I always like stopping by here on the way to vegas for an interesting cola. Clean restroom next time and I'll give it 4 stars. read more

Hidden gem. I stopped here for first time in 2009 to get some snacks and full my tank. I surprised with all the freak stuff of this gas station: zoltar (from "Big" movie"), a waterfall urinals (for men), and a lot of funny drinks and postcards. Since that time I've back there several times. Awesome read more

Here's the deal, if you leave Vegas on a drive back to SoCal anytime after 11am - you are going to sit in traffic and you are going to stop here just to console your spirit. Yes, we left after lunch, yes, it took us 5 hours to go what should take one, and yes, we needed a pit stop, gas and to be out of the car! They overcharge because they can. Quite frankly they should. I'm sure most of their customers are using the bathroom, and I'm sure most of their business is on Sunday. God bless them for being the overpriced oasis that they are in the middle of the desert. I for one was willing to pay a premium price to use the facilities and stretch. That said, I hope to never ever ever visit this place gas station again! God Bless America! read more

GAS AT OVER $4 per gallon!!! It was around $4.30 I believe. Or we can put it this way: it took $30 to fill up my tank half way (I usually pay around $50-55 for a full tank). This pricing is expected. Even my bf warned me. Shell is located about 30 minutes out of Vegas, leaving the Strip. I know if you go a bit further (20ish miles) you'll hit Arco. GHETTO GAS STATION. When we were here, a guy was getting arrested. No one was making a scene, but still, not the best gas station. read more

Great architecture inside this Shell Station, high gas prices, but a nice "stretch your legs" Station to browse at the inside ceilings and gift shop offerings and to make a pit stop. Will be stoppping here again in the future! Check it out when you get a chance! read more

Shell - Ceiling architecture inside the Cima Shell gas station, just south of State Line NV and just north on the outskirts of Baker CA. Must see! - Gas Stations Near Me - Nipton, California

Heading out to Vegas from LA, I was running low on gas. I had a brain fart and didn't think to fill up as we were leaving Baker. So when the gas light popped up, thoughts of being stranded somewhere on the desert border of Cali and Nevada filled my head... Then spotted this Shell station. And as expected, gas prices were insane since it's out in the middle of nowhere; about a dollar more than average. But I had to bite the bullet, so I filled up just enough to get to Vegas. At least it was in a place where I needed it. Aside from that, it makes for an interesting pit stop. You can buy jerky and hot sauces there. Was tempted to buy some since I've been boycotting Alien Fresh Jerky [http://www.yelp.com/biz/alien-fresh-jerky-baker-2#hrid:e2yhVqwUSHGM_v7uJcdGNA]. And you can buy fool's gold here. read more

I give it four only because the price for the gas was CRAZY! But I was running low, so I stopped. After pumping, the machine did not give me the receipt so I went inside to get it. It was a good thing it brought me inside, because it was a pleasant surprise in the middle of nowhere. cute gifts, coffee, pastries, jerky, and clean bathrooms. It's a place unlikely to be traveled, but I'll need to come explore when I have more time to look around. read more

Shell - If you are running low on fuel while you're on your way to Vegas don't stop here, but if you must, then definitely go inside :) - Gas Stations Near Me - Nipton, California

I love how gas prices in SoCal have Skyrocketed these past couple of days. Gas was at $5.60 for 87, though it was my fault for stopping here. Luckily here was here. We were low on gas driving to Vegas passing Baker but we continued driving and our little Fuel light decided to turn on...Nice! On the drive past Baker we spotted a little gas station and as we were getting ready to exit the Freeway we noticed it looked like was closed down for a few decades. Lucky there was a Trailer of some sort of Trailer saying this Shell gas Station was 13 miles away off Cima Rd. We arrived 13 miles later on only fumes. Saw the Price was almost $6 for the lowest grade gas so we put in a 20 only to find out it only filled 3 gallons...Nicer! We took advantage of our pit stop to use the restrooms and buy a Soda in the Shop. The Mens room did have the whole Mining/prospector theme going so it was better than seeing your usually generic Mens room at a Service Station although the cleanliness could have been a little better. The Urinal looked a waterfall or fountain and the sink looked like a stream to search for gold. That was pretty cool. The Store did have some cool Kick-Knacks and souvenirs as well as a nice little candy shop (which appeared to not only be a store but candy factory as well). ...Still not happy about the gas prices, but I'm sure that's how they get you when you're stuck out in the middle of Nowhere, California and with no fuel which is why I almost considered rating a one star, but the shop itself made it a little cooler. read more

Super clean, super fun. Rock waterfall urinal in the boy's room. Stellar jerky and soda selection. And an animatronic gold miners scene out front. I ended up skipping Vegas to hang out here ;D read more

Shell - Don't forget to pay a visit to the grizzled old prospectors... they move and talk! - Gas Stations Near Me - Nipton, California

Just got alerted of credit card fraud from this gas station. So far I have lost $450. Be careful here.

The fuel prices here are absolutely ridiculous! While you can fill up before or after this gas station, if you find yourself in a situation where you absolutely need to refuel and must stop here, be prepared to get your wallet out and pay an extra dollar more per gallon than you normally would (my guess, convenience fee). Although the gas is super, crazy expensive (waaaay more than the cost in Vegas), the staff is nice and the restrooms are very clean. Great place if you need to use the restroom before you roll into Vegas to get your party on, but you better hope you can make it to Vegas on the fuel you have. read more

The guys working totally hooked me up! I stopped in to fill up on gas and asked them to toss my gift card that I thought had nothing left on it. Not long after they stopped me to tell me I still had a balance! That was so cool that they caught that! I think that's a good luck charm if any on my way to Vegas with a full tank of gas! read more

Never stopped here before until I had to make a restroom stop. I was surprised it had so much character.. I was expecting it to be like the other creepy gas stations that line the 15. The people working there were very friendly as well. read more

Shell - Cool knick knack paddy whacks but you pay an absolute shit ton for gas. 5 dollars a gallon. I would've never stopped if I knew - Gas Stations Near Me - Nipton, California

Quite the interesting place. Of all my years of driving to vegas, I always saw this gas station in the middle of nowhere between baker and Primm. I usually stop either at Barstow, Baker, or Primm, on the way in or out, but this time traffic coming back to so cal was insane and natural was calling. Everyone else had the same idea and the lines to the bathrooms were insane. The parking lot is huge but there are very limited gas pumps. The store itself was had quite interesting things, from normal convenience store options to jerky to a collection of unique pop bottles to a little deli. read more

Living in Vegas and wanting to get my big Lotto ticket, I drove to prim at 11PM only to find out the Lotto Store closed at 8pm. Figured since I was this far, I would head to Baker. On the way to Baker I saw the lights of the Shell Station on the Cima Rd exit. I pulled up to the store, walked up to the counter when the young man told me they stopped selling Lotto at 8PM. It was almost midnight. I inquired as to where I might go in Baker when the manager or owner if I was going to do a quick pick and how much I was going to spend. He instructed the clerk to go in back and print me a ticket. The clerk came out, I handed him the money and he slipped me my ticket. I did not have to go to Baker. Yay Me! I don't know why I was the chosen one but I was thankful. This place rocks! read more

We stopped here for gas during our ghost town adventures in the Mohave National Preserve. Pretty clean gas station, and an entire wall dedicated to beef jerky, what more could you ask for? Oh yeah, that's right, you get to pee on a rock waterfall if you're a dude. The urinal thing while cool is kind of annoying, it takes up a lot of space and is really close to the sink (which is cool in design as well) so you're peeing almost back to back with the person washing their hands. There also is only a single stall, and there was a bit of a line when we were there. I think they should spend less energy on novelty and more on practicality/size... read more

Waterfall urinal is the only interesting thing here. Fill up your gas in Baker or Primm.

I was running on vapor from LA and had no choice but to stop.. was scared I was going to end up on the side of the road. The gas was stupid expensive. Expensive enough that I was grateful to gas up in Vegas and then again in Los Angeles! Also location at night is a little creepy - totally felt like I was in a B horror flick. kept checking over my shoulder. but I could pay with my card, didn't get bothered by anyone and if I had to go in I am sure it wouldn't have been a problem. read more

The store has two lines one for groceries and gas the other for lottery Waited in line for over an hour for lottery tickets but people were cutting the line by buying small items and gas and were able to buy lottery tickets which is bullshit. The grocery line had no wait. read more

Price gougers! Gas was like 5 dollars plus+ Lady was incredibly rude, and when I asked for a cup for water, she wanted to charge me $3 dollars for a tiny styrofoam cup. Fill up in Baker or Primm! I was a fool, and chose not too, so unfortunately, I needed gas! If you absolutely must have to stop here, fill up no more than 2 gallons, which should get you to Nevada. Then gas is like 2 dollars a gallon cheaper :) read more

Only stop if you need to! Card readers were not working. If you want to fill your tank, you have to go inside and give your card and your ID. Even then the pump kept stopping. I have been coming to this gas station for the last 15 years. One of the only places I like to stop at. The last two visits in a month there's been problems with the women's toilets. I ask if they could open the middle because long line two toilets were not working the guy, I couldn't understand him, wasn't doing anything he said no he didn't know anything so the cashier leaves the register and fixes it, problem solved. Just wanted to say GREAT job Jessica! !!! read more

Don't come here for the gas, but for the best jerky in the world! The Sweet & Spicy jerky is my favorite and had to make a stop on the way back from Vegas to get some more. There are samples so check them out. There is a vast selection of nuts, fudge, candy, dried fruit and soda as well. The gas is expensive, so fill up only if you have to. At the same time, I'm glad that it is a gas station so the hours are long (24 hours???) The restrooms are well kept which is much appreciated. read more

They overcharge for gas. $4.29 a gallon but my navigation said that it was $2.77 a gallon. They have me $3 extra on gas. It just didn't make sense, so I need to get weights and measures involved. read more

It is a gas station between Vegas and So-Cal you know you have to pay, one of the most awesome men's bathrooms EVER, get back in your car and keep driving. Skip the snacks, overpriced and the nuts were somewhat stale and not the greatest location. But if you are driving back after a weekend in Vegas and you need something to hold you over this is the money. But the urinal in the men's room is glorious. read more

Very cool men's bathroom. It has a fancy urinal fountain inside it too, But you would have to wait because its so small. It fits two people but its tight, might as well wait till nobody's there so you will have privacy. The snacks are fresh from a farm. The drinks taste good too. But the gas is pricey always. read more

RIP OFF! Price gouging at its finest! I guess they had to pay for the waterfall urinal.

Quirky. Looks more like a big shack than a SHELL. Very friendly owner! Polished rocks for kids! Waterfall feature in bathroom! ZOLTAR machine (with Elvis sunglasses)! No toilet paper, the bathroom was a mess, and the frickin urinal was a waterfall! In the middle of the desert! No wonder the gas costs so much; not just because it's in the middle of nowhere, but because they have to pay the astronomical water and design bills. read more

As a California resident, I always stop here between Vegas and Los Angeles. I love their home made jerky & sweet treats and usually grab extras for friends back home. They have an excellent selection of goods that would be difficult to find elsewhere, craft rootbeers, ginger ales, BBQ sauce, hot sauce, etc. Their own brand of chocolates, candy, jerky, and nuts is high quality with no preservatives. Decorations are cute and keep to the mining theme, staff is generally friendly, and location is convenient for the drive along the 15 if you are starting to get hungry & there is few to zero food options nearby. Some items can be pricey and I never stop here for gas due to pricing (this is why I gave 4 stars vs 5) but overall a great place to stop for unique drinks & snacks. read more

Be prepared for pricey gas and long lines in the women's restroom since it's the only gas & rest area available that is in the middle of no where towards Las Vegas. read more

Avoid. Gas prices are extremely high and the pumps don't function properly or have painted graffiti so you can't read the screen. We had to go inside & wait in a long line to pay for gas ($67 for nearly a full tank) and $1.50 for two cups of ice. We were asked to leave our credit card and license which resulted in getting back into that long line. Miserable experience. read more

Very BAD Place! Gas station without a Restroom? What's up with that? I ask the girl at the register she said they don't have a restroom but for themselves. When I left, I saw a couple of guys relieving themselves outside in the desert. Disgusting! Won't be stopping here ever again! read more
