I needed to grab a few things while out of town and this Target that's new to me was nearby. I was able to find most of what i typically get at Target, but not all. The store was just an OK for me. Many of the areas I shopped were messy, had sale signs on the floor. When checking out there was no staff. Every checkout was self and long. Worst Target out there! No one is working the registers. Everyone is in the return line checking out! Why??? There were 8 people in line getting rung up at the Return desk. Waited 15 minutes to do my return but was accosted by an older white maga couple. The husband was a dementia patient that looked like he had had a stroke. I guess he didn't like my black clothes & started cussing at me & shouting with his fist in the air. He kept cussing at me, making no sense whatsoever- while his wife tried to shhhhhhh him & cover his mouth with her hand. This is the worst target i have ever been to. worse than the worst walmart ive been to. Very very dirty, trashcans outside overflowing, trash in the parking lot, trash all over the carpet as you enter...i walked in and there were no carts inside, nor were there baskets. i asked a worker where they were, she said "i guess they're outside" and proceeded to return to what she was doing, i was like what am i supposed to carry my stuff in? she didn't care enough to help me. Shelves were empty, i've never seen a target like that. whole sections where almost nothing was on the shelves. when i was leaving the store there were still no carts inside... i will drive as far as i need to never visit this target again. read more

Unfortunately when I bent down directly in front of this peg I was not able to see it and it sliced my scalp open; needed 5 stitches. Target stated it's part of their planogram to place the pegs above the second shelf from the ground, so just be extra aware for yourself or your kids. Left some blood on the peg and the employees didn't know what to do with it. I brought it up to someone to ask for a biohazard bag. read more

I am genuinely concerned for this location. The vibe has always seemed off but my recent visit pushed me over the edge. I did a pickup order and for the most part things seemed alright. It wasn't until I began baking that I realized that they gave me a jar of organic peanut butter that expired back in APRIL. When I went to go exchange the product, I saw they had several expired jars on the shelf. Most organic nut butters lack the preservatives to keep shelf stability beyond the expiration date and can easily develop microspores. Had I not noticed the expiration date, I could've seriously harmed someone . I seriously hope they get their act together because this is unacceptable. read more

I am a big fan of Target in general, but I particularly like how this one has such friendly, wonderful employees. They are generally very well-stocked, are very clean. The order pickup is usually very fast, and they have always been super helpful. I much prefer this location to the nearby ones because it is always so much friendlier and tidier. read more

I absolutely love shopping at Target! I don't think I ever have any bad experience with this chain. I can get items that are out of stock in-store to be shipped to Target for free and pick it up at any convenient location. Whenever I return an item, the associate is friendly and always ready to help. In Target, you'll first notice the bullseye's playground section when you walk in, also known as the Target Dollar Spot. It changes with seasonal gifts, goodies, partyware, crafts, and trendy items! So don't be surprised to see something different each time. Right now, Target is having cute fall and Halloween decor. They have a variety of clearance sales and their baby clothing section is cute. I get most of my friends and family baby shower gifts here. Even though most of the time I don't necessarily need anything, I always come out with more than what I came for. Target is a trap! I understand that this is a chain and it can't be that different one chain to the next, but let me tell you that there can be a huge difference. The staff at this Target are very friendly and chatty. It really helps with your shopping experience knowing the people that work here actually put effort into helping you out because I've been to targets where the employees didn't really seem to want to be at work or just not helpful in general. I always got the help I needed and the employees were very proactive in coming up to me to ask if I needed any assistance. This is my go to place for a quick grocery pick up or shopping for household goods. Great clean facility, definitely prefer to come here than other local stores for the things I need. OK, so I was in Chester (the outer edge of the internet) and I needed to kill some time and big box stores are usually where I go. This one was the closest and it's a pretty typical Target: big parking lot, registers, prepared food, clothes, electronics, etc. It was eerily quiet in here, but that's not a bad thing, and it was also clean. This is my third time here . I like the selection of items, but today I needed to return some items. Not sure how I feel about the Customer Service counter being located in the same section as checkout. Not convenient since I was just making a return. Usually when I've had to make a return at Target, I've been fortunate enough for the Custimer Service line to be empty :) My reaction could also be related to the fact that this is the first Target I've been to where the returns/customer service is set up this way. read more

Nice bright store with a wide selection. Has a food court and Starbucks. Target is a little pricey but it is worth it.

I purchased a wireless speaker for my nephew for Christmas from the Brandermill store (gave to him before the holiday) and when he went to use it the speaker didn't work so the Chester store is closest to them. My parents went on vacation Christmas week so I took a picture of the barcode knowing that it's 2018 and you don't need to have a piece of paper necessarily. My dad brought the speaker up there today and they tried to tell him he needed the paper receipt when I sent my dad & nephew a photo of the receipt /gift receipt with barcode. They said to exchange you need the paper due to "fraudulent" activity??? For one we had the barcode on the phone of the receipt which was able to be scanned which to me should tie it directly to that product. They say it's store policy but on the back of the receipt it blatantly says they promise to honor returns by scanning your receipt....no where doesn't it say scanning a paper receipt. What if I lived out of state? You are telling me if I gave something to someone as a gift they have to have paper receipt when target policy says nothing about that on back of receipt. For one it's not even a return it's an exchange for a working product. Finally the manager honored it but look at what my dad had to go through to get a working product in place of the defective one I bought for my nephew. I've been saying this for a long while but customer service is a lost art. Either that or it was due to my father being African American which I hope was not the case. Do better Target!! read more
