As a New Yorker, there aren't many options in terms of playing 18 holes of mini golf. The options are cut down even more when looking for an indoor option. Shipwrecked provides just that, and it's a really cool place! The course not only offers cool scenery and tricky shots, but can be interactive (for $5 extra). My personal favorite hole was the 18th and final hole, which is an extremely accurate depiction of a NYC Subway car. The only thing keeping me from giving this spot the full five stars is that it's a little pricey ($14 for a game). That being said, it's a ton of fun and something I'd recommend for anything from dates to friendly outings. read more

We had a great time here. The place is clean, the staff is friendly. The prices were really not bad for an NYC attraction. The course was fun, with a couple of challenging holes. Was it the most fun mini golf course I've been to? Certainly not. I think some of the holes can use a bit more entertainment. Still, there were enough cool ones to make up for the boring ones. I recommend buying the tokens for the special effects. It's $5 per group and well worth it. For additional entertainment, especially while waiting (we had a short wait, I think about 20 minutes), they have some fun retro video games. At .25 a game they're a bargain! I wish though that they had a larger arcade area, with more games. It would be a win-win. They can make more money and since mini golf is fairly quick, it would extend a fun afternoon a little bit. Came here for one of the most unique double dates ever! It's one thing to play mini-golf. It's another thing for it to be a theatrical, pirate-inspired putt putt. YEAH. They just opened two months ago, so it's no surprise that the venue is super clean (including the bathrooms) and that they have an enthusiastic, friendly staff. They've got a huge amount of space dedicated for mini golf, but they also have party rooms and a seating area complete with arcade games. A lot of time and effort went into making it what it is - it really shows! For four people, it was about $65 for the theatrical mini golf. They gave us tokens to deposit before starting each section of the course. (This is also a great way to pace each group!) We started off in a small "cabin in a ship" where a projection of the owner/pirate gave us a background story, complete with special effects. The first room had an underwater theme, then you make your way through the jungle and eventually back to Brooklyn! Each room made for some great photo ops. I've heard good things but haven't gotten the chance to try. I would suggest booking a room and the mini golf for the same visit. I had the most wonderful time at Shipwrecked for my birthday! They were so easy to work with and very accommodating from the get go, plus they reached out to me multiple times to make sure I had everything I needed for the day. The event was well coordinated and everything was perfect. I would warn anyone who's planning an event that the two hour time frame wasn't enough for my group to get through the whole mini golf course and also enjoy the snacks and the room, so we added an extra hour and it was an extra $150. The interactive set design made up for the price you pay for a NYC mini gold experience. The actual holes themselves were very short and small, and I wouldn't have minded that if they had a bit more variety. They could easily add more physical props and obstacles to the holes themselves to distract from the fact that the layouts are very similar. This place is pretty neat, in-door miniature golf perfect to avoid the heat and bugs. The 18 holes course was pretty easy, me and my friend completed them in about an hour; that's with the video skits and replaying couple of the courses when the next group hasn't catch up. Perhaps we were too good, or we weren't half drunk to be goofing around. The staff was very friendly, we had a wait about 45 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. So we decided to go Ikea and walked around, and soon before it's our turn they gave us a call to inform us. Overall, it was a fun experience, all the amenities are well maintained. I booked a company event at Shipwrecked and had a great experience at the venue! It was wonderfully affordable as far as event planning is concerned and the facilities are new and clean! Also, the staff was really accommodating and went above and beyond making sure our group was taken care of and providing extra help when we needed it (shoutout to Adam for truly being all-star!), which was a huge godsend given that our catering vendor had made a variety of snafus. They had a really welcoming and helpful attitude and as an event planner, I was just incredibly appreciative. The event space part of it was basic casual - it's very picnic-style and they were nice enough to write a welcome sign for us on their chalkboard. There's also speakers in there if you want to hook up music. They can provide pizza or picnic, though we used an external caterer. The course itself was fun and great! It's mini golf! hahahaha. But it's a great large indoor course, which is rare for the New York area, so if you don't mind trekking to Red Hook via either the Ikea ferry (which was about a 15 minute walk from the dock) or the F/G train (which was a 10 minute walk) - it's a great option! Just as an FYI - both walks from either the ferry or subway are through industrial areas, so maybe try to make the trek with others for company :) Otherwise, you can drink on the course if you get one of their awesomely cute golf-ball sippy cups haha. Well this was a nice surprise. I never expected to love a mini golf place like I now do. Shipwrecked is a fun and cute date spot that is challenging, beautiful, and lovingly done. So why only 4 stars? It starts off great - my friends and I wanted the full experience so we paid for the tokens (to get all the graphics that come with the course) and it starts off strong. But as you go, it gets less and less interesting and definitely gives off the vibe that whoever dreamt this up got lazy. The storyline is week but it's funny and jam packed with pop culture references that'll have you laughing. Another small complaint - they serve alcohol (which is fantastic, don't get me wrong), but they don't provide any tables or flat surfaces next to the holes for you to set it down. Other than these minor details, it was a great way to spend an afternoon and the old school arcade games just outside once you finish was a nice touch. Couldn't drag the boys away from it! read more

My son celebrated his 16th birthday at the ending of July and he and his guests had an amazing time. My son was very indecisive of how he wanted to celebrate his birthday, but he and his friends were pleasantly surprised with the entertainment. They competed to see what group could get out of each escape room first, enjoyed the mini golf course that stretched out into several themed rooms and the game token package for the arcade was a great way to end the night. The party room was nicely decorated, and the disco lights was a nice touch for an evening event. The adults were able to hang out on the outdoor terrace leading outside of the private party room to allow the teenagers privacy. We found this place on yelp and followed the map to get here. It might have been when we were walking from, but it seemed to be in an industrial zone. The place looks very new and well kept, it was also very clean. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too busy. It costs around 13 dollars per person and you also have the option to buy a bag of gold coins to activate the machines/storyline for an extra five dollars. The decorations and effects on the wall were really good and realistic. I really liked the final room with the subway and brooklyn signage. The golf courses were designed well and very fun. My favourite was the one that has the stream running through the middle! There are also arcade game machines outside of the golf courses that you could have fun with kids. read more

When you first google map this golf spot, a warehouse pops up. It's okay though, you're at the right place. Shipwrecked is located on the 2nd floor of the building. You walk into an old fashioned lobby, and take the elevator upstairs. My first impression was that the whole concept was so CHEESY. I opted to buy a bag of tokens ($5) for the more interactive mini golf, you basically put a token into a machine in every room and lights/sounds appear! I want to point out that its obvious major effort was put into designing these rooms..especially the last subway room (which was WOW). This is a great spot for a date night with your significant other since its not expensive ($24 a person, $5 for bag of tokens). They also offer discounts, just check the website! Came here in the winter for a Birthday night and had a pretty good time! Pro-tip, the "add-on" for the special effects is totally not worth it; trust me. You're not missing out on anything by NOT paying extra for that. Other than that, there was a great variety of courses; I especially loved the water trap and the final subway car. The background art and setups were really well-done in my opinion. While the Shipwrecked storyline might be cheesy (we all grew bored and impatient during the introduction), the actual courses are fun and abundant. It took my group of about 6-7 around 2 hours to get through, so there's a feeling that you're getting your money's worth in time. The staff are also very friendly and cordial. The location is a little isolated in a warehousey-district area, but certainly walkable from public transportation. read more

Had a fantastic time mini-golfing here for Valentine's Day! They pulled out all the stops to make it a special experience, and the people who work there know how to create a really fun and friendly atmosphere. The whole facility is very well kept, and has a variety of arcade games in addition to the mini-golf course. Came here on Monday night to celebrate a very last minute surprise birthday. The location is not hard to get to, 10 minutes walk from the Smith station or you can also Uber/Lyft your way down from Court Street. The last hour to let players in is 8pm and my friends and I got there at 8:10pm but they were still nice enough to let us play. Price is reasonable but DO NOT get the token (extra $5) because you just wasted your $5 on some useless token that you have to insert into a machine that tells you very useless shit. I guess you can get it if you're there with a group of kids but with adults, save it for a beer or something. Now as for the course itself, it was okay. Mind you that this is my first time EVER to play indoor mini golf. But I feel like the course gets a little dull after a couple of rounds, not as challenging and a little repetitive in my option. I've been to other mini golf locations before and they are a lot more fun and challenging so the players are more focus and interactive. Another thing to keep in mind is that there's no food/drink provided. There are snacks like chips and candies but no actual food (pizza, burgers, etc.) or beer/soda sold there. I will never ever come to this place so long as I live due to their lying and obnoxiously rude staff. We had called up twice once 2 days before and once the day before to inquire about bringing a group of kids. We SPECIFICALLY asked if there would be any wait or delay or anything that we needed a reservation for. We told since we were a small group (6 kids) there would be no issues, we don't need to make reservations and everything would be smooth sailing just walk on in. We also asked about the time we would be coming in 3 times to make sure it would be okay. Lo and behold, we show up and they tell us that due to a party we would have to wait with 6 kids for almost an hour. When I asked if there is anywhere we can wait they pointed to an "arcade" area which is nothing but two old video games. Despite the fact that the party didn't even play yet, they were holding everyone up and they made us have to drive back home with 6 crying kids. When we pleaded with the guy to let us play, even start at a later hole, the guy gave us the the most indignant smile and they were bending over backwards to not even try and help us. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time. Take your family to Aviator or one of the other golf courses. At least the employees don't lie and are nice. To the owner of this place, running a business is hard, especially one that caters to families. If you intend on keeping this venture open and profitable you should invest in hiring and training quality employees. read more

What a beautiful mini golf course! Boy was I amazed at how absolutely gorgeous this place was. These guys put so much thought and detail into building this place and it was worth coming all the way out in the pouring rain from NJ. Planned a last minute group trip here and left a voicemail the night before to find out more details on pricing, parking, etc. Ryan called me right back and gave me all the info I needed. He was a nice as can be and even apologized for not being able to pick up the phone because he was with clients. Arrived with my large group and met Chris who was expecting us and also as nice as can be. The minute we walked in the first room and put a coin in ($5 for a bag of coins to add theatrics in each room), I was wowed at how nice and fun the theatrics were. The kids loved it! Each room was sooooo nice and just got better and better. You get excited to see what's in the next room already! The rooms are spacious so each hole has enough space from each other where we weren't all cramped up together. From the painting on the walls to the graffiti reading "Brooklyn" to the subway car, this place makes for great fun and pictures. The bench in front of "Brooklyn" was well thought out for pictures. Don't think of this place as a place just for kids. We had mostly adults in our group and had a great time! In fact, I think adults would appreciate the detail and design more so make sure you check out this little gem. Worst mini golf experience I've ever had. We got there and were told it was a fifteen minute wait and that someone would call out our number. Half an hour later, which is eons with two small children, I had to find a staff member and ask if we could play. They started us ten minutes later and the course was completely jammed. We played four of the most boring holes I've ever seen, and then gave up waiting on two extremely large groups of people glacially meandering through the course. We left having been there 45 minutes and having played about five minutes. It would have taken another hour to finish the course- absurd. Biked here from hotel, there is limited bike racks, none actually. It's not in the nicest part of town. Unsure where parking would be if you drove. They graciously allowed us to leave bikes near the lockers. It's on the second floor, above a trucking company. We had book bags, so we rented a locker for $2. It's an 18 hole course. It's really nice. There's different themes. Jungle. Totems. I liked the last room with the Brooklyn Bridge, bench, and subway. This is a great place for kids or a first date. Plenty of selfie opportunities. I probably wouldn't go back right away, but if you have a family with small ones, they'll definitely enjoy the place. read more

Came here on a date and really enjoyed my experience here! I wanted a place with an immersive experience and Shipwrecked really delivered. The special effects you obtain with tokens are hockey and cheesy, but then again that's my style of humor! The staff was very, very friendly and helpful in terms of explaining the rules and course offerings. It's not the most challenging course I've ever played, but maybe that's a good thing because my swing was pretty rusty. I'd recommend this course for families as well as anyone looking for an innovative date within NYC. *Note that if you're coming here on the weekend, the F train schedule might be disrupted.
