Wow, no reviews since 2018?!! That's shockingly wrong! I recently moved here from Boston and have…read morewaited patiently for this intriguing place to be open. Sporadic hours but family obligations. Got lucky today and spent a lovely time browsing, marveling, hooting at the treasures to be found. The Real Deal: very unusual vintage/antique items from toys, books, household decor, clothing, jewelry. Funkiness is the theme and to devoted vintage lovers, this is pure magic. Rummage through dusty bins, shelves, tables, walls, visit the adjoining rooms and find wrought iron garden decor, ancient puppets & board games, fancy hats, dressing table accessories, shoes, things that had no name but definitely a purpose. Joan, the proprietor, is welcoming, chatty, eager to help you find what you didn't realize you wanted/needed. Olde Towne Petersburg has a real jewel here on N. Market Street.

(Sorry, I'm gushing, I'm in some serious love with this place right now) There are light fixtures, radio's, tvs, clocks, phones, shirts, shoes, hats, dresses, picture frames, posters, magazines, comics, bed rails, head boards and foot boards, spindles for staircases, doors, Windows, mirrors, trinkets, toys, cups, plates, fancy China, basic kitchen wear, aprons, wall decoration, quilts, fabric, curtains, chairs ... my god. I could go on but I won't. Everything it priced accordingly to date, age, degree of usefulness etc. But it's reasonably priced. You won't think you're getting gouged. They appear to have an eye for pricing things correctly. Though not everything in there is priced to sell. Their vintage Tvs were pretty expensive. ( knowing my vintage market extremely well, their vintage prices were spot on and a little low even for some things.) The customer service is a little ... personalized (?) Felt like they weren't exactly overly helpful, but they weren't angry or annoyed when I continued to ask for help - almost like they treated me like they knew me and weren't overly excited to see me. Haha This place is a goldmine.

From the window displays to the well organized booths, it was a joy to pop by the various vendors and take a gander at all their treasures! We constantly stopped in the aisles and said to each other "Look at this!" Or "Remember these?" So many nostalgic pieces which brought back fond memories! I had a hand held basket which quickly was filled with cool items. I collect topsy-turvy dolls and found one here, swizzle sticks, fabric, figurines and a unique quirky Mad Hatter doll! Whatever you are looking for, you're bound to find here! They carried vintage comic books, glassware, photography equipment, bar ware, toys, jewelry, furniture, textiles, coins, and tons more! This store was clean, the vendors pay attention to detail, and the prices were so reasonable! We checked out easily and the folks there were hospitable, helpful and jovial. We had a blast and I saw several other pieces that I would've love to carry home. I suppose that means I'll be coming back to this funky, fun, and fabulous antique shop next time I'm in the little community of Disputanta!!
