Brendon/chuy is so kind and helpful - baker auto is great. They are road trip saviors!

We were on our way back from watching No Doubt in the Sphere late night in June and my tire popped out of nowhere. It was pretty creepy and scary waiting 2 hours for AAA to arrive and tow us to the nearest city. I happen to find Baker Auto and within 30 minutes Brendan came in and got my tire replaced. I appreciate and value the service and care he had to help me out and replace my tire. Definitely recommend. And it's a 24 hour shop!!!!! read more

We drove over an object on the road caused the immediate flat tire. Called the AAA, to get connect to towing truck after almost 1 hr, to get told to wait for another 90 min for them to come. Instead, we called Baker Auto. Immediate asked where we are (7 miles away) and our tire detail to ensure they have it on the stock. Gave me the break down of total cost of the new tire and service cost. They told me will come within 45 min. Finally, got brand new tire on and we are back on the road safety. They are so much better than AAA !!! read more

literally stuck on the side of the road and Baker Auto saved the day. reasonable prices and amazing service. Brendan was amazingggg

Had a flat tire 15 miles outside Baker and limped into this shop after seeing the yelp reviews. Both the mechanic and owner were helpful, courteous, and took excellent care of the situation, replacing the flat with a new tire at a fair price. And even going above and beyond by also re-securing the plastic wheel guard that had become damaged by whatever punctured my tire. I was in an emergency situation where I didn't know what to expect and this was the kind of place that restores your faith in humanity a little bit! read more

Called here on a Sunday because I needed two tires for my trailer while out in the desert... Thankfully they were open and had the tires I needed available in stock. I drove my truck with the two tires over and they got to work immediately. The guy working was so kind and diligent. Even had my two dogs with me and they had a large water bowl for them to drink out of... I highly recommend this shop. Great price too. read more

Baker Auto - new tire - Tires Near Me - Baker, California

Car got a flat on the front driver side tire about 20 minutes south of Baker coming back from Vegas a day after New Year's. Called my insurance who said they would get a tow truck for me in an hour. After an hour I heard nothing and called the tow company they assigned me only to find out my insurance assigned a Las Vegas tow company that cancelled my service due to being out of the area, no notification was given or anything. In a last minute haste and after being stranded on the side of the road for 3 hours waiting for a tow truck that would never come, we decided to contact Baker Auto Repair. We spoke to Brendan who said he would be able to come to us in 40 minutes. He came pretty much by the time he said he would, listened to our issue and with no questions loaded us on the tow truck and brought us back to the shop. Another employee, Marcos, was able to replace my front driver side tire and filled the rest of my tires with air. In the process, we discovered my rear driver tire had a nail in it and I wanted it to be replaced to avoid any future issues. The shop did not have another tire available in my size, however Marcos and Brendan worked hard to find another one nearby and were able to secure one. All of this in total took around 2 hours, which at that point I was willing to wait as I had already been out on the road for 5 hours. Overall, the employees were extremely friendly and helpful and turned a stressful situation into a positive one. The availability and speed in which they handled our situation left me really satisfied and I definitely recommend anyone in the area to call these guys first! read more

Baker Auto - New tire we were provided. - Tires Near Me - Baker, California

On my way home to LA from a raider game in Vegas and my Chevy volt popped a tire. Mind you, all 4 tires were brand new. Come to find out my damn Chevy volt doesn't come with a spare (I'm selling this damn car) and I have a 11 month old in the back seat that I really just wanted to get off the road. I figured out a tow truck and called baker auto right after and they answered on the 3rd ring. After checking to see if he had my tire size, he quoted me a reasonable price. I'm very grateful for these guys. You might be asking how do I now it was reasonable? Because I called other businesses and they gave me the understanding of highway robbery! God bless this company, our family is very grateful. read more

Don't wait around for insurance. Call these guys directly. They came out in under 30 min and took care of the issue. Very quick and professional! Brandon is a life saver! We blew a turbo hose between Vegas and Baker while towing a trailer back from South Dakota. After hobbling along and reclamping the hose about a dozen times, the clamp finally gave out completely 20 miles before hitting Baker. Brandon not only sold us a new hose kit for less than we would have paid at an autoparts store, but also found someone to drive it out to us for a very reasonable fee. At this point I was desperate and would have paid just about anything quoted, but was very pleased that he did not take advantage of our situation. If you are ever having car problems and concerned about stopping in a small town repair shop, place those concerns aside and have no fear of being taken advantage of here. I hope I never have car problems on the road again but if I do then I hope it happens near Baker. Thank you Brandon for going the extra mile to get us back up and running! read more

On our way to LA, we hit a pothole about 20 miles north from Baker and got flats on both the front and rear tires on the passenger side. I called around and Baker Auto Repair had the best prices on tires in the area and offered mobile service so someone can drive out to us and change both tires. I called at 8:25 and we were back on the road by 9:07. Brandon met us on the side of the road and was quick, professional, and friendly. The mobile service was definitely worth it and saved us over three hours waiting for a tow from AAA. Thank you Brandon! read more

It's never a good feeling to have you car break down and that feeling is definitely magnified when it's in between la and Vegas in 90+ degree weather. But, if your car ever breaks down, your best bet is to bring it here with Brendan! He's super helpful, friendly and honest. I have an Audi A5 and had it towed to his shop. He quickly told me my options in regards to the issue and the fact that he doesn't really work on Audi's. I ended having to park my car here for 7 days before I could get a tow (aaa premier membership) and the car was well protected and safe. I would recommend Baker Auto Repair over and over again. Hopefully your car doesn't break down, but at least you'll have a trustworthy and quality shop here! Thank you again! read more

On 6/28/21, my daughter's car broke down on the way to Vegas after 6pm. Brandon spoke with me and gave us great advice on taking the car to Vegas instead of leaving it in Baker. He could have told me to take the car to his shop but he was honest and super helpful. We ended up taking the car to Vegas as he suggested. I really appreciate his honestly and his time in speaking with us. I highly recommend this Repair Shop. read more

We can't recommend Brendan enough for the service he provided. He immediately knew the issue over the phone, picked us up, had our belt delivered from Barstow, and then we were off to Vegas. Super nice and honest guy. Thank you again, Brendan! read more

I broke down 30 miles north of Baker California in my 2003 Honda pilot that has 250,000 miles on it. Tried to get roadside assistance with my insurance but I was just talking to a computer. Looked up Baker Auto and got a person (Brendan) who seemed concerned and told me he could pick me up with his own tow truck. My car was fixed the very next day and I was able to drive all the way back to Los Angeles. Rescuing Angel. I was so impressed I even bought him some crappy donuts from the gas station. read more

I was light off-roading near Tecopa when on the way back to the 15 freeway my alternator died. I limped into his shop. Keep in mind that in Baker, there's no auto parts store. All parts have to be brought in from Barstow, Victorville or Vegas. Mark was able to get me part in the same day. Unfortunately for me, while he was working on my car, we learned that the radiator was also cracked from me driving fast down the washboard dirt roads. By that time it was too late to get a radiator brought up. Mark was very helpful helping me find lodging for the night. He goes above and beyond what a regular mechanic does. He even dropped me off at my airbnb that night. The next day when the radiator arrived, he replaced it and got me on my way. He even called to make sure I got back to LA safe. Mark is a very honest person and he'll take care of you should you need your car fixed while out there. read more

Jeff & Sarah absolutely saved us!! While traveling from Seattle to Eastern Oregon, the car began making a very bad noise & overheating. On the way back to LA from Las Vegas, our tire blew out 10 min past the state line just before 5 pm. Luckily a very kind man pulled over to help change my shredded tire out with the spare. Afterwards, I immediately called Baker tire and spoke with Brendon. He was super nice and agreed to wait for me even though he was preparing to close shop for the day. I told him my car make and model and he assured me he would have the tire we need. Once we arrived, he quickly assessed my car and replaced our shredded tire with a new tire. Our trailer nearly lost a wheel just outside of Baker. It was 7pm and a quick call to these guys got everything in motion.
