    Falafel Wrap
    Shenouda N.

Here's a review for Shawarma Bar: We visited Shawarma Bar at Legacy Hall after spotting this Mediterranean restaurant and decided to give it a try. We ordered the falafel wraps, hoping for a flavorful experience. Unfortunately, they fell short of our expectations. The wraps were average overall, and I'd rate them a 6 out of 10. The main issue was the spice level -- it was far too spicy, and they didn't ask how we preferred it. My wife couldn't eat hers because of how overwhelming the heat was. It would be much better if they offered the sauce on the side or at least asked customers about their preferred spice level before serving. This small adjustment would make a big difference for a wider range of diners.

A great spot within Legacy food hall! The staff is nice and the food is super flavorful. The beef/lamb gyro is one of our favorites. The falafel is also really fluffy and crunchy. They definitely don't skimp on anything! The Shawarma Stack is huge and can definitely feed 2 people.

My first time at this place! It looks amazing - and the pita/hummus was, but there wasn't much chicken and it was $15 for this bowl. I feel like that price is steep when they aren't giving you much protein. Been there, done that but probably won't go back!

Food here is good. I got the lmb shawrma bowl over salad. I was in the mood for something like this and I'm doing low carb. One of the only spots in the legacy hall that lets you choose options on that. That being said...not sure why when I asked for "no rice" did the girl freeze and just go "wuuuuut?". You can't tell me in Plano that everyone is scarfing down carbs. I found it mildly annoying. The price was a bit high for what I got. Bowl and a bottled water was $18. That's my reason for 3 stars. I didn't get enough meat to justify that price point. I did appreciate the gratuitous hummus and tzatiki helping.

I'm very unsatisfied with my order from this restaurant. I have never had this issue before. This is a very small amount of food to put in a bowl and sell at this price. I had to go get other food from somewhere else because of how hungry I was after eating it. Keep in mind that I ordered from Uber Eats. There was more cabbage in the bowl than chicken. They put maybe one spoon of rice, half a spoon of chicken and filled the rest with a bunch of vegetables, which didn't even make the bowl full. You could see the bottom of it. The food tasted horrible too. Nothing authentic about it. There was no flavor. The bowl was also missing a lot of items they were supposed to put in it. These are the items listed for this bowl: With rice, hummus, tabbouleh, tahini, parsley, tomato, sumac onions, pickled cucumber & Pita. As you can also see from the photo, there was no hummus, tabbouleh, tahini, parsley, tomato, onions (of any kind!), and pickled cucumber. And there was mushroom in the bowl, which wasn't listed here. Even the ingredients of this bowl weren't correct!

Located in the food hall in the most happening hood which consist of multiple restaurants. Lamb Gyro is ok as i felt the meat was not on the dry side. Meat felt lil watery. Pros: ------- Quick service Lot of options in the food hall Not expensive Parking

Finding good Mediterranean food in DFW is pretty much impossible if you have had truly great Mediterranean food like in Michigan for example. Compared to other similar restaurants in DFW this one is good. Their selection is pretty small, one thing I really like is that their lamb is actually lamb and not a mix of lamb and ground beef like many Mediterranean restaurants in DFW serve. I typically get their lamb gyro or their bowl with lamb, both are really good. Fresh veggies and good flavors. There are no affordable restaurants in Legacy Hall but I think you get pretty good value at this one. You can always get water from the shared common area if you want to save money.

Lots of options at Legacy Hall, but surprisingly few vegan ones. Opted for a falafel wrap - 3 falafel, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion. Normally comes with feta and tzatziki (cucumber yogurt sauce). Go vegan with no feta and tahini (sesame sauce) instead. Quality was good - not great. Falafel a little dry but flavorful. Portion size good for $6.95. If you're here, hungry and in the mood not a bad option. If 3.5 were an option, I'd give these guys an extra half star (at least for the service).

This place is my very favorite place to eat every time we go to Legacy Hall. I always get the chicken shawarma bowl with rice, and the chicken always has such amazing flavor. You can absolutely get lettuce instead of rice if you're looking for a less carby option. The selection of toppings is abundant and their sauces are very tasty. The staff that works here has always been very kind and personable which adds to the many reasons I love this place.

I had a hankering for something Mediterranean and fresh. This place hit the spot. Two very nice gentleman helped make a chicken bowl, I was able to pick all the toppings and sauces I wanted. They were very nice and the bowl was ginormous. It has everything you want! All of toppings looked fresh and flavorful. I also wanted to try the falafel. Three to an order with a cream sauce topping. They are not like the usual flat and round falafel I've tried and they were a bit dry but I'll try again next time. Overall it was a tasty dining experience with great additions and toppings. Nice service too. I will be back.

Ambiance/Atmosphere Rating: 9.5 out of 10. What we tried: Lamb Shank Plate: tender, fall off the bone lamb, with rice that is so tasty that you can just eat the rice by itself. I don't even like rice like that; it's not one of my favorite carbs. The Lamb had a very mild flavor. 9.5 out of 10 for me. This was a fabulous adventure! We took a few hours to visit Sarahs Market and ate lunch at their S Grill. The market is very small, but every inch of its space is very special. First, we found our way to the back corner and sat at a tiny countertop with only 4 chairs. The counter faces an open top grill, and you're able to talk/ watch the chefs make the food. The menu is limited and pricey! We ordered one steak kabob ($26.00). The steak was served medium rare, very juicy, on top of a long rice (similar to rice pasta), and it was coated in a delicious seasoning completely unfamiliar to us. It came with roasted tomatoes & purple onion. You can select from several sides, we picked the hummus. It was a huge portion, enough for 2 people. The chef was so pleased to have us and was very impressed that we were there to learn. He gave us many "generous" sized samples of the sides and sauces they offered. Everything was made in-house, from scratch with fresh ingredients from their grocery store. It was a wonderful experience! The bakery aspect of this location is a small glass display case full of sweets, like macaroons, cheesecake baklava, and more. Most of them were new to us. The pastry chef gave us a few samples that had us buying a bunch to take home, lol. We strolled through the grocery store part of the market before leaving and bought a few items we already enjoyed. The difference was buying things that are made in-house, like pita bread. You can definitely see, smell, and taste the difference. A FIVE STAR review for their authenticity, hospitality, and delicious fresh food. If you're in the area you've got to try the Grilled Kabobs.

Afrah is THE place to be for Mediterranean food - before Greenville Ave became Arab central, before there was anyone, there was Afrah. A beautiful, airy restaurant with gorgeous seating, a bustling dessert case, ice cream center and so many treats to offer under one roof. Afrah is to the Muslim community in Richardson as a glove is to a hand. It truly is a one stop shop for all your nostalgic cravings, and it would be a grave injustice on my part if I didn't stop by here and sing praise to one of the most loved Mediterranean restaurants in the DFW area. We visited here recently for an iftar buffet experience and were very very happy with the food we got. The buffet line was running smoothly, from staff working diligently to hand everyone a tray with napkins, plates and cutlery already set for you. Waiters were going around the massive dining hall clearing plates, making sure everyone had what they needed, seating patrons and asking if everything tasted good. This establishment runs like a literal well oiled machine and I am so impressed. The food was as always out of this world. Carefully prepared menu that satisfies everyone's taste buds. A good selection of classic cold appetizers like the baba ghanoush, hummus, and variety of salads. Always including something unique for a typical Middle Eastern flare. Hot lentil soup available with bowls carefully placed in the vicinity. So many different types of kebabs and freshly made hot pita bread being replaced like clockwork. The buffet had many of my favorite classics like Shawarma meat, beef kebab, chicken kebab. Lamb, chicken stew, baked chicken, everything was present in abundance. They even had salmon which I deeply appreciated as a seafood lover. My only complaint is the food wasn't hot enough which can be annoying with a buffet that is serving so many people during a busy time like Ramadan. Everything tasted absolutely phenomenal and when I returned for dessert, I was greeted with six different types of sweets from all over the world. That's the thing about this place. There's always something for everybody. The dining hall was bustling with not just Muslim patrons, but also a lot of American white patrons who equally enjoy the food here as much as we do. Inclusions of dishes like shrimp pasta, fried fish, chocolate mousse, and other fan favorites is a humble nod to non-Arab customers who love to frequent this place as much as we do. If you are looking for a quality Mediterranean experience look no further than this long-standing Mediterranean Haven. Thank you for nourishing the community.
