When we go to Dahlonega, this is our place to eat. Great ambiance. An old house with dollar bills on the walls and a really friendly staff I usually get one of their great burgers or fish and chips. Both are yummy and it's always a hard decision on which one to choose. My wife opts for the shepherds pie. Always! It is a generous helping and it is packed with good flavors. They have an extensive menu and for really good pub food, you'll love it. read more

Shenanigans provided a great atmosphere and good service, but the food was just average. The shepherd's pie was not too flavorful and the reuben could have piled on more corned beef. There were multiple bites with no meat. read more

Fantastic place!! I had the southwest Ireland shrimp wrap and my fiancé had fish and chips. He said they were some of the best fish and chips he's had! Wrap was very fresh and good portion. The first time we ate here it was amazing. A year later the food was very good as well. The service has always been good as well. My favorite place is Bourbon Street but this comes in a close second when we are in Dahlonega. read more

Horrible. Where do I begin.. first we get forgotten as we saw families seated after us receive food before our order was taken. Then our appetizers arrives as our main courses came out. The sampler platter (fries, chips, onion rings) was cold to touch. My main the Shepard pie was far from a Shepard pie. More a bowl of stew with a scoop of mash placed on top. My wife's "fish and chips" was falling apart over cooked and came with potato chips instead of the "fry" style "chips" we expected from an "authentic" Irish pup. A real big let down. First time here & it was tasty. We were given pretty good portions & food didn't take long to come out. They were busy & our waiter did what he could to check on us. We had several servers check on us, so that was nice. The Kitchen Staff seemed to love their job. I saw a few dancing while completing orders. The sausage dip reminded me of a sausage queso dip my husband likes to make, but this one is thicker. About six kid menu items to choose from, i.e., mac n cheese, quesadilla, chicken fingers, etc. My husband loved the honey-glazed chicken & the dip stood out to me more than my fish & chips--a cool place to grab a bite to eat or a brew. read more

Outstanding in every respect! Reception at my hotel provided the recommendation, and I'm so pleased that they did. Shenanigans is a "well-oiled machine", and gets all aspects of an upscale casual dining establishment spot-on. I was seated by the kitchen, and you can immediately tell how well both the back of the house and the servers make things happen. As an "Irish Pub"-themed place, they have (of course) a plethora of meat entrees. I am plant-based, and the Arbor burger was just outstanding. I doubt I will find myself in that part of Georgia ever again, but if I am, I will go out of my way to enjoy a meal at Shenanigans! read more

Disappointing. Some of the reviews led me to believe that "maybe" they made some food from scratch. Unfortunately we had two frozen burgers warmed on a grill and brought out way too quick to believe that any real effort went into making them. Fries were obviously under a heat lamp for awhile. Patty melt was just a burger with onions on grilled bread. It's all fresh from the freezer and bland. If you want to snack while drinking a Guinness I guess it's ok. But don't come here expecting a great meal. Not gonna happen. read more

My favorite local hang! Best drinks and food. I'm a regular customer and will be for life! The Rubin is my favorite, I suggest upgrading to the beer batter onion rings and drinking a Guinness beer with it. Look for the shamrock if you enjoy Guinness! My favorite personal touch. M Zelenko read more

VERY IMPRESSED Friday night I took my girlfriend out for a nice dinner, the last time I was here was about average you can look at my old review. This time I had an amazing time, though it was busy we got our appetizers and entrées out with little wait . The service was amazing and the food was delicious. Not to mention the great ambiance . Overall I was blown out of the water, not to mention the price was so worth it. For an appetizer and alcoholic beverage for my girlfriend, and two entrées my ticket was just around $50. Lived in Dahlonega and ate here regularly for 5 years before I moved to Asheville 2 years ago. I was back in town and ate lunch on Sunday. I had a new bartender and trainer that was very nice. The only thing saving this place is nostalgia and the great service. Unfortunately, though the food and well to a lesser extent, their beverages are let's just see barely scrapping the bottom part of mediocre. I hope I'm wrong here, but I feel like this restaurant like many of the only establishments in dahlonega are owned by very greedy, selfish people with no concern for the customers that are going to their establishments. I think everything that's wrong with this place could be fixed if the owner was satisfied with less money at the end of the month,and putting more than a couple of slices of ham on a sandwich, or actually making a good product, but no, they're just interested in sucking on tourist and the poor locals that have to frequent this horrible establishments. read more

This is a weekly place for us. The food is great, the atmosphere fun, and the staff are on the ball and friendly.

My wife and I visited Dahlonega yesterday and stopped in for lunch. She had the Philly steak sandwich and I chose the Reuben with onion rings on the side. Our food was delivered promptly, hot and tasty. The service was excellent with attention to our drink refills and other requests. We will be back when in town. read more

The last time I took an out of town guest visitor to eat at Shenanigans they had the speakers BLASTING MUSIC 500% too loud as if I was in underground Atlanta in 1995! Broad daylight, on a weekend and I had a massive headache shouting and unable to comprehend my friends words! Worst of all I had already left my seat twice to request the VOLUMN be lowered to no avail for 20 minutes as the inside group of diners sat at our tables looking at each other in silence or having to shout at each other as in open baseball field sports event. Dining should be an enjoyable experience with background subtle sounds, not a survival contest of raised blood pressure from external deciliters. The food was once super great in my years past but servings were much less & I left slighted and still hungry for my $35 last two dining experiences. read more

We enjoyed some brews as well as the Fish & Chips and the Steak and Spuds. I just moved to the Dahlonega area from Fl. And not only is there food fresh and so delicious. The whole staff from the bartenders to the servers to even the kitchen crew and host. I don't think I've experienced one moment of feeling a part of the community through this restaurant. Through feeling so welcomed bye the staff all the other relationships I'm building through the other guest is exactly as welcoming to the community it's the best customer service hands down then any other establishment that I've attendees in the month in a half I've lived now in the dahlonega are. I don't cook and even know I eat the same thing every time the muscles and linguine it's so fresh and cooked the same regardless what cook cooks it consistency is key to me and it has been. Such a positive attitude towards the people doesn't mater gay straight purple pink all is so welcomed bye everyone it's great thank you five stars for sure wish there were more to give. read more
