We were asked by no less than 6 employees if they could help find what we were looking for, if we needed help deciding, if we needed more info on how to tend a plant we were looking at. This is NOT the kind of customer service you get in the garden department at generic chain stores, this is... mega service. It was so helpful because we went in with an idea of what we wanted and - rather than letting us buy something that would die immediately in the location we wanted to put it - a helpful fella gave us the pros and cons of our other options or how we could build up the area we wanted to make the sunlight work for us. Options: wow. They have EVERYTHING. We had choices galore! We want pretty flowers, vegetables, fruit trees, decorative greenery, and they have it all. I am almost overwhelmed with the choices they have. How do you pick the prettiest choice when everything is more gorgeous than the last?!?! The prices are pretty great too. We had been looking at fig trees online and they were the same price - but local and you don't have to worry about it dying in transit! And I KNOW this one thrives in this zone, because it is already alive and well in their beautiful outdoor space. There is so much to see, they even have koi, local honey, stained glass plant picks made by a local artist, wind chimes, plant food... I definitely need a bigger yard to make my yard look more like this green Eden. I'll be back for more plants Monday. And for my Christmas tree in November. And many MANY times in between.

Most of them are super knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. I usually come here because it is closer than the orange hardware store to my house. I get really annoyed though, that nothing ever rings up as the sale price that is listed in huge red and white and black letters on their shelves. I've had to come here twice in the last week, and both times the item I have purchased rings up at the non-sale price. The first time I was here, they made me run back to the area of the store to take a picture of the sign on the item and then we had to wait around for a manager to come over and change the price and she had a snarky attitude when she informed me that she'd be willing to change the price this time and honor the price that is clearly listed on their shelves. It happened again today and it's just not worth the effort to wait around for 10 minutes again to get them to honortheir own prices. I also know that most people's experiences are clouded by their own viewpoint and personal experiences, but I feel like I frequently have problems with being overlooked here and ignored, in favor of people who look more like they belong in a hardware store. It comes across as kind of sexist... But again, that's probably just my perception since I come from a male-dominated profession, where I frequently got ignored and overlooked and treated like crap. BUT when I am standing in front of an employee, waiting for him to finish with his current customer and he ignores me in favor of the next construction worker type, and then ignores me AGAIN after I asked for assistance... Pretty sure if the third guy hadn't said "ummmm, she was here first", I never would have been helped. And THEN, he didn't even look to tell me that the lawnmower battery I was looking for was out of stock and back ordered since it wasn't on the shelf. Which was pretty hard to believe, especially when I placed an online order for pickup, and they text me half an hour later to tell me that my order was ready to pickup... I've also had trouble getting them to cut boards (the saw is not working), and use the ladder to get high items. I've pretty much just given up and I use their big ladders without their help. Last complaint is that the landscaping in the parking lot needs tending, quite a few of their handicapped parking spaces have overgrown tree branches scraping up the top and sides of my car.
