Redecorating? Looking for that definitive piece to make your room pop? Going for that "WOW"…read morefactor? Get ready to be inspired! This is the place for you! Peruse room after room of creatively designed decor that will add pizzazz to your nest! From gorgeous garden urns to wrought iron to terra cotta pottery, the first booth on your right has a classic and impressive selection of gardenware. Further down you will find a modern, sleek booth designed with funky retro pieces, light fixtures, vintage bar ware, simplistic furniture and mirrors that beckon a revisited 60's vibe. Madmen eat your heart out! Various other rooms feature classic sofas and dining sets, Asian inspired decor, Tole trays, vintage luggage, rugs and more. One booth featuring chandelier pieces will dazzle your senses! Whether you are looking to replace a crystal for your existing chandelier or would like a customized masterpiece, Holly Grove Repair & Restoration has prisms and crystals that outshine any competitor. I hang several different pieces in my window to create an array of rainbows all over my room when the sun reflects these sparkling beauties. Remember the "refracted light" scene from Pollyanna? Magical!! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint booth! The original chalk paint and the best quality there is... don't settle for knock offs! Come see for yourself, Project 1 is a feast for the eyes. Be sure to visit David at the sales desk! He knows his stuff and is as charming and delightful as a Prince! I was looking for a specific piece and he directed me to the perfect addition to my collection! He's a gem!

While I was in the area today, I stopped into this paint store hoping to get ideas for my kitchen,…read morewhich I am thinking about re-doing. The store is on a weird tiny side street at Parham and Broad, tucked into an overlooked shopping center... at first I thought it could be a hardware store... but then I saw it was all focused on painting. The layout of the store seems very much like it's focused on contractors, though I was helped by the manager Glen Balke and he said he has lots of retail customers too. The store itself has a small front area for shopping, and then the rest looks like its storage... As the name implies, the only paint they sell is Porter. So in terms of selection, it's not the same as going to Lowes and browsing a bunch of collections. Porter does have a nice display of color choices, and the manager proactively gave me a whole book of samples to take home- which is pretty much a guaranteed way to ensure I end up going back to buy, since I'll be using those paint samples to match up fabrics I'm buying etc. Aside from color choices, they also have tons of painting supplies like brushes and ladders, etc. so handymen and contractors do probably go here to stock up... While I didnt ask for too many details about the different paint types (seems premature since I am not even sure I want to redo the kitchen just yet, and I still have to paint my bedroom) it looked like you would need a sales associate to walk you through the store and explain everything to you- they have a lot of choices and sell a lot of different types of paint that I have no idea what the difference is to regular paint- it's not really that user friendly to shop on your own. But, a sign over the counter listed the promises the store makes to its customers and #1 was that you will be greeted promptly and have a great service experience, which I did. I usually don't like to have help when I shop, but I would definitely come back and let them guide me through buying paint and supplies...
