I honestly cannot say enough good things about Mark and Petersburg Jeweler. If I could give more…read morethan five stars, I absolutely would. My wife and I visited Petersburg Jeweler this past Saturday, and she brought several pieces of jewelry that Mark will be taking apart and completely redesigning into new pieces. After seeing what he can do and talking with him about his work, it quickly became apparent that this isn't simply a jewelry store -- Mark is an incredibly talented craftsman and designer who truly knows his trade. While we were there, Mark cleaned my wedding rings as well as another diamond ring for me while we waited. I have had jewelry professionally cleaned before, but nothing even comes close to the job Mark did. When he handed my rings back to me, I was genuinely blown away. They didn't just look clean -- they looked better than new. The diamonds absolutely sparkle, and even the metal itself looks incredible. I honestly had forgotten just how beautiful these rings could look. I also left him a Tiffany chain that my wife and I had originally given to my mother. It has tremendous sentimental value to me, and I wanted Mark to lengthen it so that I could wear it myself from time to time. I also left another chain with him to clean. Once again, the quality of his work was outstanding. What impressed us just as much as the craftsmanship was how Mark treated us. He took his time, answered our questions, explained things, and never once made us feel rushed. There was no pressure and no feeling that he was trying to hurry us along to get to the next customer. The entire experience was personal, professional, and first-class from beginning to end. Knowing that Mark has the background and experience of having worked as a lead jewelry designer before opening his own business makes perfect sense once you see his work. This is someone who clearly takes tremendous pride in his craft. There are plenty of places where you can buy jewelry. Petersburg Jeweler is where I would go when the jewelry actually matters. Whether it is a valuable piece, something sentimental, a repair, a redesign, or simply making a treasured piece look spectacular again, Mark has earned our trust. We walked in as first-time customers and walked out knowing we had found our jeweler. Absolutely exceptional experience. Five stars without hesitation. Highly, highly recommended.

I've been looking for a chain for a good while and one of the employees Anita really worked hard to make sure we could find a chain that I'd be interested in. She helped me try it on and helped me clasp it, because I was struggling with that part. I liked the help so I made the purchase. I like that the item was going to need to be extended, and Anita said that she can extend it (the length) for me and she would have it ready for me shortly. I only walked past the store today by happenstance but I got a purchase that I've been waiting to make and that just made this a good Sunday. Thank you for your attention I Anita hopefully I'll be back. My item even comes with a theft warranty that she explained to me and a great lifetime warranty. If you are trying to decide on a jewelry store in the mall then this would be a great option. Very helpful makes a very good experience.

The piercing is free, but your price will be based off of the earrings you select. My son got home & cleaned his ears. They suggest cleaning them 3x daily (breakfast/lunch/dinner). This was a good experience for him. I'm praying he doesn't let this one close up. If he does, he will be paying for the next piercing on his own. I highly recommend this store.

As usual, there was a staff member eating/drinking at the counter. That must be the norm. I give her a pass because at least she spoke when I came in. She stopped what she was doing to handle my return & it didn't take much of my time. I went in for that one thing & was in/out in less than 10 mins, and I was the only customer in there. I just wish that they would eat/drink in the employee area and out of the customer's view. I just think that's unprofessional. Masks are required & distancing is suggested. The store was tidy & being cleaned as I walked in. I would go back if I had a return for sure.

It's two dollars which is a pretty good deal, but just hope and pray that the disc is inside the box. I found a CD that I haven't seen in a long time and wanted, but there was no disc inside so I assumed that they keep all that stuff labeled in the back. (Similar to how Game Stop does it.) I paid the two dollars and the cashier lady told me that there was no disc inside and I asked if they keep them in the back and she said they didn't. Then she told me that she would just throw it away (She did.) for me and told me to have a good day. So I'm sitting there like "Do I either get a refund or should I go get another CD?!?!" She look confused! I mean I know it's only two dollars but seriously you wouldn't even offer me a refund?!? You're just gonna throw it away until you have a good day?!?! Later I asked another employee about the whole situation and he said that it's ridiculous that they'll allow the CDs to be inside the cases when they know people steal them. He told me for as long as he's been working there he recommends that you don't buy the music or CDs.

I think their packing needs some review to prevent this in the future. Until then, I don't recommend an online order from this facility.

My other half was not so confident about what I was told I needed to provide. I was told we did not have to bring in every item we purchased from the Va Beach Store, only items that we physically would be returning or exchanging. While I was removing every item, box and bag from my vehicle, my Fiancée decided to abandon me and enter the store. After wiping away a tear, from her abandonment, I noticed she was greeted by a guy at the front door. She was greeted, given a handshake, and was even told the employees name. When I walked in, not much later, I was also given a handshake and was greeted by LaMont. He went way above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He assured my other half that he would always take care of us, and that we only needed to provide what was stated over the phone. He made sure that she would not have to worry about bringing every box, to every console, with all games we ever bought, from any/all stores over the last 10 years (including all bags), even if she was just being "prepared". He just stated that he would take care of us, would make sure to tell us what we needed to provide, and would make sure we always left happy. LaMont was called Larry or Lamore by my other half, which I addressed to him, and acknowledged that she just is not good with names. She believed my name was my phone number for the longest time, so we can not blame the name issue. I can BLAME LaMont for being an amazing employee at this gamestop and taking care of our needs. I will be returning from this point forward to see "LAMORE" aka LaMont, for all my gaming needs! I am pretty sure this is the first Yelp Review for this location, and prob the most Epic!!! LaMont, You definitely made our day if not week/year. Joe Ellis
