Zeytin ended up being such a fantastic find! I was originally planning to order my usual gyro plate, but my server, Tanner (I know there's a Turkish version of the name and it's escaping me!), took the time to chat with me and walk me through the different dishes on the menu. Thanks to his recommendations and kindness, I decided on the Doner Kebab Plate -- and oh my goodness, the flavor was absolutely incredible. Beyond the amazing food, Tanner was warm, welcoming, patient, and happy to answer all of my questions. That level of hospitality really made the experience memorable. 10/10 -- I'll absolutely be back the next time I visit!

The falafel salad was dry and old. No pita bread was ready until we were almost finished with our meal. The Gyro meat had no taste and the dolmas tasted canned. (Trader Joes are better). It seems the overall care of the restaurant had badly declined. Our booth had tipped seats, most of the tables had remains of other diners' meal - not appetizing / we bused our own table. Just overall not a good dining experience!

My mouth waters when I think about the dinner - and our visit was a month ago! 2. Husband had the lamb burger. He still hasn't stopped talking about how good it was. 3. The service was excellent. The waiter was SO polite, SO well dressed. I felt like I was in a fancy European bistro. 4. Which brings me to the ambiance. I felt a tad under-dressed. We were not planning on going there, it was a random choice. (A great one, mind you!) We had dropped my son off at the airport and were waiting for his flight to take off, so we decided to grab sthg to eat. It was a little fancier than a "cafe," in my opinion. Beautiful tile floors - the name of the restaurant was right there in the foyer (on the floor). Fancy. Lovely. Delicious. We'll be back next month. Bringing the mother-in-law this time!

The restaurant is located in a complex that is pretty busy, and parking is pretty tight. I would recommend parking in the garage behind the restaurant or trying to snag a spot in the Trader Joe's parking lot. We made reservations on Saturday morning for Saturday evening, and the restaurant was busy but not too packed. Our server was attentive and very helpful. The ambiance is very nice, and the restaurant is decorated pretty well. We started with several appetizers and a couple of cocktails. We got the lamb meatballs, the hummus, the calamari, and the roasted cauliflower. All of it was delicious. For entrees, we got the adana kebab, the salmon kebab, and the cheese pizza thing (forgot the actual name!). All of it was delicious but the Adonna kebab was amazing. The Salman in kebab was a little bit dry and overcooked but still tasty. We will definitely be back and hopefully in the future, we can sit on the patio when the weather is nicer.

A male employee, who appeared to be the shift manager, with shoulder-length black hair came to the register from the restroom visibly sniffling. While checking me out, he wiped his nose with the back of his hand, leaving visible mucus, and continued the transaction without addressing it. What was even more alarming was what followed. I observed him enter the kitchen area and blow his nose over food. He then briefly ran his hands under water, in the kitchen, without using soap and immediately resumed handling food. He proceeded to work with hummus and place cookie dough onto a baking sheet, all without wearing a hair net or properly washing his hands. This level of carelessness with hygiene is unacceptable, and I would strongly caution others about eating at this location until these issues are addressed.

Tazikis has everything you can think of when it comes to Mediterranean. I go with their feast, which comes with a protein, choice of side, side salad and a pita. My preference is the lamb as it tastes great and is well balanced and the potatos are phenom. Tazikis' app allows you to customize and order fast so when I want a great meal without having to do much work, I am in an out quickly for pickup. My only small qualm is that they barely put any feta and kalamata olives on their salad so I end up adding from my fridge at home. Small detail, I know, but it's noticeable. The only other thing (that is out of Tazikis control) is that the strip mall/small business center they're in is pretty cramped for parking so be aware if you're headed there for dinner. I have a lot of choices in Las Colinas but I always come away pleased after Tazikis.
