I love this gas station. They have everything inside, while it is expensive, you can usually find a healthy snack, coffee, fountain soda or a yummy treat. The clerk doesn't say much. He's not knowledgeable when it comes to product prices. He asks the customer to do more leg work than he's willing to do. The women's restroom is terrible. There are maybe 3-4 stalls. One of em is out of order. Another has a used and soiled toilet seat cover on it. One of the 2 sinks is out of order. There aren't paper towels. Yuck! Gas prices are crazy high but these are the times that we live in, $6.39/gal as of today, 05/08/26. The pump areas are heat and clean. Nothing appears to be out of order. This Chevron gas station linked with ExtraMile & Taco Bell is located in Baker, CA, on the way to and from Las Vegas, NV. It is right off 15 Fwy. I have been here for gas and restroom breaks in the past. Staff are usually friendly. Nice size parking lot. Most recently, I was so tired and had to drop by here to rest (aka sleep). I parked in front of Taco Bell. Their dine-in area was closed at the time. Drive-thru may have been still open. Anyway, I meant to rest for 20 minutes, but ended up sleeping for an hour LOL. I can always rely on Chevron for gas and ExtraMile for drinks & snacks and restrooms. Prices may be a bit higher than other brands, but they seem to be available when I need them most. The bathrooms are clean, but don't use this gas station if you have a business group or caravan. You can't pay at the pump, so you have to prepay for gas, then pump, then go back for a receipt which shows amount of gas purchased and amount refunded to your card for any extra gas you prepaid for. None of the guys behind the desk spoke English, so it was tough coordinating a fill-up of five large vehicles and getting all the receipts. I have to answer to a business office at work for the receipts, so this will involve at least a billable hour or two to sort out. We go out to Shoshone regularly with caravans, but this store lost our business with this shenanigan. read more

I've been coming here since I was little, it's a quick spot to grab a bite at Taco Bell but throughout the years the bathrooms have just completely downgraded, I don't even remember the last time they had a working paper dispenser.. the bathrooms truly need a remodel or atleast stuff that actually works. Besides that, I've noticed they hire whoever, a year ago there was this pretty rude Hispanic lady, and even now today there's this Indian guy at the front that is just on the phone every time I've showed up! Gas was $7 a gallon. It was a $1 to $1.50 more than everywhere I traveled in California. I actually stopped at a gas station in Barstow, that was $6 a gallon and thought Baker would be less. I miscalculated on that. Once inside I used the restroom. The stalls were not operational, the floors and sink area was dirty. Definitely was not being monitored. I was going to get some snacks, I looked around but I just figured all of those would be high priced as well and left. Heading down the barren Interstate 15 (I would say lonely but it's rare you'll find yourself on this stretch of road with no other drivers). From either direction whether you stop in Baker will depend on a few things not the least of which is a rest room break. Gas is probably more important if you're running low. Yeah gas would be number one. Rest Room number two. Food and/or snacks number three. That's probably about it and then you're back on the road. This is one of the better choices for stops and seems to be the most popular. They've got the gas, toilets and all the food and snacks you desire (for snacks maybe just want but don't necessarily need). Seems like some snacks you don't eat unless you're on a long road trip. There's parking all the way around the building and during the peak of day each spot is usually full. If you're just here for gas, no problem at the pumps. This is Baker so three stars is all you need to get through. Get in, take care of your business, get back out and get to steppin' (I mean drive'n). read more

This gas station is $1.20 more per gallon than Barstow. It is slightly more expensive than the other gas stations in Baker. They appear to take advantage of the fact that they are the first gas station off the freeway. They have a fully stocked mini market and a Kentucky Fried Chicken and Yogurtland. The bathrooms are open to the public and clean. They are very busy. I did not buy anything in the mini mart because the line was extremely long. I recommend purchasing a small amount of gas and then filling your tank in Barstow. read more

This is the the BEST pit stop at Baker because their restrooms are HUGE, so you won't have to wait in line to relieve yourself! The women's restroom has 15 stalls & 4 sinks. The men's restroom has 2 stalls & 5 urinals. That's a lot more than the other gas stations around here. If you are driving from Vegas to LA, it is the very First gas station on the right when you exit Baker. It stands alone, separated from the strip of gas stations, fast food, etc. If you are driving from LA to Vegas, it will be the very Last gas station on your left. To be honest, this Chevron surprised me a little bit... As expected, most of the pumps were busy... but inside, the store was actually very clean and wasn't hectic considering it's busy location. The men's bathroom was clean and big enough for a few people... the cashiers were ringing everybody up and actually had a personality, and weren't just robots like your typical gas station cashier. This Chevron gas station made for a convenient pit stop on the road between Bakersfield and Las Vegas. There was easy access both on and off the freeway, the gas isn't too expensive, and they have an Extra Mile convenience store with a good selection of drinks and snacks. This review is strictly for the restroom... It definitely isn't fit for a Queen but it gets the job done. Fully stocked with heavy duty two-ply and soap. Running water is always a plus and a good toilet that flushes with power. That's pretty much it. It's clean enough but it's still a pretty gross gas station restroom. An ok option in the Baker area for gas, snacks and lotto tickets. I don't usually stop here for anything but gas when I'm headed back to Vegas from California. The lot needs some repaving and can be quite rocky and pothole-ridden. The gas is pretty expensive as well, but that's to be expensive in an area such as this.
