I hosted my daughter's 5th birthday party at Twinkle and had an awesome time! This was the best and most stress-free party I had thrown and the kids loved the space so much they asked to return the next day. Pros: - So easy to book a party and confirm all the details. The 2 packages are all explained on https://www.twinkleplayspace.com/birthdays and we went with the Basic Package. My questions were always answered promptly and they sent plenty of reminders. I love that Twinkle handles almost everything - decor, balloons, and goodie bags. We handled only the playlist and cake. We brought our birthday cake and got the $20 cake-cutting fee waived by bringing our own plates & forks. Twinkle staff cut and served it to all the adults. - The playspace is the best in the city IMO - the designer created this 110% for kids and didn't spare any detail. Slides, fire truck, grocery store, beauty parlor, bakery, pet store, treehouse, spaceship, water play area, cozy coupe cars, and much more. There is something for everyone. Our party was 2 hours long but wish we had 30 more minutes to fully enjoy everything. - Each child got a personal pizza in individual boxes, juice, water, a birthday cupcake, and a goodie bag. We ordered Mozzarella Sticks, Penne Alla Vodka, Chicken Parmigiana, Sausage, and Onions and Peppers (from catering partner https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tonys-pizza-brooklyn-7) and everything was delicious! - Diane, Alexandra, Nicole and Brandon were friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. Diane helped keep everyone on track with the room reveal, group photos, and eating, and closing times. - We received a sweet birthday card enclosed with our free open play pass for my daughter and 1 adult (that came with our Basic Package) Thank you Twinkle!

Twinkle is an amazing place! My 4 year old daughter loves this place. She loves the pretend grocery store, dress up princess salon, pretend tea parlor and pet place. We love coming whenever we can even though we live in Manhattan. It is close to public transport and my nanny also takes my child there via the subway. Twinkle now has a new water table with a brand new mechanical kinetic ball wall. We went last week and my daughter spent the whole afternoon just at that exhibit. She never wants to leave. This is just a magical place and the kids always have a great time. Highly recommend for all parents with little ones!! Always looking forward to coming back.

Its a cute kinda pricey indoor space within williamsburg/greenpoint area. Adults can play with the kids however it is very tight in most spots. So if your claustrophobic (like me) this isn't suitable for you. My daughter had a great time but there was a little kid who kept picking on my child and the nanny dismissed it even after approaching her several time. I think age groups should have their time when to play if they are goinng to be rude and push younger kids out the way. I dont think next time i'll be so polite. However, the staff are super nice and helpful. I would definitely return in the future.

Very cute spot! It's a decent size with lots of little areas of different things. They definitely utilize the space. Also everything looks very nice, cleaned, and sanitized!!

Twinkle is such a cute place and provides and even supercute environment for children ages 6 and under to play in, create in and explore, etc. We came here today for a friend's daughter's 1st Birthday Party and was so surprised to see this awesome space! You name it, Twinkle has it and the children (and also the parents-lol) seemed to enjoy themselves during the party session. Staff were there to greet us at the front desk when we first walked into Twinkle. There is a section to hang your coats. Twinkle enforces a "sock only zone" policy in the playspace, so there is a separate area to put your shoes once you remove them from your feet. Since this was a private party, every guest placed their gift they purchased in the "gift bin" and then proceeded to go into the play area where you have the pleasure of meeting Twinkle's pet bunny named Cassie...she is adorable! Twinkle....let me just repeat that this space is supercute! All of the children got to play in various sections which included "The General Store (Grocery Store) Area, the "Fire Truck" Area, "Fort Tree" Area, "Hardhat Zone" "The Princess Salon", etc. They even have a section called "Young McDonald's Farm" which is for children ages 18 months and younger to play in...there are multiple slides, things to climb on and so many cool interactive activites!! There is small 2nd Floor section called "The Lounge" for the parents which is where we had food to eat while the children ate pizza in children's space. Twinkle has various party packages to choose from and the birthday girls' parents selected the "Princess and Knight's" theme. The girls wore tiaras, they each got a tutu to wear and all had magic wands while the boys wore knight headpieces, etc. The children enjoyed birthday cupcakes...Yes, I got to taste one and it was really good! At the end of the party, each child got to take home a birthday party bag! All in all, it is a nice place to throw a children's party and also to take a child or children where they can play and have a great time! Staff informed me that it is $25 to bring one child to enjoy the playspace during normal business hours....this is key since it is wintertime and parents need places to take their kids where they can play indoors!

Took my daughter to celebrate her Kindergarten classmate's birthday and both the boys and the girls had a ball. This sock only venue had so many things to explore which truly bedazzled the children during their 2-hour party. If necessary, parents are allowed to follow their kids anywhere in the playspace so good luck crawling through those tiny places. Overall, the place looks appealing and well kept, the staff was friendly and we were amused by the additional presence of a face painter and Disney Princess guest during the pizza/cake segment of the party. I'm just unsure if these were part of the venue's actual offerings. If they are, 2 thumbs up for them. Most of us trekked from Manhattan for this particular occasion while some drove. Fortunately the neighborhood is mostly residential, alternate parking rules dominated the block and we came during a Sunday late afternoon so street parking was available. The neighborhood is lucky to have this playspace.

Ask the Community - Twinkle Playspace

How often are things sanitized?

Hi Yunhee! We sanitize everyday before opening and in between our open play sessions. That is why we have a half hour in between each session. We use a misting system to spray a non-hazardous sanitizer to disinfectant the play exhibits, structures… Read more

Why are adults required to pay the same rate as kids? Never heard of this before? Usually parents are free since you don't offer a drop off service. It's not like the parents are there to play.

Hi Bianca, Thanks for reaching out! Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 regulations we are only at 25% capacity right now so every person counts and each extra adult is taking the place of a child who can come in and play. Hope this answer helps!

Hows parking? is there a lot?

No, we happened to find parking, but it's limited, going have to drive around till you find something...

Can the kiddies eat a sandwich or yogurt or something in the play areas?

Yes! We have a small lounge area, where you can bring your own food or order in. We have a microwave, water fountain and vending machine in that area as well for your use!

How much is entrance (first time and subsequent?)Also can both parents go in with the kid?

It's $25 for one adult, 1 child. $5 for the extra adult. Your total would be $30 for two adults and 1 child for the first time. Regular drop in is $35 after your first time. Thanks!

Would this be a good place to bring a one year old (16 month old) or is it geared more for older kids?

Yes. Absolutely

The booking process was easy, and the staff are very responsive through email. They use a portal for the payment, contract, and waivers which is very convenient. When I arrived, the staff were very helpful and gave me the wristbands and vouchers for hot chocolate right away. They explained the bags for storage were an additional cost, even for large groups, but they were nice and gave me additional bags I needed after purchasing two for our group of 40 people. The lines were EXTREMELY long and slow for general admission which is disappointing when the sessions are limited to 1.5 hours. By the time you purchase tickets and get your skates, part of the session is over. Our session didn't end right at the session end time; they seem to give an additional 10-15 minutes after the end time. I wouldn't recommend getting the $2 chocolate add-on for large groups. Students said the hot chocolate wasn't hot and also didn't taste good at all. This was disappointing given the additional cost. Overall, I would recommend this rink but hope they can provide quicker service at the ticket counter as well as at the skate rental.

This was one of my friend's first time camping, and as such, we choose Gateway National Park (Floyd Bennett Field). Here is some information that we wish we had known before booking. Overall, it was good to get out of the city, but there are some downsides as described below. 1) Get some good bug spay cause there are lots of mosquitoes. A couple of trails were actually closed due to the mosquitoes in the area. However, once we lathered ourselves with insect repellent with 99.9% Deet, the bugs didn't mess with us too much. 2) The raccoons come out at night. We were informed that there was a raccoon problem, and that you should put all of your food before dark. The person was right. Make sure you bring something to store the food in (cooler or other locking container) and you will not have any problems. 3) The campsites are pretty much in an open field. Sites T14 and T15 have some privacy, but the rest are open for everyone to see. Also, the grey on the campsite map is a real depiction of the paved areas. The areas surrounding the campsites are old paved runways, so expect cars and motorcycles driving around the area. 4) Noise...what noise? Having previously participated in a couple of 5Ks at Floyd Bennett Field, I knew that there could be some activities there during the day. However, we were truly surprised at the incessant woman on the loudspeaker screaming "3..2..1..GOOO!", the guy practicing landing a helicopter from 2:00 - 8:00 PM, the jets flying over to land at JFK until 11:00 PM (not too bad, because the noise was mostly subdued by the woman on the loud speaker), and the jets taking off starting at 6:00 AM (this was a LOUD wake up call). 5) There are flushable and clean bathrooms by the camp store that are open from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Also, you can purchase firewood at the camp store. The staff there are very friendly and can also provide tips on local food and entertainment.

If you're between the ages of 18-24, you pay only $25/year which is a great deal. I paid $75 for 6 months, and that gives me access to both this Rec Center and the Aquatic Center in Flushing Meadows Park, as well as, any affiliated Rec Center in the 5 boroughs. Plenty of parking available on the street, or you have the option of parking in their lot but there's limited spaces there. And underneath the highway, there's parking available there as well. Inside, once you scan in at the front desk, there's 3 rooms: cardio, free weights and multi-purpose machines. Down the center hall, there's 2 well maintained racquetball courts, and past that is a children's play room and the main gymnasium for basketball and ping pong, as well as, an indoor track. Their racquetball courts cost $7/hour, and the price includes a ball and racket. However, they don't accept cash strangely enough, only credit/debit and check. All 3 rooms are have pretty much the same dimensions..and I pretty much feel the same way about all of them: too small, during busy hours you feel really congested in there. A few of the machines in the multi-purpose room were out-of-order. Treadmills and elliptical machines are not well spaced out. Plus there's no air circulation of any kind making the air in the room really dense. Legit almost feels like a sauna in all 3 rooms. Locker rooms and rest rooms seem well maintained and are relatively clean. There's plenty of decent sized lockers available. Overall, an OKAY Rec Center that can definitely use some improvements!
