The staff are always so nice and the selection of items is always on point! I like how easy it is to do exchanges and returns. I always seem to find something in here when I am doing a return! They have an amazing selection of discount and full price items and their rewards program is worth signing up for due to all their perks! Again the staff are always so kind and understanding! This is my go to spot for shoes!! read more

The stars I gave are all due to Kiena who was the first and only person to even acknowledge us after being in the store for a good 15min. The others stared, as if, they seen us get out of an UFO and we were ALIENS. SHEESH The store looks small inside compared to other locations. It's designed poorly and unorganized! They had clearance items for Men and Women upfront, and in back which, was kinda tacky in my opinion. What happened to all clearance being in the back of the store? I think that's why the store looks kinda unorganized! Just my OCD Opinion. We went searching for walking shoes but couldn't find any. I noticed that the prices are steep on all shoes, including the clearance section. I remember when shoes here would be different brands and even non brand names would be hot but now they're stocked with shoes that looked low end and cheap. Quality of product has really gone downhill. (My opinion) They have completely gotten rid of the yellow 70% off shoes... those were my bargain buys back in the day. Thanks to Kiena the visit was worth stopping. Please giive her a raise and make her a Manager if she already isn't... she deserves to be AREA Managementand to go around all stores making sure that all employees are greetingand acknowledging customers!!! Fun fact: Acknowledgement shows a potential Thief that you see them and they are prone to not steal. I learned that in a College course way back when Just a friendly tip! I'm in no way, shape or form a thief but, just thought I'd share this fact. I heard her speak on the Lil earpiece to her peers, that they all need to do better with speaking and greeting customers upon entrance. That in itself, was "A PLUS" CUSTOMER SERVICE! SHE DESERVES AN AWARD FOR EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!!! You never know who enters a store...undercover bosses do it often. ‍ read more

Finally, a DSW in Tempe! They have a wide selection of different brands and styles here, as well as a good selection of purses to choose from. The clearance section is always my first stop, followed by a thorough browsing of each aisle. : ) I'm always like a kid in a candy store at a DSW. There's always something tempting to buy! Service was cheerful and friendly. If you're part of their rewards program you can rack up points towards a coupon (I redeemed a $10 coupon this visit), and they'll also give you discounts for your birthday. read more

Nikki was very grumpy and treated us extremely poorly during a simple refund. We both have no idea at all why she was disrespectful. She is also condescending towards other employees in line. Make sure to do some sort of performance evaluation on her. read more

Buying shoes for kids is never fun and buying online is extra difficult. I brought my toddler into DSW to try on some shoes to be sure we had a good fit. This store has half an aisle of toddler sizes and full aisle of youth sizes. With the way the displays are set up, it was easy for my kid to quickly decide what she was willing to try on. She settled on a pair of Vans. We found if we stick with better know name brands the quality is a bit better and the shoes hold up a little longer. When we went to checkout the cashier checked the size and to make sure we had a left and right--we had two lefts. I appreciate that she took the time to fix it so we didn't have to make a return trip. I was a little disappointed there wasn't much of a selection of brands like Nike or New Balance in store, but you can always buy a couple sizes/brand online, ship to the store and immediately return what doesn't work. read more

Walking in here made me feel like I was having an "Oprah Winfrey" moment. Not the "Ah-ha" moment that we know her to have.... Not even a "I feel like buying every shoe in here because I am a billionaire" moment..... I was having an "Oprah Winfrey" moment as I walked in this Designer Shoe Warehouse because I felt like screaming at the top of my lungs........ "You get a pair. YOU get a pair. And You get a pair! EVERYBODY. GETS. A. PAIR!" What a crazy and exhilarating high I get from walking in a store that has waist high displays of shoes everywhere. Rows upon rows of shoes, no, not just shoes..... discounted shoes! As Wilma and Betty (Flintstones) once said, and is now the battle cry of every shoe-loving woman in America ................. "CHARRRRRRRRGE!" Kids, elderly, men and women, out of my way as I charge for the back of this store for the shoes that are marked down even more. Yes, I head straight and I mean do not pass GO, to the clearance section! As I am heading back there, I scan the area for my size. Once I spot my size I almost, no---- I gleefully skip to my section. I almost always find a pair of shoes that I like. When I find a pair of shoes in that clearance section, I feel like I have won a battle! Mission accomplished. Once I have taken a look at the clearance section, I start making my way to the checkout counter. But as I do, I peruse the isles of shoes that are not on clearance. I check out sandals and boots usually. DSW has all kinds of shoes by many different brands. Like many shoe stores now, DSW carries many different types of accessories from Jewelry to Purses. I have won many a battle on a DSW showroom floor. I was in this one today.. I went, I shopped, I conquered. Put that on repeat! read more

I had an online return, and got right when they were closing, but Nikki went above and beyond to help me out. I hate being that person when people have worked a long day and to have to stay even later due to people staying past close, but she did it with a smile! I really appreciate her and the customer service she provided. read more

I was not overly impressed with the selection that they have inside this location. The one good thing I would say is keep that work you're absolutely so kind. They were so nice to me and they did every Spirit but unfortunately the style insulation they have at this location is lacking. I wish they would have proved that because everything else about the store is actually really good read more

I ordered a pair of shoes online and tried them on around my house for about 5 minutes before deciding that they fit a little too tight. I went to this store a couple weeks later with my receipt to return them and had a successful return, but only after debating with the cashier and manager about how much the shoes were worn. Granted, there was a bit of dust (?) on the bottom of the shoes, but they hadn't been worn outside or anywhere else, just in the tile floor of my house. The manager accepted the return after an accusatory warning about how the shoes can't be returned with damage. It was so awkward and I felt like they thought I was lying. Just a fair warning to anyone trying on shoes at home... wear them only on carpet or wipe down the bottom of the shoes before taking them back to the store or "next time" they "won't accept them". read more

My partner and I needed dress shoes for a wedding. After going to two other stores which had tiny selections in my sweetie's shoe size (13), we went to DSW. They had a decent selection of dress shoes in his size. I wouldn't say it was large, but it was huge compared to what we found at other stores. The prices for men's dress shoes seemed a bit high: $70 - $100, with the "true" dress shoes being $100. My shoes were affordable. Pretty shoes starting at about $30 - $40. Purses started at $30, with $50 appearing to be the median price. The salesperson was polite, courteous and helpful. We would both go back. read more

Well , I had seen this place before, but had never gone in side. That is until about 1 month ago. When a fellow Yelper did a review. Then I thought why have I never gone in before?? So I did. Dangerous? yes, for me. I have the shopping disease as many of my friends tell me. DSW really brought that out in me. Maybe that is why I avoid it. But, this place is stacked high with many fabulous pairs of shoes. All at a fairly reasonable price. So Hello DSW The Shoe wonderland. It is clean and well organized, so you can search and actually find what you are looking for. Yest another wonderful thing. They also have a rewards program, so the more you shop ,they more you save. Which is another reason why I love to shop! By the way it is located in the Tempe Market Place. So lots of Parking. read more

When I saw that they were opening a DSW in the Tempe Marketplace, my heart leapt for joy since that is just down the street from my office. I stopped in there for the first time yesterday after work since I had some time to kill before the ISC dinner. I was super impressed!! The store is very clean and well organized since it is brand spanking new. But on top of that it is decorated in a really nice way. I loved the fact that they had the clearance section separated by a small wall since that area usually gets crazy. And the purse section seemed larger and not so cluttered as compared to the Chandler location. My only complaint is that I don't think they have enough registers or room for queuing since I am sure once everyone realizes that this place is here they will be very, very busy! There were not too many people shopping when I was there yesterday. I had to do a return of something I had purchased online but the person who helped me was really friendly. I did a little shopping afterwards (not too much since the hubby was with me) and the salesperson on the floor was also really friendly and able to direct me to the exact location of a particular item I was looking for when I described it to her. Did I mention that this store is humungous?!? The biggest surprise was that I saw that they had name brand purses like Coach and Calvin Klein. The one in Chandler only has cheap looking no-name purses. So I was pretty surprised. I am not sure if that is something they are going to be adding to all the stores or if this Tempe Marketplace location is like a flagship store or something (it certainly looks it). read more

Dammit! I had no intention of buying a new pair of shoes today. I looked down at my foot after lunch and discovered the sole was separating from the shoe. Naturally, this occurred while on a business trip. Bekah was the young lady who helped me struggle through the experience of trying to find a pair of shoes which would presumably have a break in period one could measure in seconds. The last thing I wanted was a pair that would cause blisters when I trudge through the airports on my way home in a couple of days. They have a much better than average selection of men's dress and dress casual shoes. I walked out with two pairs and directions to one of their other stores. I ultimately returned both pairs I bought there after finding a more suitable pair at their other location but that is no reflection of the shopping experience in this location. read more

I personally shop the clearance section all the time. I find all these awesome deals on crazy shoes that I love (cause I have a crazy style). Amber and Donovan were great to work with. We appreciated the patience and very helpful tips!

Stopped into this store to purchase some dress shoes for a new job I started and I must say, I was rather pleased. The employees were super nice and super helpful as they walked around and asked if we were finding everything ok. There are some businesses that understand the importance of customer service...I mean, with social media, you can't really be mean to customers anymore. This business is part of the elite that get it. The shoes aren't badly priced and they have a pretty wide selection of designer brands. Definitely a good place if you're looking for something nice without having to pay out the rear. read more

Corrected a mistake made on an online order with promptness and a good attitude. Thank you for your help and patience with this issue.

Bought a pair of shoes for $50 and I've had five dollar shoes that lasted longer than them. Cute pair of heels really liked them but I wear them to graduation to dinner that night and then warm out one other time never had any crazy wear anything on them and the bottom of the heels are already starting to come apart. So just really cheap shoes they sell for a very marked up price read more

Nice location and has really good deals. I found a really cute pair of heels in the clearance section. After the 70% off the shoes they came to a total of $16.42 with tax. If you are looking for a nice deal on shoes, visit this location because I definitely will be back. read more

Ankle injury likely due to my flat platypus feet - and long story short - I wound up looking for better shoes, I chose a shoe that I liked and was about to check out and buy it - when one of the guys working pointed out that the shoe I chose was not the right choice for my foot (I had asked them earlier for brand suggestions on shoes for flat feet), and then he took the time to tell me what kind of shoe I needed to be purchase and gave an extensive explanation of how I could identify the right shoe (though they were out of stock for the kind of shoe that I would've liked), but never the less this was one of the nicest customer service experiences I had had - I will definitely be going back to these guys ! read more

Not impressed with this company for the following reason: Can you explain to me why you have a 7000 sq ft store that carries zero woman's hiking shoes? Again, the store is in the desert where hiking is the #1 activity. Additionally, 3/4 of your store is dedicated to women's shoes. The store associate said at one point you had 1 women's hiking shoe and the store sold out. Wouldn't this be a clue to sell more women's hiking shoes? I find it very sexist since you have 10 skus of men's hiking shoes. Sounds like a good investigative news story. read more
