Scheels is like a department store, Bass Pro shops, & a small cafe combined. Lol. Two levels of just everything you can imagine. Sports cards, memorabilias, grilling (the wall of bbq & meat seasonings!), camping gear, shooting gear, golf, fishing, athletics, jerseys, shoes, legos... they have a ferris wheel inside the building, a candy store, and a cafe serving snacks and small bites. It really felt like the whole team was working together to create such a welcoming and enjoyable experience. In a world where exceptional customer service can feel rare, this was such a refreshing and appreciated experience. We left feeling genuinely taken care of and will absolutely be back again soon. Two days later, on April 10, I received an email informing me that my order was cancelled without an explanation. When I called to inquire, I was told. "Oh, sometimes our inventory is off." I subsequently missed an opportunity to buy the same product on sale from another retailer, making it a double loss. Very disappointing to say the least. They need to keep their inventory accurate or exit the online market. Follow-up to my original one star review of this business. I have upgraded my review to 5 stars. After reading my review, the business owner reached out to me almost immediately with an apology about how my cancellation was handled and made a firm offer to work something out. As a good will gesture, he offered me a newer version of the same gloves at the original price I had paid for the sale item, a $36 difference. The gloves shipped the very next day. This generous gesture speaks volumes about their desire to maintain excellent customer service and to not let customers be disgruntled over a transaction. I will gladly do business with them again. I've been into this store a handful of times and I've had positive experiences each time…read more The people that work here are helpful, the selection of shoes, apparel and equipment is pretty impressive, and it's convenient to get in and out quickly. I love that they carry some of our favorite brands like Vuori, Patagonia, North Face, Hoka, New Balance and Birkenstock. They also have a limited selection of energy fuel (ie: gu, gummies, etc...) + sunscreen, lip balm and small sporting accessories. The prices are not cheap, however... unless you luck out and find your size and style on a sale rack. On a recent visit with my daughter, we purchased 3 pairs of shorts. One on sale and the others pretty expensive. Hopefully they will last a long time!

I knew about this store for awhile but didn't get to check it out until today…read more I accidentally flushed my shoe laces to a pair of my running shoes down the drain today and needed to find replacement shoelaces. Who knew that finding shoelaces would be so difficult? I guess I should have just gone online to buy them! I first went to REI and then Road Runners and they both didn't have any in stock, so I then tried this store out and they had a good selection of shoe laces, but also many other items too besides running shoes. I liked some of their apparel and checked out some of the hydration packs they have in stock. Three or 4 staff members helped me out and everyone was so nice and really attentive. One guy even tried looking up a hose I needed for my Osprey 3L hydration pack, but they didnt have any in stock or online. But, I did find a pair of shoe laces and I will definitely be back again for my running needs!
