I found a quilt there for $30, and also bought some handmade greeting cards, some beautiful jewelry and some knick knacks. Her displays were appealing, and the whole shop is charming and welcoming. If I'm ever back in Old Town Petersburg, this humble little haven will be on my revisiting list!

The clothing they had here was gawdy, and strange. It wasn't vintage or antique. They seem to be a different kind of shop that makes strange ornate goods for your bedroom or living spaces, They had a desk and set up for interior design appointments (?) I don't understand this place, It didn't seem to have anything to offer, and it isn't the kind of shop you'd go to to pick something out to wear or furniture to put in your home directly from the floor. A crew member was standing around gossiping with a coworker near the bathing suit section & every other word out of his mouth was a curse word. I was shocked that he was that loud and no one corrected him. He acted just like he wasn't at work. Anyway...the bathing suit selection wasn't that huge. When I finally found one I could settle for, the dressing rooms were shut down. There was no way I was going to buy it, try it on at home, and then bring it back. That was way too much work. So, I just got the other things I went there for & checked out. The guy was super nice & helpful. Masks are required & social distancing is suggested. Some things are absolutely stunning but in all honesty---rather expensive. They have to hunt down all these objects, clean them up, and pay for their space in the store so I get it. Personally, I'd rather find neat things on my own. I did buy a cool bankers lamp for my office and the price was actually quite respectable and the lamp unique. This is a fun place and there are always fun little things up front that are very affordable if you don't like leaving empty handed.

My aunt decorated her first salon with the gorgeous rattan/wicker furniture, unique plants, actual pottery and dried flora. I tried my first makeup here, a sample of the first clean pressed powder and clear mascara, giving natural glam at 15. One of the few regrets in life was not purchasing this massive, unpolished, solid wood, ornately carved chest for $90. Im sure I would still have it. Snacks and foods to fuel the searches, tucked away in warehouses, it was interesting. But everything comes to an end.... This new Pottery is over priced, deserted and it appears to be a town centre-styled strip mall with the big building letters on its sides. Not too many unique items unless you're interested in a $800 Adirondack chair or a $300 iridescent glazed flower pot. Please rename this place, it is not "The Pottery".
