I had a great experience at the Journey's in the chandler mall. I've been searching for a specific shoe for days and they had it in stock here! The girl who helped me out, I think her name was Andi, was amazing! Helped me out very quickly, along with helping others because it was crowded in there, and read me like a book with my style; she ended up showing me another pair that she thought I would like and oh did I!! this last weekend, i went shopping for some new converse and decided to head to the Journeys in the chandler fashion center. i was greeted kindly by the staff but one particular employee provided me help and definitely knew what customer service was as she treated me kindly. she was also assisted by another employee and i'd say they both made my experience really well and easy. i had to get their names because i hope they'd get recognition for their work and customer service. thank you again, Dawn and Arlett! i'd definitely go to this Journeys again read more

I normally don't comment on other people's reviews when writing my own review but after shopping here I think the biker chick and axe murderer community will be disappointed that girls shopping here won't instantly join their ranks (Then again that review was from 2007 so maybe this store has had a change of heart since then). The mood here channels maybe skater or alt rock fashion. Journeys is a subsidiary of Genesco Inc. who also owns Johnston and Murphy, Lids and Dockers. As for the merchandise, some brands they sell are Addidas, Converse, Doc Martens, Timberland, and Toms. I also saw a lot of various backpacks on the walls for sale (For hiding your axes of course). Journeys is also involved with the Vans Warped Tour and after looking at their website it seems like they make a dedicated effort to give back to the community. Store managers are given 8 hours of paid time to volunteer at a non profit per year, and the company is a sponsor of DECA which from their website, "... Prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe." This is one of the few brick and mortar stores that sells Toms. A few months ago I broke down and bought a few pairs that were on sale online. I always thought of them as mummy footwear because of the way they are designed with the fabric wrapping around the shoe. They are super comfy though and great for walking around. My dad saw my pair and wanted some. "I want those Kung Fu shoes!" he exclaimed to me on our last family dinner. Tbd if wearing them will channel his inner Neo from The Matrix so that at our next outing he will tell me in monotone "....I know Kung Fu". Related: he does take many pills every day but also TBD if any of them are blue or red. Go figure I had to go to a store in the mall geared towards teens and early 20-somethings to get shoes for my dad who is approaching octogenarian status. It was easy looking at their selection online and to see if the certain shoe I wanted was in stock. The store itself is pretty small and they stack as much merchandise as they can in here. Service was friendly and efficient and they offer regular printed receipt, online receipt and gift receipts. They also have a very generous return policy and will allow returns up to 365 days from purchase if the item is still in new/unworn condition with receipt. If my dad does decide to become (At best) a biker chick or (At worst) an axe murderer after wearing these shoes I bought though don't worry, I'll be sure to update my review. read more

I've never been in this store, but I ended up calling it by mistake thanks to Google, as I thought I had looked up the number for Journeys Kids. Logan went above and beyond to call the right store to check their inventory and make sure they had what I was looking for before driving down there. I love my new Catwoman Converse! The guy who helped us was amazing and went above and beyond to find shoes that the website said they had. It was the day after Christmas and I was returning a Superman Onesie (seriously mom, I said Batman like a million times, blech on Superman) and caped Superman socks. Came in last weekend with my husband and two kids. We were looking to buy my son some new shoes! While looking for his shoes I found a pair of vans that I actually liked and wanted to try them on. As I waited for a employee to notice that I needed assistance, no one came over to help us. My husband had the shoe for my son and I had the shoe for myself.... still no one ever came over! I then counted 5 employees standing over near the back talking and hanging out! Not even the guy at the register was interested in selling shoes! At that point I told my husband to put the shoes back because we are leaving! I spent at least 10mins in the store with no greet, nor any assistance! Piss poor customer service! I even told the group of employees at Journeys that "Not one of you have helped us since we walked in here so we're leaving!" They just looked at each other stupidly ! We went to the Vans store down the way where we were greeted as we walked in by 2 different employees and we bought 3pairs of shoes! I hate to say this but I think race had something to do with the way we were treated at Journeys ! We will never shop there again! read more

I wanted to exchange a pair of shoes for my daughter for a different size. I had my receipt and the original box and were never worn. I was asked for my email and phone number. When I said I didn't want to give that out, he continued to say he needed it to be able to exchange. I finally had to give my name, a bogus email and number to get out of there. I had my credit card I made the purchase with! This is terrible customer service! If my daughter went in without me she would have given all of this info out. Which in turn she would end up with an endless supply of emails and then these companies sell your phone number. Absolutely Ridiculous!! read more

She was a little smug in saying "Just do you know you won't find any better deals than today" and then literally turned her back on me to talk to a coworker. The Journey's shoe store at chandler fashion center is a fantastic store. The customer service is impeccable for what it is. You get greeted the second you step in the door and they are just genuinely nice people. They make you feel like you are wanted in the store. They always ask if you need any help or if you want a size in the shoes you happen to be looking at. If you ask for a lot of different shoes they happily do it without giving you attitude. They are also very helpful by working with you to get the right shoe size. The customer service is so good that one visit I didn't plan on buying anything but I bought socks because they were so nice. They have a lot of different styles of shoes for everyone. All the shoes I have bought have been great quality and there is nothing wrong with them. They have good exclusive shoes that are cute. The only complaint is they often do not carry 11 and 12 shoe sizes which is a downside because that's what I wear. They still do have some shoes that are good in those sizes so it's not that much of a downside. The pros outweigh the cons at this journey's by a great margin. It is a great place to shop for unique, affordable, and great shoes. read more
