I unfortunately forgot his name but he was working at about 2pm this past Wednesday. He was super observant of my needs even without me saying them out loud. I told him about my general aversion to fancy clothes and he suggested an economic option for me that's still high quality. It was sincerely perfect. The price range for the full suit was about what I'd anticipated but the tailoring was a much better price than I'd expected. I will update this review with a photo when I pick up my suit next week!

They were also great with the boots, helping me figure out what size actually worked for me across different styles and brands. Sweet! Clay, the owner, was super nice and we chatted the entire time I was looking around the store. He told me that this store has been here for 25 years and that he goes around the world looking for items and buys them up and then has them shipped back to here. Great! The reason the store is called Yucatecan Imports is when he first opened the store, he originally was bringing back hammocks from Yucatan, nice little history there! Each item in the store is marked with price and also where it comes from, so super cool! This is about as fair trade as it can be. Clay has hand painted scrolls from Thailand, Buddha calendars from Nepal, bookmarks from Turkey, earrings from Peru and Mexico, and my favorite, he has a chirango from Ecuador (however, the chirango was made in Bolivia)! I wanted to stay in here all day and look at everything he has as it is super neat all the wares he carries. He doesn't operate an online business, so he's old school, and wants you to come into his store, great! I ended up buying a mini wooden carved elephant from Thailand, this is a gift for my mom as she loves elephants (and so do I) and will send it to her!
