I had the worst experience in this store. Being new to the area, I wanted to align myself with…read moregiving my business to people that looked like me. Not only was he super expensive but he lied to me. I had an extender put on my 1 karat diamond pendant that I've had for more than 40 years. The original box chain has never broken, I just wanted it to hang longer with a new piece of jewelry I'm wearing. I also needed a new lobster clasp on an anklet. The extender alone cost more than 125.00. When picking up my jewelry I asked if his work, et. was warranty and he replied it was. I didn't wear my jewelry out of the store I didn't put my necklace on until going to my uncle's celebration of life ceremony. I walked out of the shower and it fell to the floor. I looked at it and saw the spring clasp was missing. I took it back to the store the owner said yes the spring clasp is gone and proceeded to quote me 75.00 for repair. I was shocked and reminded him that he told me his work was under warrant. He chuckled and told me his work was under warranty as long as it's in his store and the minute I leave with it, it's no longer under warranty since he's not responsible for the merchandise in my possession. I told him that didn't make sense and 99.9% of jewelry, merchandise, stuff have some type of warranty and based on what he saying now, he intentionally misled and lied to me. He chuckled and said so hear this, if I let you drive my car and you have an accident do you expect my insurance company to pay to fix it and I said of course, your insurance would pay and if you had a deductible my insurance or myself would pay. He said that's not how I do my business and I'm not going to argue with you. I said, who's arguing I thought we were having a conversation. He said, ok I'll give that but that not how I operate and I told him he was upset because his analogy proved him wrong. He said no I don't work that way and laughed. Since I was th only customer in the store I let him know that he was shady and I should stopped when I saw his cases of knock off LV/Chanel purses and sunglasses with $300/$500 dollar price tags and people like him give bad vibes to customers trying to support people who look like themselves. I told him that he is a disgrace to honest entrepreneurs that should be trusted, because I'll think twice about giving my business to others that look like me in this area being a new resident because of his janky action.

We walked in and was immediately greeted and welcomed with a smile. We did tell the lady that we were just looking around and she was telling us about the background of her shop and how she specialize in custom jewelry which we found interesting and the jewelry in the display cases shows the work they put in to creating their one of a kind peices. They had pendants that I have never seen before and the concept was beautiful. I found a ring that I thought was beautiful and she let me try it on since it was pink. Overall if I could customize a peice of jewelry especially a ring, I would order it here since the work looked beautiful and you could see the love put into it.

I thought that was a fair price and so I agreed to the repair. When I picked up my jewelry there was no holder.I was told that the original O ring was soldered. I had no idea that the O ring needed any type of repair. The O ring is very small and on the receipt there was a large O ring drawn which I assumed was the holder. Upon closer inspection I can see that the drawing was referring to the original O ring, but no one explained to me that the original O ring was an issue. I brought the pendant home and placed a swinging holder on the O ring just as I had it before the repair and that is how i will wear it. I am right back to where I was before I spent $29. I wanted a non swinging holder to prevent the pendant from swinging. I have used this business before for jewelry repairs and was completely satisfied. I will never ever take any jewelry to this business again. I feel as if I was a victim of a switch and bait scheme. It is a lesson learned. I should have checked the BBB for a review, but this business is not registered on their site. That should be a warning for everyone. Make sure you get your expectation in writing before you do business with any business. Just beware. We are living in a time that integrity and trust is not to be assumed.

I brought it in and they told me it would take about a week and they were done appraising it in about a day. I think it helped that I had all the paperwork that mentioned what kind of stones and metals were used in my ring. When I brought the ring in, I was helped immediately and given a yellow piece of paper to bring in when I returned. They asked for my full legal name and address. They gave me a call when they were done. When I returned, I showed the slip, got my ring back, and an appraisal sheet. They had me review the sheet to make sure everything was written correctly before getting the Appraiser's signature. This cost me $90, which after some research seemed to be the cheapest and most affordable cost for an engagement ring appraisal. It's a tiny shop with Carytown style parallel parking out front. The only downside about this shop is that it smells like cigarettes, but I was in and out of there so quickly this didn't affect my experience. Plus I got great service! I highly recommend visiting.

He took it to the back each time he adjusted it. Once he had gotten it to my liking he went to the register and spent almost the same amount of time fumbling with the register as he did adjusting the watch. Then, he says, "$10". I fork it over but $10? Thats steep for a 5 minute adjustment. I went home and after a few days it felt too tight so I looked up the method to adjusting the band and what I found was disheartening. It is such a simple process, just use a flathead screw driver and flip the clip up, done. This man charged me $10 for that.
