some people have very high opinions of themselves and expect to be treated as such. Waaah, just let the usually younger staff work and learn the job skills as they go - the fact they are working in the first place is a real plus - consider that the next your royal highness enters a store. Anyway, I would like to say that I had a very pleasant experience at this Finish Line store at Chandler Fashion Center today and hope that those youngsters continue to grow their job skills as they work to support themselves. Thank you ladies and gentlemen

I normally don't comment on other people's reviews when writing my own review but after shopping…read morehere I think the biker chick and axe murderer community will be disappointed that girls shopping here won't instantly join their ranks (Then again that review was from 2007 so maybe this store has had a change of heart since then). The mood here channels maybe skater or alt rock fashion. Journeys is a subsidiary of Genesco Inc. who also owns Johnston and Murphy, Lids and Dockers. As for the merchandise, some brands they sell are Addidas, Converse, Doc Martens, Timberland, and Toms. I also saw a lot of various backpacks on the walls for sale (For hiding your axes of course). Journeys is also involved with the Vans Warped Tour and after looking at their website it seems like they make a dedicated effort to give back to the community. Store managers are given 8 hours of paid time to volunteer at a non profit per year, and the company is a sponsor of DECA which from their website, "... Prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe." This is one of the few brick and mortar stores that sells Toms. A few months ago I broke down and bought a few pairs that were on sale online. I always thought of them as mummy footwear because of the way they are designed with the fabric wrapping around the shoe. They are super comfy though and great for walking around. My dad saw my pair and wanted some. "I want those Kung Fu shoes!" he exclaimed to me on our last family dinner. Tbd if wearing them will channel his inner Neo from The Matrix so that at our next outing he will tell me in monotone "....I know Kung Fu". Related: he does take many pills every day but also TBD if any of them are blue or red. Go figure I had to go to a store in the mall geared towards teens and early 20-somethings to get shoes for my dad who is approaching octogenarian status. It was easy looking at their selection online and to see if the certain shoe I wanted was in stock. The store itself is pretty small and they stack as much merchandise as they can in here. Service was friendly and efficient and they offer regular printed receipt, online receipt and gift receipts. They also have a very generous return policy and will allow returns up to 365 days from purchase if the item is still in new/unworn condition with receipt. If my dad does decide to become (At best) a biker chick or (At worst) an axe murderer after wearing these shoes I bought though don't worry, I'll be sure to update my review.

Adj: Very fun sporting goods and more store!…read more We love coming to different Bass Pro Shops. They're all kind of different, and yet similar. They're all huge, just that some are even bigger than the average. This one in Mesa, AZ is one of the biggest, we were told by staff. We came while on a trip out to Phoenix area, and we were staying nearby. It was a warm, or rather sizzling hot September day. There's not really a fall in AZ is there? Winter would be fall to most in temps. Anyhow, coming into this store was perfect for getting out of the heat. We wandered immediately over to the huge aquarium. A very attractive feature that my kids just love to gravitate towards no matter how old they are. After looking at the fishes for awhile, we wandered up to the 2nd floor and looked at all the camping gears, not so much b/c we're the camping type, but b/c the products are fun to check out and we discovered some innovations in camping chairs, they have come a LONG way, so comfortable that some of them feel like couches now, or like a reclining chair, almost like a la-z-boy in your family room. After checking out the camping section, we looked at the "stuffed" animals, aka taxidermy wildlife. They are always menacing and "scary" to me. What can I say, I get squeamish around wild animals alive or dead, but of course better if they're already taken care of so I don't have to run for my life. In any case, we also checked out their archery dept which is so cool b/c you can shoot arrow and test out their bows here at their indoor range (smaller, but sufficient) before buying and get practice in with your own bow, iirc. Finally, we just walked around all over, including much of the 1st floor to check out their water sports and apparel depts, all filled with goodies and fun stuff galore. If only money is no object huh? lol. Customer service was friendly and let us browse and explore as we liked, but were there for any questions or directions.

Huge BPS store! This one is in Mesa. We were staying pretty close by, could've technically walked…read moreover had it not been so hot. Spent a couple of hours one afternoon. We love visiting BPS's, it's like going into the wilderness without the prep and mosquito bites. We're only semi-outdoors people of the paved or at least graveled/dirt-road variety, and not too much rugged terrain please for my getting-old bones. Pros: - It's for pros, hence the name, lots of specialty brands. - I feel like I'm a pro when I come here, only need to trick me. - My kids get such a kick out of this place, it's got all the cool gadgets to make camping and other outdoors adventures high-tech and fun - So many taxidermy animals, my wife hates seeing them and get squeamish, but the kids and I find them fun to look at. I personally think they're cool. Too bad I can't bring one home. - Some things on sale are pretty reasonably priced. - Huge place to walk around in, get your exercise done indoors in perfectly temp-controlled environment. - Clean bathrooms and the whole place is kept up nicely. Cons: - Some items are definitely full-retail prices - mostly hiking shoes, water sandals, didn't see much if any discounts for those. - Other items seem even higher than retail at other stores - grills, camping equipment, some knives (although I don't know prices for those as much). All in all, a great place to visit, stick to sale stuff and you can find some decent to good deal for your next outdoors adventure. Service from staff is good if you need help, just ask, otherwise, it's more a hands-off, self-serve, wander-as-you-like type of place which I prefer anyway.
