Line up was a bit awkward.. you're kind of forced to stand outside if it's more than 3 people, and then when you're in you have a short time to look at the menu or food case. Got the Jeremy sandwich which was full of flavour and my husband got the ham egg breakfast sandwich. Both great! Our drinks were pleasant. We also bought the churro croissants which were unique and pretty good! Lots of seating outdoors, not too much indoors. Staff friendly. Quick interaction.

Where have I been all this time????? And I am a devoted "dog mom", so this place is totally right down my alley! It's tucked away, though, and not so easy to find if you've never been here before, but it's SO worth the time to find it and visit! Hands down, this is the most dog-friendly place I think I've ever been to. Photos of patrons' dogs plaster the walls. Dog notices are posted everywhere. I believe this cafe was named for the owner's Great Dane. People bring their dogs here. It's as dog-friendly as they come. And I love that. The coffee and pastries are fantastic. I hear the lunch sandwiches are good, too. My friend has been here often and says it's consistently good. My biggest issue with this place is the lack of seating. In the summer, sure, you can sit outside on the various concrete half-walls and benches, and there's a large outdoor patio area with a lot of tables and chairs, but in the winter, or on rainy days, there are very few tables and seats here. FYI.

We didn't stick around as we were on our way to the Pacific Spirit Regional Park trails. However, the setting of the café was enchanting enough for me to come back with my husband two days later for Sunday breakfast. We ordered our americanos, breakfast croissant, and breakfast sandwich and found a table in the courtyard outside the chalet-looking building of the café. There is small park in the courtyard along with about half a dozen tables. It was still rather early on a Sunday morning before 0930. It was quiet but neighbours were starting to emerge for their morning coffees, yoga stretches and dog walks. The americanos were rich. Good sign before we tasted our coffee: they were not served in mugs, foamy, and dark. Our croissant and English muffin sandwiches were pressed. My croissant had cheese and turkey slices with an addictive spicy jam. The English muffin halves of his egg and ham sandwiches were so pressed that they did not resemble English muffins. However, he said it was so good with its texture, greasiness and flavours. I think I'm going to get that next time.

I went on a Saturday night and there was a lot of space inside. Our drinks came out quick and tasted good. Price was also very good, especially for the size of drink that you get! The location was quite difficult to find unless you live around the dorm or studying at UBC. It was at the rear area next to Subway and the direction was quite confusing for us. Anyways, the drinks weren't too exciting to begin with. It was a very slow day when we walked in. Menu was pretty basic. No brown sugar milk tea or fancy stuff like roasted milk tea or Thai milk tea, it's just the cheap powdered stuff mostly. We had UFO with pearls (Icecream coffee float $5.95) and Taro Slush with pearls ($6.10 and 60 cents for pearls) they were okay. My drink was okay, but the pearls didn't taste good. My friend didn't like her Taro Slush it tasted too chalky. She didn't like it. Price was too expensive for drinks. Pearls were extra charge. Service was average. The store was pretty slow and the staff wasn't friendly enough. My pal needed to use washroom, but the area was blocked so people don't use it.
