No food or drinks are allowed in the play area, but you can eat just right outside the play area. They have party packages, and do arts and crafts nights. You cannot wear shoes inside so bring socks for yourself and your kid. Will definitely be coming here again, my boy had a lot of fun.

When the accident happened, the staff at the time, did not even bring any first aid kit! It was a few parents at the party who went to get a cloth to try to block the bleeding....After rushing him to the emergency room, he was then transferred with an ambulance to a second hospital to get a cat scan...Luckily there was no brain injury just a concussion and he had to get stiches on his nose. The injury was so deep you could literally see bone.. Almost 2 years later, you can still see the scar on his nose. This accident could had been avoided if the staff at the time did not place a metal bench right in front of a limbo game...To top this all off, the owner of this venue, did not have insurance "at the time"...A children's venue without insurance...owner is now claiming that she is going bankrupt....ZERO accountability. One wouldn't think the NY Carousel would be an underrated family activity given its history, but too many folks are unaware that it exists even now. The city has taken great steps to ensure its longevity and anyone looking for kid friendly activity or a little nostalgia has come to the right place. While it is a short ride in the natural beauty of the park, the surrounding space makes it an ideal getaway for families who want to book the space for gatherings of whatever kind. The Carousel itself is the main attraction of course, though there are other rides for kids that range from a train ride to a recently added mini ferris wheel dubbed the "Woodhaven Wheel." Ticket costs for the rides vary, but the last time I checked it was $35 for a 10-pack (i.e. $3.50 a ticket). While there are some small carnival games and story telling sessions, this is not a substitute for any major carnival / amusement park on a bigger scale in any way. Think of this as a place to kill a couple of hours with the young ones. I'd recommend bringing food in and avoiding their options (think hot dogs, small packs of chips, etc.) if at all possible.
